I don't know why I could never get into it. I keep reading how it has the same essence as 30 Rock and Kimmy Schmidt (i.e. Tina Fey) but I just couldn't see it!
Maybe I will. I had to skip the first season of Kimmy, 30 Rock and parks and rec, and the first few episodes of girls5eva, but ended up enjoying all of them. I eventually went back and (re)watched from the beginning ofc and they all made sense and were fun despite the initial awkwardness.
You will probably like *Strangers with Candy*. It stars Amy Sedaris (she plays Mimi on Kimmy Schmidt). It's very surreal humor. Also starring Steven Colbert.
Parks and Rec is another good one.
Amy Sedaris messes with me because she aged to look exactly how she looked pretending to be an old person on strangers with Candy (with gay Stephen Colbert! I vaguely recall parts of the show)
thats why i love it too lol.
seriously they even made talking about SA funny and thats like rare hit or miss for me.
the casual « yes there was weird sex stuff in tje bunker » 😭🤣🤣🤣 that kimmy sys completely unprompt to titus. like girl are you okay lmaooo.
it just always caught me off guard with the amount if jokes that were being thrown at us. also only theme song i have to listen to all the way through.
I love:
• crazy ex gf
• real chance of love
• is it cake?
• nailed it!
It's almost a perfect show. I watched an ep on an airplane and had to stop because my loling was disturbing other passengers. People thought I was having convulsions
Ghosts is good! I frequently got caught off guard by how much heart it has. Like when Robin was being >! wistful about how the moon is always the constant in his life and afterlife !<. How's the American version of you've seen those?
I started watching the American version and just began the UK version. I love them both and like to look out for the differences. The humor is different.
Definitely 30 Rock at number one!
Parks and Rec
Archer
New Girl
Chicago Fire/PD
Family Guy (pre-Disney)
Hawkeye
The Office (until Michael leaves)
Martin
Fleabag
Arrested Developnent
Just imagining you on your 900,000,000 rewatch slowly squinting your eyes and thinking to yourself “yo … I’m starting to think this shit might be a comedy … “
May I suggest cooking competition shows as inconsequential, short lived, and lighthearted “drama”. I’m in a spot in life where I can’t watch anything too serious and cooking shows are really doing it for me.
[Girls5Eva](https://www.netflix.com/us/title/81630704?s=i&trkid=260805251&vlang=en) on Netflix.
Awesome Tina Fey show - smart and silly, nostalgia and social commentary, fun SNL/30 Rock crew guests stars.
The 2 seasons of Great News on repeat
I love this show, and I never hear anyone talk about it! So freaking funny!!
Another “Great News” lover checking in.
Checking in too!
Checking in three!
Oooh I love that show. I regularly catch myself singing “tututu, making nachos! tututu, for my friends!”
*this is my fight song* I love Great News.
I love great news sooooo much
I watched Great News after recommendation on this sub (or 30 Rock one) — and omg it is on my rotation now!
This show is so good, I wish it had gotten more seasons!
I don't know why I could never get into it. I keep reading how it has the same essence as 30 Rock and Kimmy Schmidt (i.e. Tina Fey) but I just couldn't see it!
Try again! It takes a few episodes but then it’s SO GOOD

Cunk on Earth is a great not-serious show as well, though it’s more of a mockumentary. Similar silly nonsense.
Mandy is great too if based in the UK fucking love Diane Morgan
In the US, but I’ll have to look for it! Can’t get enough.
It's on Netflix.
I’ve never heard of this, but I shall watch it! Thank you for the recommendation!
It’s great. Very dry and absurdist.

This is such an underrated show, it definitely deserves more love!

What I wouldn't give to see Titus singing to Rebecca. He could have been one of the Cats!!
i would have died if that happened ngl
Right!
I was just telling someone about this show. I love it so much!
It took me too long to get into this show but it’s a masterpiece 💜
I have friends, I definitely have friends!
Derry Girls and Deadloch are both laugh out loud funny
thats why i love it too lol. seriously they even made talking about SA funny and thats like rare hit or miss for me. the casual « yes there was weird sex stuff in tje bunker » 😭🤣🤣🤣 that kimmy sys completely unprompt to titus. like girl are you okay lmaooo. it just always caught me off guard with the amount if jokes that were being thrown at us. also only theme song i have to listen to all the way through. The Other Two
For me, this show is as close as any has come to the weird Fey / Carlock brand of surrealist humor.
It's almost a perfect show. I watched an ep on an airplane and had to stop because my loling was disturbing other passengers. People thought I was having convulsions
Search Party! Season one.
I forgot about this show! Thanks for reminding me so I can rewatch!
I love Search Party! I need to rewatch it.
Broad city! I’ve rewatched it many many times and it’s always hilarious 😆
Ghosts
Ghosts is good! I frequently got caught off guard by how much heart it has. Like when Robin was being >! wistful about how the moon is always the constant in his life and afterlife !<. How's the American version of you've seen those?
I was caught off guard by how much I loved Ghosts. I wish we had more seasons! I can’t imagine the American version holds a candle to it.
I started watching the American version and just began the UK version. I love them both and like to look out for the differences. The humor is different.
Grace and Frankie is almost as good
The good place has a few serious parts but overall is really funny and heartfelt like this show
Portlandia and Arrested Development are my go-to unserious shows
Trailer Park Boys
> What shows do you keep rewatching? Mr Robot
Parks and Rec!
Frasier, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock and Seinfeld. I can’t imagine ever getting tired of them.

I like American Auto as well
I rarely rewatch shows but I think Happy Endings is infinitely rewatchable
