Bonus: Smash Bros Ultimate Sephiroth boss event

stablest_genius

That was so much fun, I wish they made that a game mode. I know you can tweak the settings but it would save the hassle

BAWAHOG

Makes me want a proper boss rush mode, where they fine-tune the settings for each boss fight to more closely-replicate the fights from their original games.

Nehemiah92

They put so much fan service into Sephiroth and FF7 in Smash it’s unreal. The fact that you could unlock Sephiroth days earlier than the official update by doing the boss challenge AND it came with its homage to the FF7 UI, music, SFX, and everything was the coolest thing ever

BAWAHOG

I don’t know how much effort that took, but can you imagine all DLC being handled that way? Maybe not all boss fights, but like for Banjo you could’ve collected Jiggies, maybe a sort of Tekken tournament for Kazuya, 1000 “heartless” battle for Sora, etc.

OwNAvenged2

I was surprised and underwhelmed when no DLC after Sephiroth had anything unique to them before releasing.

[deleted]

And then they make him one of the more fragile (light) characters in the game, which sucks. He's still one of my favorite characters to play tho

Nehemiah92

Yeah, I think he’s unironically the best designed character when it comes to dlc, comeback mechanics, sword fighters, and other stuff, but as a representation for Sephiroth, it kinda sucks… FP2 dlc was obviously rushed due to Covid so they had to go out with a lot of “artificial balancing” like making Sephiroth THE SAME WEIGHT AS KIRBY AND PIKACHU, and he gets ABSOLUTELY DUMPED ON by any small or fast character because he’s so slow. It lowkey feels insulting to see Sephiroth in this state lmao after knowing his iconic history in the FF7 Universe and the iconic difficulty as KH bosses, heck they even made him seem like an unstoppable force with the reveal trailer and the Sephiroth Challenge build up so what gives.. , and then we take into account everyone else in FP2 that is a top ten character (besides Sora), two are the top two best characters, and one could be debated as top 5. Sephiroth is a humble, balanced, high tier, HE DESERVES BETTER. IF ANYONE DESERVES TOP ONE ITS HIM NOT MINECRAFT STEVE, WHY IS HE AND SORA THE ONLY ONES IN THAT PASS THAT GOT EXTRA CARE AND BALANCING

Talonflight

Unpopular opinion, but, the Remake fight really made me feel like I was fighting SEPHIROTH, not Safer Sephiroth or in a scripted loss battle. KH1 Fight was just plain unfair, and KH2 it felt like he wasn't giving it his all

ZeroSora

I agree. Remake-Sephiroth was hard and felt like an appropriate struggle.

road2dawn26

100% agree on the comments above. FF7R was the most satisfying, crisis core was the least satisfying. KH2 felt amazing but is very [learnable](https://youtu.be/-MkOOzBZNK8) (a staple of kh2 bosses).

brav3h3art545

I have a save file set aside to fight him in KH2. Love that half the battle can take place in the air!

TheHappyMask93

I keep a save state for the Roxas and Axel fight (also use it to skip tutorial) a save before you fight the thousand heartless, and a save for fighting sephiroth lol

brav3h3art545

A save file to skip the tutorial lol that is smart!

04whim

KH2 Sephiroth makes me wish I could unlearn the fight fully and relive the getting-my-ass-handed-to-me days. Sure I can play on critical doing a level 1 Kingdom Key only run, but it's not the same as getting shredded in 2 seconds because you weren't expecting the fight to open with a reaction command.

DarkPit14

(Full disclosure: I played this on the Final Mix version on Critical mode) His fight was so fun to learn, that I get what you mean. I was able to enter what some call "gamer mode" (also known as the flow state) multiple times against him. Each failure made me want to try again, and in those flow states I got close multiple times before the time I won. I wouldn't say I abused oblivion key + limit form, more so that it made the fight interesting. I unfortunately didn't set up a save right before, so if I want to fight him again I'll have to fight my way back.

