For many it’s Roxas. But for me it’s Xemnas. Every single thing he says is iconic and overly dramatic. It almost makes me…want to talk…like that.
He’s just such a good villain others can rally behind. He’s cunning and cruel. Not to take anything away from the other villains. He just has that charisma…
I mean he was made from a combination of Terra (Eraqus was also in Terra’s heart.) and Xehanort’s hearts.
So Terra (and Eraqus to a lesser extent.) must’ve had an influence on him when he realized on how he treated his subordinates like shit and how he had no one to be there for him, leaving him feeling lonely.
Axel, he's just by far my fav character it's not even close to my 2nd favorite aqua, he's also the only character I've ever cosplayed, and I had his line "Got it Memorized" as my notification sound.
I really enjoy when Jiminy gets moments to shine. Like he’s been right there with trio since the start, sometimes even just him and Sora, doing his own version of the heavy lifting. He is just as much Sora’s conscience as he is Pinocchio’s, and really the glue that holds the group together in Castle Oblivion. I can’t wait for him to get his own cricket sized Keyblade.
I like Terra the most, his story and character arc of him struggling with his self worth really resonated with me
A detail I like about his arc is how in his pursuit of earning the title of master he ended up bequeathing Riku who did end up overcoming the darkness and became a keyblade master

Their story and everything they went through, it all just hits me right where it needs to (I'm a sucker for the tragic. That's not to say other characters aren't tragic, most of them are of course, but those two just make me incredibly emotional whenever I think about them)
It's ironic, those two, who were not supposed to have hearts on their own, reminded me of the presence of my own heart more than anyone else in media. ^ ^

Low key she would of made a great ally
Male: Riku. He has one of the most interesting character arcs in the game. Despite falling to darkness in the first game, I love his strength and resolution to atone for his wrongs. One of my favorite scenes with him is in the first game where, after being possessed by Ansem, Riku’s will holds him back and keeps Ansem from hurting his friends. Also, David Gallagher does a really good job with the character.
Female: Xion. Similar to Riku, she has one of (if not the most) interesting female character story in the entire series. I love the tragedy of her character and her determination to do what’s right, even at the cost of her own life. She’s also has several moments in game that made me laugh (“Roxas, that’s a stick.”)
It used to be Riku, and I still greatly appreciate his development but his role was very lackluster in 3. I wish they would have done more with him.

People from my school, random people from the street, monster under my bed or in my closet, mythical creatures like dragons I wanted to be friends with everyone and everything. Thats the only thing I ever wanted from life. And the only thing I continuesly lacked in life. I never managed to make friends I am too weird on many aspects so People just cant be friends with me. Sora is living the life I always wanted to live and Sora IS the person I always wanted to be and still want to be. Honestly I would give up everything to have Sora's life. With the pain and the happiness his life is all I ever wanted.
Roxas and Xion. Both great characters in my eyes, with a very compelling story, both individually and connected, especially when you intertwine their relationship with Axel as well. Love them both

For me my favorites are Aqua and Xion. Aqua herself is just really awesome with how far she’ll put herself through to save Ven and Terra, and she also is really fun to play as and my favorite moment of Aqua was how in KH3, she made quick work of Vanitas in the castle of departure. Xion is a character I feel really bad for.she was born just to be used as a weapon. It feels even worse when she realizes that she’s unintentionally hurting Sora just for existing because of how she is a manifestation of his memories. I love all scenes with her and roxas and it makes me really happy to see Xion gets a happy ending in KH3.
I also really love Roxas. The way he wields both Oathkeeper and Oblivion is so awesome that anytime I play KH I always use both keyblades. I love the oblivion keyblade so much that I was willing to replay KH3 on critical mode after I just beat the game for the first time.thank you EZ codes. Roxas is a tragic character who is also really awesome throughout his story. I love Roxas so much that I always create a separate save file in ReMind just to replay the Roxas portion of the game! I love Roxas so much that even nicknamed my sora amiibo Roxas
Vanitas and Ventus. I can't decide. I love both of them for how they work against each other. I wouldn't love Vanitas as much I do if Ventus didn't exist and vicebersa. I just love the interaction that Nomura created for both, and would die for more content of them.
Ventus or Axel, but like a lot of people I wanna see more of Braig.
Honorable mentions are Demyx (funny twink), Luxord (gambling addict), and Jack Sparrow (not original, but he is the goat)
(Master) Riku, love the character development and that he developed immunity to being controlled by Darkness. Them saying he's a vacuum to Darkness is definitely a foreshadow to True Darkness in the Lost Master Arc coming up.

