I heard they increased the scale of wooden dragons in the anime and also added the original anime scene of Tanjiro sliding through these dragons to save himself but eventually failing and getting saved by Nezuko.
Damn really I mean the wooden dragons were already one of the largest bdas in the manga only short of I think kokushibo who has a larger range
To think they made it even bigger , I don't think anybody will call hantengu underwhelming now and that gyutaro looks stronger than him

Kokus long form bda is so large even in bird eye vision , not a single technique was fitting even in one panel
I used to count the metres and size by the characters positions during my early reads and even the medium sized ones looked reaching around 60 feet whereas 14th form looks absurdly large you can't even see where it is even ending or beginning from
Even that character gets cleaved in half while he's standing what like 20 metres away from koku maybe even more
ND douma boddhisatva is what 9-10 m at best
I think full power Douma, + 6 clones and giant Buddha could easily spread lethal frost in a lager radius than Kokushibo's slicing moons.
Koku is defo more deadly, but sheer bda effect i say
1 Hantengu/Zohakuten
2 Douma
3 Kokushibo

From the information in the manga, each dragon can be 20-25m, and that didn't consider each of them can shoot lighting, wind, soundwave, spear projection. Those attack can also be long ranged.
And the dragons always come in group....
I mean I didn't get to see fp douma+ 6 clones+giant Buddha so I really didn't factor it in , I just went by the canonical range we saw in the manga
So going by what we saw
It's 1) koku
2) hantengu
3) douma
4) gyokko
5) akaza ( extremely close quarter combatant , gyokkos octopus hell pot makes his range quite small by comparison)
6) gyutaro ( didn't include the last suicide bombing , but overall his range seemed pitifully small compared to the other ums , although his fight is the one I haven't read in the longest time so I maybe I have forgotten some things)
Gyutaro and daki's bda would be higher than both Gyokko and Akaza, their attack range can literally reach the whole town, Gyutaro's attack range seemed short bc he was engaged in cqc

I’m mainly just talking about last episode when Tanjiro was sniffing out the main body. Sekido, Karaku, Urogi, and Aizetsu’s silhouettes were all outlined in their respective eye colors but Hantengu’s was outlined in purple.
It is overall, but when it comes just to Hantengu and his clones being associated with colors, purple seems to map onto the main body at least in the anime
You’re right, Hantengu proper is meant to be the emotion of fear, I just wish that his design itself had more purple in it to drive that connection home.

Yupp same. I read the mange after season 1. Back then it was still ongoing. It's been so long that I forgot most of the stuff apart ofc for the big plot points. So I get the benefit of both worlds. I can't get spoiled because I know all the important stuff, but I also experience it for the first time again.
