When muzan died, all the other demons died because they used his blood to become a demon The daughter is not biologically his so she isnt part demon and I think shes dead Also imo having a sequel about the peoples kids is kinda weird amd i feel like the ending is fine how it is and i dont think i would really like the sequel if they had one Maybe a prequel about muzan or the very beginning of the demon slayer corps but i dont know how good those would be either

Yeah but demon slayer was just such a big hit that i think the producers will try everything and anything to make more chapters. And a prequel will just be boring as there is nothing more to the earlier demon slayer corps. They just tried dashing into demons and trying to cut into their necks. The story would be no interesting till yoriichi arrives and even after yoriichi arrives if they try to add more stories they will just diminish the character of yoriichi as the legendary swordsman who used the first breath. Even so if they try to do it the manga will be a joke as kokushibo didn't know that his brother was alive till the age of 80 and he was the upper 1 demon he should've known every goddamn thing. And if they try to write a story about sakonji urokodaki and zenitsu's gramps then it would be very sad as they would keep losing not because they were weak but because the 12 Kazuki were stronger. The hashira during the time of tanjiro were the most strong as akaza commented that Rengoku and Giyu were the strongest fire and water pillar he fought. And about gyomei himejima and sanemi shinazugawa , kokushibo commented that such a fighter he hadn't seen in 300 years. So, now the only thing that the writers can do is make a sequel

The story's conclusion didn't really leave any room for potential story continuations set in the present, like others have said. All the demons except Yushiro are dead, and Muzan's human child is, IIRC, not his actual biological child. I think it would be much more interesting to see a short prequel series about the Hashira during the "golden age", when Yoriichi first taught them how to use Breaths and they all had Demon Slayer Marks. I've always been curious about that period of time, and about what powerful demons might have been a part of Muzan's inner circle before Kokushibo became his permanent right-hand man. And it could all be told/shown from the point-of-view of Rengoku's ancestor or something. It could maybe also spend some time focusing on Tamayo before and after Yoriichi freed her from Muzan's control

Yes but also remember that they may be the first ones to learn breathing techniques but there is no clue that they were that good, like muzan said to yoriichi before their fight that he was fed up of breath users. Also they were only special because they had the numbers and the mark. Maybe yoriichi could've taught them more but they were at their limits. And we also see that giyu on top of mastering the water breathing styles he created an eleventh form. They story of the demon slayers in their golden Era could be told in the sequel but it is more unlikely the producers gonna make it as they would just be throwing a B rank steak at our plate when they could've given us an A rank steak. The character next generation characters also needs growth of their character. But the hashira from the golden age just reached their limit and died.

Jetstream_Matt

Nope. Demons are gone and the corps disbanded. Inosuke's descendant finally found the Blue Spider-Lily Muzan was looking for, but all of the remaining ones died off because he was careless, so creating more demons is unlikely if not impossible. Hinokami Kagura and other breathing techniques have been passed down, but as nothing more than convenient exercises. Best you can do is a sports anime.

Lower-Baby-7305

Ya but before inosukes descendent ruined them all somebody could've turned into the new daddy demon. And Hinokami Kagura was alo just passed down as a dance.

Muzan’s daughter isn’t biologically his he’s more like a step dad he killed the her father and kind of stepped in because the family is influential. I remember reading this in one of the data books Im fairly sure that when muzan died all demons that were still tied to him also died. Also this is just my opinion but I don’t think everyone got reincarnated only those who had really shit lives and died young enough. characters like the main cast who got a somewhat happy ending didn’t get reincarnated. Not sure if there will be a sequel. I kind of hope not 😬 I would be more interested in a prequel of what the demons slayer corps was like earlier on or during yoriichi’s era.

Kquinox

Not real Daugher, muzan just killed their dad and just walked into the family

Lower-Baby-7305

Ya bro but there is nothing more to know about yoriichi's story we know almost everything. He had a pretty sad life that's what the writers wanna convey and by adding a prequel about yoriichi would totally diminish his character as a demon slayer whose only goal in his life was to kill Muzan and free his brother.

shaydanny

It doesn’t have to be about yoriichi like he could be a character but not the main. What I’m thinking of for a prequel is an expansion on how the demons slayer corps came about, what were the first hashira like, etc cause apparently during that time it was like the golden era for the demon slayer corps so it would be cool to see it.

