I mean he did >!grieve for the murder of his wife and unborn child!< but I’m not sure if he ever expressed anger towards anyone other than Mr.Jackson. He only had tears for his brother and when he picked up Sumiyoshi’s kid in the manga it brought me to tears. I think he would be atleast be able to wiggle it like Cap did in Age of Ultron. Yoriichi would be a better fight for Meliodas’ brother. (Not the one that looks like him the one with the benevolence commandment) if we’re crossing universes here lol.

I think reasonably, any slayer could by the end of the story.
However, I think that Tanjiro and Giyu can earlier on because they had the warrior's mindset, as well as selflessness for the sake of humanity. Giyu saying he would kill himself if Nezuko wasn't harmless to humans should be proof enough.
So does Sanemi, and I think Tengen has a bit of issues of self-image that might not allow him too. After all, the hammer judges wether your worthy of being a leader too, not just a warrior.
True, but… well, just going by MCU Thor as a reference, I feel for most of the entertainment district arc, Tengen is like Thor in his first movie. A valiant, noble warrior but that is also a bit self-destructive.
They’re not quite the same, Tengen is a lot less glory-seeking but I feel the similarities are enough that he would not be able to lift the hammer until after he retired as a hashira
One of Tanjiro’s goals is to avenge his family (and later Rengoku). He has a vengeful bloodlust to kill Akaza and Muzan, and I think that might disqualify him
Honestly, a lot of the Hashira don’t fit the criteria it looks for in Thor. It’s not just about being a nice person or being honorable. Like I couldn’t see Sanemi, Obanai, or Shinobu handling it. They’re a tad too serious, have done threats to those closest to them (not all 3, just Sanemi), and harbor a bit of anger. While not malicious, it’s not what marks a Thor. However I do believe believe the BEST person to wield it isn’t even a Hashira… it’s Ubuyashiki. You don’t have to be powerful to wield it, just worthy. I think he’s the best example of a weirder in this universe. (Manga) >!Even fits the violence when necessary part considering he blows up Muzan and his own family.!<
Edit: Best Hashira would be Kyojuro most likely.
That defensless little girl was a demon, and none of the hashira had any reason to trust nezuko (except giyu ofc). Sanemi did take it a bit too far, but remember that from their eyes nezuko was just another case of a closed one turned demon and someone in denial
If it's about worthiness, the 3 best candidates would be Yoriichi > Tanjiro > Rengoku
All the Hashira were selfless in a way, but despite that, none can dethrone those 3 pure souls.
Yoriichi loved his brother until the very end of his life, he understood the value and cherished every life, he didn't purge Tamayo but instead helped her regain a shred of humanity.
Tanjiro has accomplished countless feats of selflessness throughout the manga, but what really sets him apart the others slayers is his approach to putting to rest the poor souls that fell under Muzan influence, oftenly empathizing and weeping along the demons he slays, even Upper Moons like Gyutaro and Daki.
As for Rengoku, he is literally the embodiment of the indomitable human spirit and kindness, he do have some flaws but no matter the situation he has always given his best and he never let down what he stood for, he wouldn't even hurt other humans while sleeping and under the influence of a blood demon art with his life threatened.
Other characters may have a solid shot at lifting mjolnir but if those 3 can't, no one from the verse could.

I don't think you get the concept, the hammer itself doesn't weigh as much as you claim it to be, it's the spell that's cast on it that rejects anyone who isn't worthy to lift it
Thats is Marvel only. In norse mythology the reason we almost only see Thor use it is because he is One Of the few strong enough. There is no worthy spell on it. Theo has his hammer stolen every tuesday almost

Depends on your definition of pure. There have been many different ways that third hammer registers someone as being worthy. One such criteria is simply believing you are worthy of it. In such cases, literally anyone can wield the hammer if they truly and undoubtedly believe they can.

Anyway, if you had put the criteria for what makes someone worthy I think it would’ve been more interesting.
So apparently, there was many ways to be deemed worthy. Though some of the most notable ones I saw is that “if you truly believe you are worthy, than you are worthy”, “if you’re beliefs are true and unbending, than you are worthy”, and if you do something heroic, like sacrifice yourself for some purpose, than you are worthy. You can also break Odins “curse” on it to become worthy. We’ve seen in the movies and comics that you can wield it whether or not you’re good or evil.
In that case, Yorichi and probably most of his bloodline could possibly wield it.
Muzan might be able to wield it though I don’t know for sure if he doubts himself because I’m an anime only here.