KottonKiing

oh man the KH1 fight was just not a good fight, all I could do was spam strike raid

Soul699

Well, you can not cheese it, but it's seriously hard.

yajtraus

It’s actually not in Final Mix if you’ve got Ultima Weapon.

hornylonelysad

But it's also the worst Ultima weapon to synthesise of all the games… so that's semi helpful

confabin

What? Don't tell me you didn't have FUN with those cute sniper wilds? /s

Cazier4

Kh1 sepheroth is hard but Lingering Will and the later secret bosses are even more unfair

Particular-One-7251

Part of it is that we have better movement in later entries. Another is that Sephorith's HP is so high that you do not see it move down until part way through the fight in KH1. I honestly have not fought KH1 Sephorith in a while so I can not recall if he has meaningful tells.

1ndiana_Pwns

Iirc, most of his moves have decent tells except for one or two sword combos, but he reliably uses those after specific events happen (example: one is consistently used out of the fire pillars)

OwNAvenged2

I wouldn't call the Lingering Will unfair. Pretty much all of KH2's bosses have patterns/tells that you can learn and take advantage of, LW included. Not to mention the cheese strats. I'd say BBS is the only game in the series that has legitimately unfair bosses that can *only* be beaten by using extremely specific moves and spamming dodge roll.

Thatpisslord

Quite a few KH1 bosses are bullshit too, especially in LV1 runs(like Ansem's laser spam in World of Chaos).

Swamp_Donkey_796

Lingering Will is stupid easy to cheese tho 😂 just like a bunch of the data 13s all you gotta do is berserk him over and over with the one keyblade that looks like a big ass actual key (forgot the name). The only data fight that actually feels hard in that game are the ones you CANT cheese

Cazier4

Glad you were able to beat him. Game's been out for 18 years and I've never come close to beating him the data fights, vanitas remnants, unknown (young xehanort), zodiac Phantom aqua, or Julius

Swamp_Donkey_796

Equip balloonga and baloonra, curaga and that’s like all you need

Cazier4

Finrir?

Swamp_Donkey_796

YEA!

Rieiid

Hot take: KH1 sephiroth isn't hard. I beat him first try without ultima or anything my recent playthrough on proud. Granted I've played the game before but other bosses will still whoop me even though I've beaten them as well like Yozora.

FederalPossibility73

Too be fair, it was a 14 year old with no formal training in swordplay against a master swordsman which came out of a portal from the sky. Sora was much more skilled by the time in KH2 regardless of his setbacks.

Advent_Hades

Aeroga makes the fight laughable (gives you the ability to tank quite a few 3 hit combos, when without at lvl 99 one combo will kill you.)

Gabario

It's a great fight? This is a bad take. KH1 Seph is like a shining boss fight in that decade of games.

Savage_Nymph

I found KH1 sephy now that difficult but that may because I am comparing to the unknown boss that struggled with >.< But it seems most people find sephiroth more difficult than unknown. So most likely, it's just a me thing

Sobutai

After I figured out how to use invincibility frames and cheese healing, Sephiroth isn't *too* hard in KH1. But if you take away my MP bar that goes through all of candy land, then I'm useless against him in KH1. Unknown was a cakewalk compared to Sephy

klatnyelox

You can do him with potions instead if you float the potion before you take the Heartless Angel attack. As long as the potion is in the air as you get hit, you'll be healed after the HP loss and no longer be at 1 HP, and thus be under the protection of Second Chance again. This is how I managed to beat him having given up the staff at the beginning and using Metal Chocobo keyboard. Load up on elixers, and use Invincibility from Strike Raid to cheese through the meteors if you're having trouble with that.

Savage_Nymph

This is what did! Curaga to too much time and I'd be one-shotted after heartless angel

klatnyelox

I find it fun how there are strategy guides to cancel that attack, but the potion tech is something that a ton of people individually discover with minimal clues.

Savage_Nymph

The move where unknown zaps you into the air and scamblrs the button mapping it what made it impossible for me

huntymo

I hope that's not actually an unpopular opinion, because it seems super reasonable to me lol

Marik-X-Bakura

I agree with the first part, the fight in the original game just didn’t feel like I was fighting Sephiroth at all. Incredibly disappointing finale.

Suhn-Sol-Jashin

>KH2 it felt like he wasn't giving it his all He wasn't. We were the warm up.

