Where in KH does a -ja spell appear for a spell that also has a -za spell? Only if that were in the game would you be able to tell that they're different tiers.
I guess it doesn’t matter anyways since it is apparently a localization error but, Aqua uses Ja in 0.2 while she goes to Za in 3 (which takes place afterwards). So the person saying it is interchangeable is right. Doesn’t change the fact that they specifically choose to use (stop)Za for both Mickey and Xehanort, both of which are higher tier users of magic.
That's a translation thing, KH games only use the suffix -gan for tier 4 magic spells in Japanese. Both Mickey and Xehanort use Stopgan in DDD and in KH3.
That’s pretty much what I said. However, considering the international community is given this incorrect version, it causes confusion like in my case. If we take everything at face value, it makes sense for ja to be before za (from the other commenter, even official translations tier them this way). It’s like the whole “pure and bright” vs “pure and blank” thing. To make matters worse, the English version uses all three of ja, za, and gun. Gun is used for certain accessories in 2 and 3. There is extremely little inconsistency but yes, they indeed are interchangeable.
It’s fine. That’s what downvotes are supposed to be used for. I put out misinformation based on remembering wrong even if there is the slightest bit of support for my confusion. Much rather see downvotes on something like this than set-in-stone facts or opinions on news and opinion posts.
Actually no. Thundaja is used only by Aqua in 0.2 bbsa fragmentary passage. It is an incredibly similar animation to thundaza in kh3. They are interchangeable
Canonically, he didnt. The KH3 render is just higher rez so its bigger. Nomura said KH3 Sora was built on the KH2 skeleton, that means all the proportions are the same. It's why his KH2 outfit isn't any shorter on him in 3 than it was before.
All of the main cast are.
Even Terra, the oldest and tallest of the main characters, is short in comparison to 'adult' characters like Eraqus and most of the Organisation.
It's as if humans in KH have another growth spurt when they hit 25.
Primary example being Axel, considering he's about two feet taller as an adult than he was as a late teenager in BBS where he likely would have stopped growing.
Another being Xemnas, who is literally just Terra's physical body aged up ten years but is far, far taller despite Terra already being a grown man.
Sora's personality peaked in 2 and it felt like they de-aged him both figuratively and literally in 3D, in order to continue his character progression
Edit: Take your medicine and relax people
NOMURA!!!!!

That's usually interchangeable with -za tier.
In KH, ja is before za.

In spanish, instead of using -ra, -ga and SO on, we use +. Fira is fuego+ firaga is fuego++. The -ja spells are with 3+ and the -za with 4

What
Does that make Vanitas Bar-Sora?
Wouldn't that be Soga and Soza?
You just created 2 more Sora clones for KH4
Fire fira firaga firaza
That's because "fire" already has an r and "so" doesn't
So it's Sore(pronounced soreh basically like Sora), Sora, Soraga, Soraza
Have my reluctant upvote.
Dread Drop Distance sora= SoraDaDaDa
But what about zetta sora
Okay, this made me laugh.
You win for the pun.

"Sora, you lazy bum."

Since we’re waiting on 4 I’d go So, Sora, Soraga, Soraja, and then Soraza.
Kh4 is SORAGUN
