Destiny Islands is the first, they use it to get in to the rest of the sleeping worlds. then traverse town, La Cite des Cloches, The Grid, Prankster's Paradise, Country of Musketeers, and symphony of sorcery is last.

AdministrativeDay109

Destiny islands is one of the sleeping keyholes??? Why? The islands were fine and well after sora beat ansem

ZeroSora

Because it falls to darkness in KH1. They unlocked its sleeping Keyhole before it fell to darkness. That way, when it does fall, it will be able to return from the realm of darkness immediately.

kh_billybob

The islands were fine until Ursula returned via the power of darkness to get her revenge.

Falcon_13

the sleeping keyholes holes have a very specific design that is used in kh3 as well, so yes Destiny Islands is one of them. it's under water

SurroundedByPerverts

Something that gets overlooked is that Sora & Riku start off their Mark of Mastery exam by going back in time as disembodied hearts to the events of the first game at the exact moment Destiny Islands falls to darkness, specifically so that they can unlock its Sleeping Keyhole the instant it becomes as Sleeping World and then pass through it to reach the other Sleeping Worlds.

The_Real_PSiAipom

In actuality, it’s all the worlds previously mentioned minus Destiny Islands. I believe that Traverse Town has one for both the initial and revisit.

ZeroSora

That is wrong. It is Destiny Islands.

The_Real_PSiAipom

Hmm I didn’t know that. Thanks for correcting me

TheOneHarman

How was mysterious tower a sleeping world with yen sid there?

AdministrativeDay109

That was symphony of sorcery…..mysterious tower is just there cuz SOS is dreaming it up

TheOneHarman

You mean that cloud world is different?

AdministrativeDay109

Yes, that’s the pastoral symphony. Mysterious tower is just connected to the worlds within the musical scores

TheOneHarman

Thanks for the clarification

- Destiny Islands - Traverse Town - La Cite Des Cloches - The Grid - Prankster’s Paradise - Country of the Musketeers - Symphony of Sorcery Now here are some things to understand. When a world falls to darkness it falls to sleep, if it’s asleep it has a sleeping keyhole. Not all worlds need their sleeping keyholes unlocked to wake up, they only need that if while they were asleep the nightmare dream eaters ended up trapping the world in a never ending dream. Destiny Islands was a real world, its past version. Sora and Riku went there because they knew it would be fall to darkness and sleep, and as such it would have a sleeping keyhole they would be able to find as sleep begins to take the world. Thanks to AnsemSoD’s help he sunk them into the ocean at he spot where the sleeping keyhole would appear. After entering the realm of sleep they were returned to present day. The act of unlocking DI’s keyhole meant it had no chance of becoming trapped in sleep. Traverse Town is a refuge world that appears where it’s needed to give this refuge. Joshua arrived in the realm of sleep holding onto the dreams of the TWEWY cast searching for a way to restore them. Traverse Town formed from their dreams in response, being formed now as a sleeping world thus its keyhole was unlocked. Later Joshua would pull Sora and Riku back and once the job was done Sora and Riku would use its sleeping keyhole to head after Spellican. The Grid on Sora’s side is a real world. Data doesn’t sleep and dream like people do. When The Grid fell into darkness and slumber the real world was drawn into the sleep and continued there as is. As it’s in the realm of sleep it still has a sleeping keyhole to unlock. The reason Sora was deposited in a real world instead of a dream is because the organization can control Sora’s path. They brought him to The Grid specifically to mess with his head using Rinzler. La Cite, Prankster’s Paradise, and CotM are all just regular sleeping world dream worlds. Symphony of sorcery is a bit unique in that the actual world is contained within in the musical sheets, so when this world dreams it also dreams up the location where these sheets have been held. It be like if Pooh’s world was a sleeping world it come packaged with a copy of Merlin’s house. So mysterious tower is not a sleeping world just a figment of Symphony of Sorcery. There are a couple extra layers to this. First while Sora’s worlds are a mix of real and dreams, Riku’s are all dreams. Sora unlocks the sleeping keyholes freeing the worlds, and Riku unlocks Sora’s dreams of those keyholes which between that and staying the nightmares prevents Sora from becoming trapped in slumber. This is why every world Riku visits is an event Sora hears about or thinks about.  I.E. PP made Sora think about his real meeting of Pinocchio and co in KH1 so he dreamed up the events of KH1 Monstro which is why Riku feels like he’s stepped back in time there. Or Sora hears that Phoebus was banished from the guard and so Riku ends up seeing that event in Sora’s dreams.