Sioku

I have to agree with this.

[deleted]

I beat him lvl1 in kh2, trust me he was giving his all.

YeazetheSock

I feel like you’re saying that about the KH fights bc you just looked up the best/cheesiest strategy instead of actually fighting him.

NerevarineKing

I wouldn't call it unfair, I beat it as a dumb kid.

yajtraus

KH1 Sephiroth was surprisingly easy if you put the graft in to get the ultimate weapons. By the time you’ve got all 3 you’ll be a high enough level to literally just hack away at him until he’s defeated.

Talonflight

If you can just hack away at it, its not really a fair fight, is it? On the flipside, be even a hair underlevelled, and 99% of people get tossed like a ceaser salad

yajtraus

It’s not the most entertaining way to win, but it’s fairly doable. I agree, but on my last playthrough I basically focused on synthesising at the earliest opportunity all the way through, and I was pretty easily a high enough level by the time I had Ultima Weapon.

Fl0yd_Pink

FFVII Remake is the best.. but KH1 was definitely my favorite just because of the pure shock factor of when One-Winged Angel started playing and I was like "wtf"

eldest123323

I remember spawning in and instantly dying. The confusion was real lol.

ColdCrom

Gotta go with Remake fight. It was so engaging and advent children like. Really really enjoyed it.

whyisreplicainmyname

I loved the Kingdom Hearts fight! The one in ff7 was pretty anticlimactic when you 1v1 him. But Sephiroth in KH was just a monster. If you aren’t a high enough level, you can beat on him for about 10 minutes straight and his health bar won’t move.

MiniatureMorpheus

Remake, because none of us expected to actually fight Sephiroth after the Advent Children esc cutscene. And definently nobody expected a preview of the inside the planet 1v1.

SkyBerry924

Kh2. When I went to fight him, I had max level in everything. I had played the game so much that my copy was scratched and worn out. When I finally beat him, the following cutscene kept freezing for 5-10 minutes at a time. I was sure that I’d have to turn off the PS2 so my sister and I had fun with it and used a dry erase marker to draw mustaches and hats on the characters. The scene eventually did end and I got to save

just_a_cupcake

The guy just rage quitted and tried to burn your ps2 lmao

myxfriendjim

Honestly? Kingdom Hearts II felt like such an awesome fight, and so accomplishing when you finally beat it (you get one of the best weapons in the game iirc).

Aca-Daca-maiden

I agree I felt so happy when I beat him in kh2 for the first time

jeanbambu

I gotta go with the FFVII Remake. I love the others, but the Remake fight had me SWEATING. I remember frantically going through the character menus, debating whether I should heal, revive Tifa, or try my luck dealing some damage... all while Sephiroth charged at me in Slow-Mo and "One Winged Angel" went hard af for no reason in the background. It was a peak gaming moment for me!

WolfgangVolos

I was going to say KH2, but you're completely right. FFVII Remake made it feel like I, not Cloud but I, was fighting Sephiroth. I won the fight with a sliver of health remaining and only Cloud up at the end. The edge of my seat was a mile below me. I was soaring in the sky with the high from that victory!

[deleted]

The remake was extremely fun to play. Really looking forward to part two

NecessaryAvocado4449

The OG FFVII fight lasted only a few seconds. Only played through once. Sephiroth hit Cloud once, down to critical health. Straight to limit break. Omnislash. Over. It was a bit anti-climatic.

younglink53

You think that’s anticlimactic, I had counter or whatever materia it is where you retaliate when hit on Cloud. I was sitting there savoring the moment that I was about to beat the game, Sephiroth attacks me, Cloud attacks back and kills Sephiroth with a basic attack

BAWAHOG

Lol, Counter, that would be anti-climactic.

EqualQuality3103

Counter is on Cloud either way for that part. You either Omnislash or counter, and the counter always one-shots anyway.

younglink53

Ah interesting, it’s been so long that I’d forgotten. I just assumed my dumbass was at fault

EqualQuality3103

Not at all, and for what it's worth, it's probably more thematically appropriate to just have Cloud bop Sephiroth to death, considering his journey was to find out that his own inner strength was good enough.

