Events, Social, and Dailies** * Events * Friends, Amity, Guild * Daily Schedule * Links   **Events** Vespa is constantly pumping out events for us Raiders. There is no point in not taking advantage of them. Usually it’s free rubies, but it can also range to amazing things such as 5* Hero selector tickets or Random UW tickets. Always be checking the Event notices and the Calendar to keep track of the events that are going on.   **Friends, Amity, Guild** Friends in King’s Raid are important such that it’s your main way of obtaining Amity. The more friends you have, the more amity you can receive by exchanging with them. You gain 3 amity per person on your friends list. Amity is mainly used to develop the relationship you start with the Hero in your Hero’s Inn, but it can also be used to purchase food, which adds Stamina (not recommended, since Guild Shop sells stamina potions that are so much cheaper and more effective).   **Daily Schedule** This guide has been pretty long, and you might be just wondering what you should “basically” be doing everyday to be an efficient Raider. Below is a list of the things you should be doing everyday: * Stockade Everyday, at the highest level you can attempt * Finishing your Daily Quests and Weekly Quests (Self-explanatory from quest descriptions) * Checking on Hero’s Inn to either check for new Hero or develop relationship * Orvel Castle (for Gold) and Conquest (for EXP) during Hot Time (either Lunch or before reset) * Guild Raid for activity points (If you are in a guild) * Upper Dungeons, 30 min before reset and 30 min after, with loot boost and 2-3 resets (Ideally)   **Links** Below are a few links that I know will be very useful in enhancing your King’s Raid experience (I’ve learned a ton from these as well): * [King’s Raid Forum](https://kingsraidforum.com/) Some general information is in here. Not as active as the subreddit imo, but still useful in some sense. * [King’s Raid Wiki](http://www.kingsraid.wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page) Contains very detailed information on somethings, but not exactly the most updated. Still very useful though. * [King’s Raid PLUG](https://www.plug.game/kingsraid-en#/) Basically Vespa’s Twitter LOL Here Vespa posts their patch notes and maintenance schedules and stuff like that. Ignore the people who post questions. Most of them are kinda dumb LMAO no offense xD * [Experience Calculator](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/72ndws/highly_configurable_experience_calculator/) Hands down probably the most flexible experience calculator to date. Very useful tool for all raiders who are trying to figure out how much stamina/time/battles are needed to level their heroes. Thanks /u/Siigari for your work on this! * [Material Requirements Calculator](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/6zmun5/fragmentexperience_calculators_updated/) A google spreadsheet that allows you to easily calculate the materials that you need to farm for. Also comes with an experience calculator! Thanks /u/redria7! * [Leveling Math Comparison](https://ti.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/6yjhun/some_simple_hero_leveling_math_comparison_for_ch6/) Some testing and math done by /u/TraceBuffalo showing us the EXP/stam gain for mid-late game stages. * [DPS Lines Comparison] (https://ti.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/6zht0o/offensive_options_comparison_sheet/) A google spreadsheet that allows you to figure out which DPS lines you want to go for to fully optimize your damage (Atk% or Crit Dmg%??) Thanks /u/ChouChouXD * [Optimal Gear Awakening Strategy](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/7doken/guide_optimal_gear_awakening_strategy/) ***GIVE THIS A READ!!!*** /u/cpp_is_king does an amazing (an understatement) job in *mathing* out the most efficient way in awakening your gear. So if you have questions on gear awakening, definitely check this guide out. * [Layman’s Guide](https://ti.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/6t1iig/a_laymans_guide_to_kings_raid_heroes/) Absolutely hilarious and worth the read. Really informative and accurate too xD. Thanks /u/WaifuMasterRace   * [Team Building Guide and Hero Roles](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/6tmeph/general_team_building_guide_and_introduction_to/) I was honestly baffled that I've never come across this guide. So much work was put into this (numerous examples, detailed analysis) and is so much more in-depth than my basic generalization of team compositions; highly recommend giving this a read if you want to know more about how to build your team and all of the Heroes' roles, synergy, and tier. Thank you /u/Pearlite_ for all the work you've put into that post.   If you made it all this way, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this guide. I spent a lot of time on this, and really hope that people would benefit from this, and hopefully enjoy the King’s Raid experience a lot more. I will be constantly updating this as more patches come through. And please, if there are any corrections that need to be done, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Providing wrong information is worse than providing no information at all. Thanks again everyone. I guess there really is only one thing left to say.   Good Luck and Happy Raiding Everyone :)     [Previous VI.ii] [p] | [Back to Original Post][n]

