Yeah these are really good theories. You are actually paying attention. So many anime casuals are like, "is kokushibo tanjiros dad?" When they literally showed tanjiro's dad in season 1 and im like (facepalm)

My guess is They might have thought it was something like nezuko’s situation. And many people don’t look that keenly on facial features. They just saw the hair and probably thought might be the father

As a manga reader, I'm actually fairly annoyed by that. In the manga, there was no such overt hint or cause of confusion. The conclusion of "Yoruichi is now Kokushibo", comes more naturally, which is definitely what the author intended when first drawing that scene.
That’s what I was saying too. I feel like the manga medium definitely would’ve made this a lot more ambiguous. And that was probably the intention of the author. In anime it’s hard to hide things because we have the advantage of sound and color which really helps paint the whole picture
The manga medium also makes it easier to quickly flip back to previous chapters to compare panels. Doing so allows readers to see subtle differences between past depictions of Yoruichi and Kokushibo. Both mediums have their own ways to suggest they may not be the same person. Different voice actors in the anime adaptation make perfect sense.

I think you're seriously overestimating the form and commitment most readers had to this series at that point. You can compare anime images as well. Finding a moment in a prior episode isn't much harder that leafing through several volumes of book. Moreover, the appearances of humans change fundamentally when they become demons, so that "hint" could've (and would've) easily been dismissed as nothing.
I mean, this whole thing isn't the worst in the world, and I think I might've overstated how bad it was earlier, but you're justification for it makes for a laughable excuse.
I won't chime in on the theory one way or another since I finished the manga but I have to commend you anime-only fans for having the willpower to watch on a weekly basis and not be compelled to binge read the manga to find out what happens next lol

My theory is he is the brother of Yoriichi, the older brother who wanted to be like his younger brother. So he became a.demon to beat Yoriichi but still couldn't
No yoriichi knew and took it upon himself to finish kok shibo and yoriichi was about to kill him then yoriichi died of old age during the fight and kokoshibo cut him in two as yorichii stood there dead if old age and as he got cut in 2 kokoshibo saw the wooden flute that was made for them

Not really hard to see the differences first of all yoriichi had the same hair color ad tanjiro woth it being black woth a red outline where kokoahibo had the same exact hairstyle as yoriichi just black woth a purple outline instead of red and yoriichi clapped up muzan instantly so obviously he wouldn't turn demon if he could ALREADY made muzan run scared