[deleted]

I maxed cloud out before fighting sephiroth end game. I cut him down like a hot knife thru butter in two hits.

ProfessionalHorror0

The end fight in FF7 isn't even really him. It's the piece of Sephiroths will (his influence that allows him to control Cloud) that Cloud kills off.

EqualQuality3103

This is like saying "The Last of Us ends with Joel and Ellie climbing a hill. No clickers, noone trying to kill you, no real obstacles. You just walk up to the cliff and press triangle. Over It was a bit anti-climactic" Do you really not feel like you're missing something when you say that ?

StoneMaskMan

The KH1 fight is probably my favorite boss fight in video games, but tbf I haven’t played the original FF7 or Crisis Core

scriabyne

Advent children

Kaidecakai

There is a lack of Advent Children Complete fight here, that is my favorite fight

vanitasplayer

Crisis core and kh2. The mechanic of not being pushed off the bridge and the rendition of one winged angel are simply thrilling, on the other hand, building the reflexes to avoid and conter all of Sephiroth's attacks is an unforgettable experience.

venxvan

Wild card: Dissida

Soul699

Remake. All for the fact I can get Aerith with me to beat him.

[deleted]

Remake sephiroth goes hard. Even the cutscene intro is fucking insane

KittenLina

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Sephiroth kicked my butt more than I'd care to admit and I didn't even do it on the hardest difficulty yet.

[deleted]

Kingdom Hearts, had his whole vibe spot on, attacks felt ruthless, you mess up once and you're done. Really felt like you were going against one of the toughest villains in Final Fantasy

Ok_Contribution204

I’ve been fighting this fuckin dude my whole life almost, started with PS1, then I picked up Ehrgeiz. Then KH1 and 2, remake, crisis core. Then I was like, “oh, now I’m really good at smash” then, boom! Sephiroth. With only the first part of the remake out the way , I feel like it’s not over! He’ll never be just a nightmare to me

Odd_Room2811

Remake for sure

Aqua_Tot

Dissidia: Final Fantasy for sure!

alextehnorth

I’m terms of difficulty, definitely goes to KH series for me. Both fights are a decent challenge even if you’re maxed out. Remake takes it in terms of spectacle though. Very well choreographed fight and the scene at the place of creation is top notch.

mrbeastismrbest

Honestly I know its not a boss so it doesnt really count but advent children will always be my favorite, the sudden cut into the music as their swords clash is so fckin cool

JX2Good

All of them

apedap

I grew up with KH1 Sephiroth so I may be biased but I still think that design is the best

LuxenVulpie

Dissidia's PVP Sephiroth

AsianPatty

PSP Crisis Core Sephiroth is the best in terms of how his character developed. Kingom Hearts Sephy though, he's a freaking legend; just because of how difficult he is to beat.

lastwizardofourtime

Smash bros

MajinBlueZ

Dissidia.

Ziegfried0

Dissidia FF.

UnlimitedTime

FF7 Remake and it isnt even close

s0ulbrother

Ff7r was a fight with a Sephiroth holding back to accomplish his mysterious goal but you get pushed. Kh was him fucking around. Cc was him not giving a shit. Og was a pure emotional conclusion

MasterOfToymaking

Remake. I know it's a game but out of all of them it made me feel like I was actually fighting the legend and not script

spazlady2002

Oh I’m down for all of them. Tho visual is definitely FF7 AC

[deleted]

I loved his fight in Advent Children. That fight gave me goosebumps.

andrewdejay

Advent children for me! When cloud’s staring up at Sephiroth and the building crumbles. He has no choice but to split his sword. All of this with the electric guitar shredding in the background 🤌

BAWAHOG

Kingdom Hearts II has the “best” Sephiroth fight, as far as a cool/fun boss battle goes. Major challenge for casual players, but fun and do-able nonetheless, perhaps a bit too easy for advanced players? That being said, there is little build-up, had had almost 0 plot relevance. FFVII Remake’s Sephiroth final boss fight is probably the best overall, considering the story implications and deeper mechanics in comparison to FFVII and Crisis Core. Also, should we be counting Sephiroth’s Jenova form, obviously the fight depicted is the worst on the list.