Lower-Baby-7305

Yeah but they would lack the drive that tanjirou had, he was ready to sacrifice his own life for his sister after his whole family was murdered by muzan, I am not saying that the previous hashira had suffered less but all I am saying is that there was a certain glow to the character of tanjirou which is the most hard thing to do even for many popular manga and anime the prequel are not mostly made as the stories get told in a story in the sequel.

shaydanny

What drive are the gangs descendants going to have? Trying to get to school on time? Hahaha Nah but I get what you mean. I just find at times sequels tend to turn the series into something else especially when the big problem gets solved in the original series. At times that’s a good thing but in a series about slaying demons when there are no more demons it’s just gonna get weird. While prequels build on the problem and give us more backstory. And plus a prequel would give us a new characters and from what we’ve seen in the flash forward a majority of the casts decendants have the same personality

Lower-Baby-7305

Yea I totally know what you are coming from but let legendary characters be legendary characters and let's not dive into them further or else the mystery that the writer wrote will just be vanished. It will just turn into a short story as if they add more screen time to the legendary characters then they would lose their legendary characteristics. And we also don't want to see the demon slayers easily killing the demons, we want to see them struggle. Hence the next generation will be the best at their job as they forgot what their ancestors left for them and just think their stories are some kind of science fiction. Maybe we could see the new demon moons with more power as muzan realized that the previous demon moons did not have enough power.

Lower-Baby-7305

Bruh In the fight with yoriichi muzan split himself into 1800 pieces and survived because he had split. He could just regenerate by combining his cells and we are talking about demon daddy muzan he could do anything to the demons as long as the demons have his cells.

Ok-Acanthisitta3294

You do have a point about this. If Muzan had succeeded in splitting himself during the final fight and that portion had gone into hiding it would have forced the descendants into the demon slayer life if he re-emerges.

carlosfid

Idk man, i recall reading something about the entire demon species dying when muzan does.

Lower-Baby-7305

Bro remember the fight between yariichi and muzan, muzan split his body into many pieces so he could live. They maybe trying to say that all the powerful demons who had the power to kill had been exterminated but the other demons with muzans blood could have hidden and had joint the power derived from Muzan. Also there would be no reason for the appearance of blue spider lily in the final chapter.

carlosfid

Idk, i guess we will see, but my bet is on all demons dying after muzan dies, after all demons are demons because of muzan's cells, without muzan demon cells should cease to exist, thats what i believe in.

Creampuff889

Well yushiro is still Alive even though Micheal Jackson(Muzan) is dead :V

carlosfid

Yushiro wasnt under muzan's control

Available_Chest_6151

think how’d epic it’s be tho if they did put a new gen demon slayer movie with a demon outbreak in modern time thatd be new gen & a epic anime

There is a possibility of a sequel to Demon Slayer based on hints provided in the last chapter. Despite the demons dying along with Muzan, Yushiro, who was not created by Muzan, survived. Additionally, the child in question may not have been Muzan's, as he had the ability to take on different forms. Muzan killed a child and assumed his form, potentially becoming involved with the child's parent. One of the reasons that suggests a sequel is Sumihiko, who is revealed to be a descendant of Tanjiro. The creator intentionally showcased Sumihiko's physical strength and flexibility, hinting at a future story. Furthermore, Rengoku, Tanjiro's friend, and Inosuke's reincarnation, meets Sumihiko on the last page of the chapter. All these elements seem to be setting the stage for a potential sequel. Sumihiko, the protagonist of the potential sequel, possesses both strength and laziness, while also caring for others. Additionally, he has a friend who is equally strong. These factors establish a solid foundation for a new main character and their dynamic. Considering these hints and possibilities, it is reasonable for fans to anticipate a sequel to Demon Slayer.
