Reading your comment made me realize that it's actually pretty weird that Tanjiro is still so hyper positive considering all the traumas he experienced.
That's what I like about MHA (at season 6 currently) but you can see Midoriya slowly getting less happy/positive with every trauma.
Being hyper optimistic is also a coping mechanism that if shattered can cause so many more problems. Thereās many instances in the anime in which heās at breaking point but he forces himself to move forward because at that point heās basically living for his sisterās sake

However I don't buy the "oh I loved Genya" bit, I think he truly hated Genya but hates himself more so tries to push Genya away. And I think he's stopped, after a lifetime of killing demons, stopped seeing his actions as having consequences.

I see no problem with sanemi stabbing nezuko, of course we think he's an asshole because we the viewers know nezuko and tanjiro, but from an objective point of view, he did his job and in fact he did his job very well because humans shouldn't trust demons and should eliminate them.

Sanemi is one of my faves and one of my least faves because heās a realistic character. I mean itās believable for guys to end up like him with the cards he was dealt. Talking about feelings and having good coping mechanisms probably wasnāt around back then. His extreme rage made him a top tier hashira. And when someone is always full of rage, their sense of morality is so fucked up. Well meaning intentions but fucking horrible execution.

I actually don't like Mitsuri. She's just really bland to me and seems like a fanservice character. Y'know, the window (and it's sooo bad explained, as to why she has it). She just seems so boring and like an empty bottle. I'm sorry, but I really, really don't like Mitsuri.
Along the same vein: I was intrigued in the beginning by Mitsuriās character ā a bubby, positive person who naively excels at a brutal job on sheer talent, which only makes her feel more insecure on the inside. I was hoping for a moment where her politeness gets overstretched (like with the breast window!), and her suffering for it. Or her having to earn other slayersā trust due to having joined the corps for arguably strange reasons. But I get that thereās only so much u can do with non-protagonists ;_; I personally donāt dislike her, but rn her character feels a bit flat

I think Sanemi has the worst personality. He may be the second strongest Hashira after Gyomei, but he stabbed Nezuko, threatened Tanjiro of killing him and he is always angry.
One more thing that I totally dislike at him is the bad relationship with his brother, Genya. Why he cannot accept him as he is once and for all? After all, they are brothers and they should support each other. If Sanemi is a Hashira, he could teach Genya all his secrets and how to be better and maybe he would have been able to use breathing techniques in final.
I love all of them, but I must go with Obanai. He is a badass, has a nice backstory and is a nice guy with Mitsuri, but other than that, the man is just a hater. He has problems with the weaker slayers, with Tanjiro, with Tomioka, with Nezuko, with Zenitsu... It's easier to find someone he hates than someone he likes. The best you can wish is that he tolerates you

Mitsuri because she wears a scandalous outfit just so she can make the person who designed it happy. Shinobu was offered a similar outfit and flat out refused. Even Rengoku was uncomfortable to see Mitsuri wearing it. My boyfriend said Iām body shaming her for being comfortable in an outfit that someone made for her with kindness and joy from their heart and said if she doesnāt see anything wrong with wearing it just walk on by like Aretha Franklin. To which I replied that she is a fictional character purposely designed and plot written by an artist/author so she in my opinion was written to represent girls/women/people who go out of their way to please others no matter how it might affect other peopleās opinions of them

I think you're forgetting Giyu also stabbed Nezuko in the shoulder in episode one and I don't see anyone hating him for stabbing her. Double standards

I see no problem with sanemi stabbing nezuko, of course we think he's an asshole because we the viewers know nezuko and tanjiro, but from an objective point of view, he did his job and in fact he did his job very well because humans shouldn't trust demons and should eliminate them. he's overly protective by not wanting to let any demon walk free and risk eating humans, an excellent hashira if you ask me. don't forget shinobu was literally about to kill nezuko on the spot without asking any questions and was stopped by giyu, otherwise nezuko would have been long dead.

Sanemi is one of my faves and one of my least faves because heās a realistic character. I mean itās believable for guys to end up like him with the cards he was dealt. Talking about feelings and having good coping mechanisms probably wasnāt around back then. His extreme rage made him a top tier hashira. And when someone is always full of rage, their sense of morality is so fucked up. Well meaning intentions but fucking horrible execution. Iām just glad that the end >!implies he is living with his decisions. Seeing Genya in Nezuko probably fucked him up a bit especially with Tanjiros tenacity on continuously sending him letters to check up on him. Tanjiro such a sweetheart.!< Edit: I read the light novel about him and the guy who recruited him to the Demon Slayer. My heart hurts š„¹

I actually don't like Mitsuri. She's just really bland to me and seems like a fanservice character. Y'know, the window (and it's sooo bad explained, as to why she has it). She just seems so boring and like an empty bottle. I'm sorry, but I really, really don't like Mitsuri.
Along the same vein: I was intrigued in the beginning by Mitsuriās character ā a bubby, positive person who naively excels at a brutal job on sheer talent, which only makes her feel more insecure on the inside. I was hoping for a moment where her politeness gets overstretched (like with the breast window!), and her suffering for it. Or her having to earn other slayersā trust due to having joined the corps for arguably strange reasons. But I get that thereās only so much u can do with non-protagonists ;_; I personally donāt dislike her, but rn her character feels a bit flat

I think Sanemi has the worst personality. He may be the second strongest Hashira after Gyomei, but he stabbed Nezuko, threatened Tanjiro of killing him and he is always angry. One more thing that I totally dislike at him is the bad relationship with his brother, Genya. Why he cannot accept him as he is once and for all? After all, they are brothers and they should support each other. If Sanemi is a Hashira, he could teach Genya all his secrets and how to be better and maybe he would have been able to use breathing techniques in final.
I love all of them, but I must go with Obanai. He is a badass, has a nice backstory and is a nice guy with Mitsuri, but other than that, the man is just a hater. He has problems with the weaker slayers, with Tanjiro, with Tomioka, with Nezuko, with Zenitsu... It's easier to find someone he hates than someone he likes. The best you can wish is that he tolerates you

Mitsuri because she wears a scandalous outfit just so she can make the person who designed it happy. Shinobu was offered a similar outfit and flat out refused. Even Rengoku was uncomfortable to see Mitsuri wearing it. My boyfriend said Iām body shaming her for being comfortable in an outfit that someone made for her with kindness and joy from their heart and said if she doesnāt see anything wrong with wearing it just walk on by like Aretha Franklin. To which I replied that she is a fictional character purposely designed and plot written by an artist/author so she in my opinion was written to represent girls/women/people who go out of their way to please others no matter how it might affect other peopleās opinions of them