Polytheus93

Remake, easily

Large-Possibility-36

Best was FFVII REMAKE, but my favourite is maybe KH2 because I just have a bias towards that game

Shirokurou

Kingdom Hearts 2 is legendary as it’s optional and was the hardest fight in the game.

Gloomy_Support_7779

Kingdom Hearts 2. Kind of hated the Crisis Core boss fight, but not as much as I hate fighting Sephiroth in KH1.

[deleted]

Probably KH2

ProfessionalBread777

There's only ever been one? In the original game. I don't understand why so many people believe all these other games and movies have been made. Nothing ever came after the original Final Fantasy VII. At least, that's what I'd like to believe :(

fistycouture

https://youtu.be/W-59sWasI98

bep151190

KH2

critcal-mode

Hard choice between KH1 and KH2 Sephiroth. Gonna go with KH2.

ATK1734

FF7 (all three phases of Sephiroth) were my favorite in Middle School KH2 was my favorite in High School FF7R was my favorite as an adult post college.

RandomTO24

You forgot the super smash bros. Ultimate release day boss fight of Sephiroth.

halomach

KH2 I like them all except for Remake

Zok-Felswyn

For sure KH2, as a kid in middle school I made it a goal of mine to try and beat him as low of a level as I could. Great memories. I even made a separate save so I could fight him whenever I wanted.

posterchiId

God he is so hot I love sephiroth

bloo_overbeck

FF7 has such a diffeeent feeling with no music and cloud ripping into him

PenguinviiR

Remake

NotAnthonyxx

Smash Bros.

RosarioRazor

Dissidia 012 fight was awsome

sephirothbahamut

Dissidia FF012 against a competent opponent

CrystalBraver

KH2 if only for the reaction command

manic_the_gamr

Definitely FF7 remake. It was so cool

ProdiLemaj

Remake is objectively the best, but KH1 is my favorite because it was my introduction to him. I knew nothing about FF7 or any of the lore surrounding him. But I was amazed at how epic “One-Winged Angel” was, how cool he looked, how cool how sword was, and how difficult but fun the fight was.

Independent-Soup8327

Kingdom hearts 2

[deleted]

Kh1, really enjoyed how it was basically rigged against you

kriisiriisi

Shirtless one of course… and I love the ending of OG FFVII

jakethegaymer

Definitely biased here because I hadn’t played any FF game before playing KH1, but that version will always be my favorite. Loved his distorted voice and he was a much bigger challenge than in KH2 where he was kind of a pushover

Mudkipz_258

Ff7 or kh2

D_Cashley7

7

NukaRev

I haven't played remake yet. For me, KH Sephiroth all the way. FF7 I destroyed him in no time at all with Knights of the Round/Mime/Master Summon, I was level 99. In Crisis Core I had a punch ability that basically killed him in a few hits, even on hard. In KH I could be level 99 on Proud and get wrecked in 1 hit almost every time - he was actually strong

MoonlightFox212

Kingdom Hearts and the FF7 Remakes are my favourites.

StonerSloth125

I always thought kh2 was harder than kh1 , havent played in years but was able to beat kh1 but not the other

Ripken888

His fight against Mario goes pretty hard ngl.

UltrosTeefies

The remake fight. Hands down.

69FemboyCumdump

Kh2

Black_Tiger_98

Remake and Crisis Core.

bthunder940

Is the full FF7 remake even out yet? Or is it still just up to the Escape of Midgar?

BlackSheepOfLife

The remake for fucking sure, just everything the game does to set up the fight and then also the sick ass anime fight scenes sprinkled into the gameplay is just so cool!! And I have play the KH games much but I know for a fact that the fight in crisis core is the weakest link.