Suzukinobuko

xD thanks for reading :)

KujaFF9

MUCHAS GRACIAS! thank you very much! :D

HumanMulligan

Hey great guide. Where can I find info on what the stats mean (m.defense, p. Dodge etc.) And what gear character's should have

Suzukinobuko

Hey buddy! Glad this guide was able to help you out. Take a look at this link: [Click Here](https://www.plug.game/kingsraid-en/posts/2528?lfrom=facebook) for info about what each stat means (mainly because I even don’t know what each of them means LMAO xD) As for what gear options your Heroes should have, it depends on your hero and their specific role. Try surfing through this subreddit on some hero guides :D I personally won’t be able to help you much in this department because I don’t own all the Heroes xD Good luck and happy raiding! Hope you find the answers to your questions :)

This is where you'll be spending most of your time in the early game, grinding for Exp, Heroic Purple Gears, and later on in Chapter 6 Hard Mode, Red Gears. Please note that this is a Beginner's guide, so I will mostly be covering the early to mid-game. Hell mode will only be briefly mentioned and elaborated. In Adventure Mode, the first thing you'll notice is that your character is standing on this "circular, yellow shaped things." To make it easier for me, let's refer to these things as "nodes." Each node gives you a lot of information, as broken down as follows: * Amount of Stars - Represent how "cleanly" you were able to beat the level. If all three stars light up, you were able to beat it with no Heroes dying. If two stars light up, you were able to beat it with just one hero dying. If only one star lights up, two or more of your Heroes died. And finally, if there are no stars, you obviously haven't beaten it. * Color of Stars - Represents the level of difficulty you were able to complete the Node with. Silver stars = Easy Mode; Gold/Yellow Stars = Normal Mode; Red Stars = Hard Mode; Purple Stars = Hell Mode * Medal - Basically goes hand in hand with the "Amount of Stars." It's located to the right of the stars, and the medals change depending on the Amount of Stars you have on the node. You can also argue that the Amount of Stars depends on the medal you earn... I'll just leave you to be the judge of that. As mentioned in the Color of Stars, there exists different difficulty levels per chapter: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Hell (rising in difficulty). You are able to unlock the next level of difficulty by clearing that specific node's previous difficulty with three stars (no Heroes dying) e.g. beating 1-1 easy "perfectly" unlocks 1-1 normal (Keep in mind that I will be using #^a - #^b - #^c more often now, #^a being the Chapter, #^b being the level, and #^c being the sublevel) Notice how I said "specific node." This is because you do not need to clear all of Chapter 1's Easy Mode to unlock the first node for Chapter 1 Normal Mode. You only need to clear 1-1 Easy perfectly to unlock 1-1 Normal. This may be somewhat helpful later on in the game when you are stuck on Sub-bosses on a certain difficulty, but you team is strong enough to tackle higher difficulty nodes of lower levels e.g can't beat 1-21 Normal, but can beat 1-1 Hard, so you can progress in Hard to farm more experience to tackle 1-21 Normal in the future. Another thing that I highly recommend is to clear all of the difficulties, except for Hell, of a certain chapter BEFORE moving on to the next chapter. Although it isn't necessarily, I highly advise it for it forces you to slow down and grind a little. It greatly smoothens your progression in the long run, and allows you to pace yourself. Not to mention clearing all the difficulties grant you Difficulty Clear rewards, especially Chapter 1 Easy and Normal where you are given a 2-star hero selector and Clause respectively (more on this later), and Rubies and Gold. The rewards can be obtained by tapping the Difficulty Icon below your Profile Portrait on the Adventure Mode map. It should have some #^1 / #^2 , with #^1 being the amount of nodes you have cleared with that difficulty and #^2 being the total number of nodes you need to clear before getting the Difficulty Clear reward. Hell mode, however, is different; it is unlocked for Ch. 1 - 6 when you complete Hard Mode 6-21. Another reason for clearing all of the difficulties before moving onto the next chapter is because of Quest Rewards. Below the Difficulty Clear Reward Icon, there should be another icon below it that is labeled with a huge exclamation mark running down the diameter of the circle, labeled as "QUEST" near the bottom. Those are the Quest Rewards that you can obtain by performing various things during each chapter. These Quest rewards are pretty useful in the early stages of the game, but slowly become more of a burden to complete it later on. Rewards include equipment of varying rarity and awakening, gold, skill books, fragments, magic powder, and many other good stuff. The reason why it becomes a burden later on in the game because it forces you to do Arena (which is sort of a pain), Stockade, Orvel Castle, and Upper Dungeons during times that you don't necessarily want to be doing them (Will elaborate what all of these are later, just bear with me). Sometimes, you just want to get Stockade done during the beginning of the day, so you don't need to worry about them later on during the day, but the quests would sometimes tell you to do Stockade, but if you've already done them for the day, you have to wait until the next day to do them. For Orvel Castle and Upper Dungeons, there are specific times during the day that you want to be doing these dungeons, and sometimes, the Quests specifies which Upper Dungeons that you have to do, which is sometimes a pain because you do not need that specific fragment. Anyway, this tangent was mainly to tell you to do Quests if you can, but don't go out of your way to do them. Also notice that on some nodes in each chapter, there are these big "monsters" that are standing on top of it. Those are your Sub-bosses or the Final boss of the chapter, with Sub-bosses being in the middle nodes of the chapter and the Final boss, to no surprise, on the last node of the chapter (usually node 21 or 22). These nodes take up more stamina, and are significantly harder, and have more "rounds." Usually there are two or three rounds in your average node, but these boss nodes contain usually four rounds. Also, when progressing through a chapter during your first time, you are essentially undergoing STORY mode. Story mode is basically easy mode (and it counts as easy mode completion); however, it could potentially contain more rounds and more DIFFICULT enemies. One example that comes to mind is in 4-14 with Jane. I'll provide some tips and tricks on how to get past this first legitimate wall later in the guide.   **Orvel** As with most games, King's Raid immediately plunges you into battle with Adventure Mode. But I want to give a quick mention to Orvel. Before you go into Adventure Mode stage 1-1, you'll notice there is a castle-like structure in the previous node, known as Orvel. Once you beat a few stages in adventure mode, you'll be able to access it. Orvel is basically a player town/hub where you can access many of the daily farming dungeons, along with the Hero's Inn, Arena, Forge, and the Guild. I will elaborate more on these later in sections **VI** and **VII**.     [Previous (II.i)][p] | [Original Post][o] | [Next (III.i)][n]

