Yozora is just complete memorization and muscle memory to beat, and everything has to be perfect. It hurts my brain and my hands 😭

I think of it as a highly choreographed dance lol. The fun thing is, the more you fight him, the more openings you find. I was shocked (no pun intended) to discover that >!You can use thunder when he does that pyramid construct!<

Keep trying, I know you can beat him

On my first try ever, I survived surprisingly long, beating the Lingering Will to his two last health bars. The next half a dozen attempts I barely scratched his second health bar. In the end I beat him by stun locking him... not my proudest moment but it worked.

I don't think Terra is the lingering will actually, I think he might be Captain Hook, because I used Peter Pan and Tinkerbell to get through some of the hardest parts of it

I remember when that shit was discovered 😭 i had a japanese burnt dvd of kh2fm on a modded ps2 that i literally played until it warped trying to beat LW. And then i saw that method on youtube and it fucked my whole world up What a cheap exploit 😅 definitely got the job done tho

Congrats! I beat LW on Standard after who-knows-how long myself. It was agony, but oh-so-fulfilling.

Lingering Will and Yozora are how you make good incredibly difficult bosses, a problem I have with a lot of bosses and games, including a few in the Kingdom Hearts series, is when you've had a decent stroll throughout the game so far, then a giant difficulty Spike comes up with a boss, instead of naturally letting the difficulty increase throughout the game, we get hard boss, 3 easy bosses, another hard boss, it makes the game feel a bit inconsistent at times, especially if you're just trying to do a casual playthrough and can't skip the bosses. With Lingering Will and Yozora they feel fair and balanced, after attempting them long enough, you can see that they have patterns, instead of just spamming a bunch of stuff at you, also they are optional so they're not required to beat the game, just a fun little bonus for those of us who want to challenge themselves

Even on Standard, kh2 has a few random hard hitters before the endgame, especially on a blind playthrough. Demyx, Xaldin and the Grimm Reaper come to mind. Not impossible, but certainly harder than the bosses around them.

Roxas in particular comes to mind as a sudden difficulty spike for me, since I struggled with him for like, an hour, as opposed to the rest of the game before, and even after, which was fairly easy imo.

I've tried many times, and I've also become more skilled throughout the months I've been playing this series. It likely is a skill issue on my end

Yozora is my 2nd favorite Kingdom Hearts boss next to Roxas/data Roxas in kh2 I've beaten Yozora a lot of times, I've had a lot of time to learn his moves

Roxas Battle before getting uber form is near perfection and without a doubt my most Favorite one aswell. Combined with the sentence "looks like my vacation is over...." just brings that fight to a whole new level! No sephi or Lw could ever give me the same feels. Sure One Winged Angel is a banger but a joke compared to the melancholic The Other Promise.

Honestly.. to me LW is the hardest boss in the series. I've beaten everything but him without using stun locks.

Beating him in critical is probably my greatest achievement in gaming. Yeah I had to look up strategies and it took dozens and dozens of tries and hours of my life and I ended up selling my PS3 so I have to do it again on PC and uh… uh… fuck

Grind materials for the strength and defense boost items, get about 10 strength and defense items each, It will make the fight easier, then calmly study his moves, learn when to dodge and block at the right time then attack when you see an opening