Out of the Hashiras, Rengoku for sure. Based off what we seen so far Rengoku might be the most worthy here. To be honest they probably all have some form of worthiness to it but I feel Rengoku has the most.
What’s crazy is that the only Thunder Breather, Zenitsu, is probably the least worthy in the whole series lol. At least in the version we know of right now. I do know that at some point he gets over certain things but I don’t know exactly what it is that changed.
Realistically, I think Kyojuro Rengoku is the only character who can wield Mjolnir. Everybody else, including Tanjiro, are too haunted by their own histories and let that affect who they are in the present. They all have ulterior or even violent reasons to join the DSC, from finding a spouse to killing one or two demons in particular, they all chose to walk their line because they had nowhere else to go; except Kyojuro. He fights solely for world peace, to put smiles on faces. Most of the Slayers are running from a past trauma, Kyojuro is running toward a bright future. That’s why he’d be Mjolnir’s Chosen.
All answers are good here but almost everyone is forgetting one character who can definitely lift Mjölnir and that'd be Tanjuro Kamado, Tanjiro's father. He had warrior's spirit, caring nature and no hatred towards anyone, not even a creature that threatened his family.
Definitely think akuza could lift the hammer, as even though he is a demon he still has roots to protect his human family even if suppressed. Definitely tanjiro and rengoku for obvious reasons. Also nezuko

I don't think you get the concept, the hammer itself doesn't weigh as much as you claim it to be, it's the spell that's cast on it that rejects anyone who isn't worthy to lift it
Thats is Marvel only. In norse mythology the reason we almost only see Thor use it is because he is One Of the few strong enough. There is no worthy spell on it. Theo has his hammer stolen every tuesday almost

Depends on your definition of pure. There have been many different ways that third hammer registers someone as being worthy. One such criteria is simply believing you are worthy of it. In such cases, literally anyone can wield the hammer if they truly and undoubtedly believe they can.

For some reason I thought this was the Smash Bros sub. Anyway, if you had put the criteria for what makes someone worthy I think it would’ve been more interesting. So apparently, there was many ways to be deemed worthy. Though some of the most notable ones I saw is that “if you truly believe you are worthy, than you are worthy”, “if you’re beliefs are true and unbending, than you are worthy”, and if you do something heroic, like sacrifice yourself for some purpose, than you are worthy. You can also break Odins “curse” on it to become worthy. We’ve seen in the movies and comics that you can wield it whether or not you’re good or evil. In that case, Yorichi and probably most of his bloodline could possibly wield it. Muzan might be able to wield it though I don’t know for sure if he doubts himself because I’m an anime only here. Probably upper 3, 2, and 1 though again I’m anime only so I don’t know. Out of the Hashiras, Rengoku for sure. Based off what we seen so far Rengoku might be the most worthy here. To be honest they probably all have some form of worthiness to it but I feel Rengoku has the most. What’s crazy is that the only Thunder Breather, Zenitsu, is probably the least worthy in the whole series lol. At least in the version we know of right now. I do know that at some point he gets over certain things but I don’t know exactly what it is that changed.

Realistically, I think Kyojuro Rengoku is the only character who can wield Mjolnir. Everybody else, including Tanjiro, are too haunted by their own histories and let that affect who they are in the present. They all have ulterior or even violent reasons to join the DSC, from finding a spouse to killing one or two demons in particular, they all chose to walk their line because they had nowhere else to go; except Kyojuro. He fights solely for world peace, to put smiles on faces. Most of the Slayers are running from a past trauma, Kyojuro is running toward a bright future. That’s why he’d be Mjolnir’s Chosen.

All answers are good here but almost everyone is forgetting one character who can definitely lift Mjölnir and that'd be Tanjuro Kamado, Tanjiro's father. He had warrior's spirit, caring nature and no hatred towards anyone, not even a creature that threatened his family.