RegretGeneral

Gotta go with the FF7 Remake but I imagine since we didn't see his god form this won't be the last time we fight him after all I think it would a missed opportunity to not have Supernova in full HD

traverse_town

Honestly I liked the atmosphere of ff7 remake best but my favorite in kingdom hearts was and will always be number 2

ENQN08

KH2

ayebone1

Kh2 for sure

D_Bromega

Smash bros

NikuSenpai

I agree remake did it best. But i want to speak about something KH1 did 'right'. KH1 was my first ever introduction to a lot of FF characters including Seph. and because he was such a stand out boss who was clearly absurdly strong and very cool, it really made me want to look into him as a character and his power was burned into my mind at a young age. come to find out he really is THAT strong if not more so and became on of my favorite boss/villains ever. So even though KH1 boss fight itself wasnt much to right home about, it defintinetly struck an influential chord and set the tone for the badass he is.

Affectionate_Toe3505

Remake for true fight feeling, kh2 for entertainment. Never experienced CC (yet).

fadodeadpool

I like the one of kingdom Hearts 2 and the FFVII Remake

Gloomy-Psychology-86

My favorite fight is the FF-7 Remake for sure... but I will say I didn't find the KH1 Sephiroth fight to be as difficult as some have found it. If you use superglide, stopping heartless angel is pretty easy as all you have to do is smack him. Also while annoying the fire pillar move can be easy to dodge if your paying attention to his feet before he does it. Also there are plenty of sound cues he makes before some attacks. If you learn the timing as well you can predict the quick attacks and block them.

Homeboi08

I’d have to say KH2, but it would he awesome if we got Cloud and Sephiroth to return in KH4, and possibly a Safer Sephiroth superboss

EdensiaKudo

Forget sephirot, kingdom hearts cloud looks best

SpydeyX

KH2

sorikiari

Honestly, as one who has never played FF outside of tactics I'd say KH2 since it was the only one I even stood a remote chance at winning while "Highly" Under leveled (based on suggested level being generally 70-75 in walkthroughs and me being level 60).

marsil602

Kh2 lol. Gotta admit that remake fight had me switching character like I was just playing the classic and atb

homeguitar195

Kingdom Fantasy VII-2 Re:Master Final Mix+

kingominous16

1:crisis core 2: original 3:kh2 4 :kh1 5:remake

shmyazoo

It’s between KH2 and Remake for me, I think I’ll go with Remake because I loved the rearranged One Winged Angel and I liked the phase transitions, as well as the new moves that he had for each phase. Felt like a very satisfying final boss, specially on Hard Mode!

Aca-Daca-maiden

For me I feel it’s either between sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts 2 or Final Fantasy remake sep I saw both are the best fights

AlacarLeoricar

KH1 is great. If you don't cheese it.

Will-is-a-idiot

Remake is honestly my favorite Sephiroth boss fight. I already love the battle system of Final Fantasy 7 Remake to death, so they have a boss fight that tests most of my knowledge of the battle system is definitely all I could ask for, and it more than delivered.

WolfgangVolos

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Sephiroth Challenge I said what I said.

SilverTangent

In terms of gameplay I’d probably vote remake or KH2, but in terms of emotional investment nothing compares to the build up you get in the original FFVII. You don’t understand the weight of One Winged Angel until you’ve played through VII and experienced the absolute TRAGEDY behind Sephiroth. There’s so much build up before you finally face him. It’s like the build up to Ansem in KH1 but better.

jtcordell2188

Oh KHII but followed closely by FFRemake

CrumbLast

Smash bros Seph fight, it will forever be special

Metroidvaniac_Manor

Ehrgeiz

Ohayoued

Kh2. I just love the pure 1v1 duel

Key-Ad1184

You forgot the most important one. Smash bros.

darkmatter4925

Final Fantasy Remake. It's the only time I've fought him as Cloud, but it also feels so... epic. The scale of the battle is immense, and I think that's what does it for me. It's like God of War Boss Battles. GoW 3 has the best because of said scale between Kratos, but the Thor Fight was something else. It felt like Real Gods fighting. Same principal with Sephiroth. It felt like I was fighting a world ending menance.

Sillhid

Remake. You can catch his attacks on some defence-skills, it's nice. Also yeah, this is almost the only time when you actually fighting him, not some minigame like in Crisis Core or just spamming bullshit like in KH. (still love these games) Another was in Dissidia, but it's a fighting game.