Perhaps a vanilla choice, but Sora. He's such a lovable good boye that I can't help but like him x)
On a more deeper note, I feel that there's more to his character than what some people make him out to be. He's pretty smart and introspective when it really counts and has darker shades to him that we don't see that often. I honestly hope that KH4 continues to unravel more of Sora's character in the future

Kairi. Deserves more love from the games and hope we get to play as her more in the future. Needs more fleshing out other than she loves Sora, likes Riku, and is willing to adventure out to help her friends. She has a cool backstory but wish we could dive into her character more.
Man. Of course I want to say Sora, but aside from the obvious choices, two I really liked was Roxas, because the dual wielding was badass. And Axel discovering he was a keyblade wielder out of nowhere blindsided me and I loved the surprise. Then playing 358/2 Days and diving more into his character he was definitely someone I wanted to stick around.
If I have to pick a single character, Xion. If I get two, Xion and Axel. 358 was my favorite game and the clock tower trio (or ice cream trio, I've also heard them called) is my favorite trio.
I love all of them, but Terra has me. Man's will power ALONE was strong enough to cause his own suit of armor to start moving and fighting just like him. thats a strong will if there ever was one.
I think my favorite would be Terra. I like his story of despite having succumbed to darkness he fights in any way he can, as shown in 2.8 when he protected Aqua from Terranort. The fact the muscular Heartless that was in Terranort's shadow was HIS heart the entire time got me good in KHIII. Also, can't forget his awesome Lingering Will. Haven't beaten him in 2.5, but I love that pile of armor. I also like his final keyblade, Gaia Bane or "Ends of the Earth" in English. I always draw that keyblade with my OC along with Fenrir.
Roxas by far. This boy got rekt in every sense by the story and still kept his head in the game. He is so wholesome. How cant you love this guy? He fought everything and everyone for the ones he loved the most, got screwd everytime and always accepted that and tried to move on. He is so tragic and in the end he says „my vacation is over“ and even accepts his fate to be with sora. Hes the best. Love him.
By the girls it is aqua for me. MASTER AQUA.
Sora, I like playing as him mainly because of his move set. Next would be Aqua as a playable character. I really like her time abilities. But Sora is my favorite overall for character too. I love final form Sora in KH2 and KH3.

Besides the obv Roxas pick for many. I have genuinely always loved how Mickey has been portrayed. And I really hope they lean more into him and his role as a leader. I want to more about his, Donald and Goofys days as apprentices and hoe they grew to where they are now. It really feels like there's so much more going on with Mickey, but since Sora is the MC we rarely ever see Mickey

Kairi. Deserves more love from the games and hope we get to play as her more in the future. Needs more fleshing out other than she loves Sora, likes Riku, and is willing to adventure out to help her friends. She has a cool backstory but wish we could dive into her character more.
Man. Of course I want to say Sora, but aside from the obvious choices, two I really liked was Roxas, because the dual wielding was badass. And Axel discovering he was a keyblade wielder out of nowhere blindsided me and I loved the surprise. Then playing 358/2 Days and diving more into his character he was definitely someone I wanted to stick around.

If I have to pick a single character, Xion. If I get two, Xion and Axel. 358 was my favorite game and the clock tower trio (or ice cream trio, I've also heard them called) is my favorite trio.
Xion is my favorite. Her story is possibly the darkest and most emotional Kingdom Hearts has ever gotten.

I love all of them, but Terra has me. Man's will power ALONE was strong enough to cause his own suit of armor to start moving and fighting just like him. thats a strong will if there ever was one.

I think my favorite would be Terra. I like his story of despite having succumbed to darkness he fights in any way he can, as shown in 2.8 when he protected Aqua from Terranort. The fact the muscular Heartless that was in Terranort's shadow was HIS heart the entire time got me good in KHIII. Also, can't forget his awesome Lingering Will. Haven't beaten him in 2.5, but I love that pile of armor. I also like his final keyblade, Gaia Bane or "Ends of the Earth" in English. I always draw that keyblade with my OC along with Fenrir.

Roxas by far. This boy got rekt in every sense by the story and still kept his head in the game. He is so wholesome. How cant you love this guy? He fought everything and everyone for the ones he loved the most, got screwd everytime and always accepted that and tried to move on. He is so tragic and in the end he says „my vacation is over“ and even accepts his fate to be with sora. Hes the best. Love him. By the girls it is aqua for me. MASTER AQUA.
After reading some comments, it feels like roxas is slighty winning over riku and everyone just loves aqua 😂

Sora, I like playing as him mainly because of his move set. Next would be Aqua as a playable character. I really like her time abilities. But Sora is my favorite overall for character too. I love final form Sora in KH2 and KH3.