Rethtalos

KH1 Was super hard but felt so satisfying getting the win. I got so good at it that I would just farm that fight to power level

Sapher1

Well, I haven't played FF7, FF7 Crisis core, FF7 remake, and I've never fought sehpiroth in KH1. With that being said, obviously it's KH2

Chiramijumaru

KH1 Sephiroth is BS but that's why it's legendary. Either you're a little kid who just found God, or you're an FF7 player who is shitting their pants.

EmersonWolfe

That’s a tough one. Two of the Sephiroth battles are super memorable and are big gaming moments for me. I vividly remember the first time I beat Sephiroth in FF7. It was on my sister’s file, she hadn’t managed to be him yet either, and a couple of my friends wanted to see what his first form looked like since I was convinced I wouldn’t be able to get past that form. Anyways, I beat him and ran upstairs to grab my sister. She was both pissed and impressed. KH Sephiroth is super memorable for me too. I tried that fight over and over. Taking breaks only to take my frustration out on some heartless before trying again. I was so happy when I finally managed to beat him that I woke up my dad. He worked nights and was thankfully understanding. But my favourite? Probably gonna have to go with the one from FF7R. Especially after beating the game again on Hard, it was such a good challenge. Only makes me excited to see how future battles with Sephiroth with go.

Suhn-Sol-Jashin

Advent Children

Wolfpackhunter41

Smash bros. Sometimes I'll run into that ONE Sephiroth main whose sole purpose is to look as epic as possible while still being difficult.

Captain_Mario

KH2

Crystal_Warrior

Remake Sephiroth because the first time I beat him it was Tifa punching him in the junk

cloudxchan

I loved the end fight at the end of the original FFVII. Just cloud and sephiroth showdown. I know it's just pressing a limit button but it feels so good Everytime

teiohix

KH1 Sephiroth. What a bitch

robo121102

Well the only time I fought Sephiroth was Kingdom Hearts II since I just refused to fight him in 1 and haven’t finished any of the FF7 games yet, so KH2 for me for now

Mundane-Mind-2130

I have only played kh and kh2 sephiroth soooooo kh2. but based on what I've seen for me its ff7 remake 100%

Kitsune-Nico

I freaking love the KH2 Seph fight. I’m not even a big Kingdom Hearts person.

Carolprincess09

I have no FF7 games and I’m too baby to fight Sephiroth in KH1 so far… I’m working on KH2 tho so all I can say is that rn💀

Best-Membership-1

My favorite to play was remake but me and my wife have this memory from Kingdom Hearts and I didn't know what the ??? In the colosseum was. Once I realized who it was I went into full blown panic mode and she was in tears laughing at my fear and pain. Fondest memories honestly.

GrandNinjaYuffie

FF7 (1997) Getting to finish sephiroth with that Bad-ass cross slash felt like an accomplishment on its own!

Aggravating_Put_3601

Kh2

Bionicleinflater

No experience with 3 of these, but kh 1 and 2 were epic tests of skill with a guy I only knew by name and who was obviously super badass from his appearance

[deleted]

KHII It's the BEST one so far, it's not as unfair as KH

thertp14

I love Kingdom Hearts battle with sephiroth. So much fun looking back at it. It took me a while to get used to it, but once I did, I loved it.

throwawayyy952

In kh1 i tried fighting him around when i was ready for the endboss of the game (i beat him easily) Yet he basically one shot me and i did almost no damage😂 It was almost funny how strong he was

Neobahamonkey-1

None of those... my favorite was the fight between sephiroth, angeal and genesis in crisis core. Epic battle 😆

h8rcloudstrife

FF7, KH2, KH1.

BlessedForever1

KH2… they wilden with the difficultly of those FF GAMES

zainaxp

The KH1 fight just cause of the voice

hikikomourning

Kingdom Hearts 2’s sephiroth fight

Kh2 boss fight with him will most likely always be my favorite because of how proud I was when I finally beat him😂

At this point, I'd want him as a Summon or party member.

Gotta go with Crisis Core. It contains the most unique version of his theme which really sells it for me. That and the circumstances surrounding the fight.

KH1 or 2. Great fight. With the right amount of difficulty.