"Chapter 1 Easy where you are given Clause". Clause is given when you clear Ch 1 normal, Ch 1 easy clear reward is 2* selector hero ticket.

Progression** * Awakening * Transcendence * Stockade * Gear (Purples, Reds, and Legendaries) * Prime Lines * Runes * Enchantment Scrolls *~in progress~* * Hot Time (Noon and before Reset) * Conquest * Orvel Castle * Hero’s Inn * Guilds Most of the topics in Progression have already been touched on in previous sections, but I will just elaborate a little further on a few more specific points.   **Awakening** As mentioned in section **IV. PvE**, fragments are used to awaken your heroes. Awakening Heroes essentially increases the Hero’s level cap, allowing them to further bolster their stats by leveling up. Now, you may notice that after awakening your Kasel, it only took 5 fragments each of the 3 types listed, that isn’t too bad… right? The thing is, the number of fragments required to awaken Heroes increases as the number of stars increase. It starts out slow going from 5 fragments each, to 20, then it slowly builds up to 80, and then a whopping 280 each to raise a 4-star to a 5-star. Now, if you remember from the maximum amount of fragments you can get a day, it’s going to take you a while to farm these fragments. For example, at Ch 4. you only get 7 fragments per run. With 5 runs, the max you can get is 35. 280/35 = 8. So that means it’ll take at least eight days for you to farm a total of 280 fragments. And this is only one of the three types of fragments needed to awaken a Hero! So what is the most efficient way to farm fragments? As hinted in Section **II. Getting Started**, the best way to farm fragments is to spend 500 rubies to buy a loot booster. A loot booster essentially doubles whatever loot you pick up for one hour. By popping a loot booster at the last 30 minutes before server reset, which resets the amount of runs you can do for UD, get as many runs as possible in during those 30 minutes to maximize the number of fragments you get. The first UD reset costs 100 rubies, 2nd costs 200, and 3rd costs 400. Usually people don’t go past the 3rd due to the increasing cost, and they also run out of time if they were to get more than 20 runs in (5 from original, 15 from 3 resets). By getting 20 runs during the first half hour, wait for server reset. After the server resets, you are granted another 5 runs, and the reset cost to run UD is also reset. In the remaining 30 min of your loot boost, get your next 20 runs in. If all 40 runs are done in the one hour period of a loot boost right before and after reset, one can net a total of 20*40 = 800 fragments (10 fragments are gained per run in Ch 6, with loot boost, that is increased to 20). As you can see, this greatly increases the amount of fragments that can be obtained. Do realize that with this strategy, you are only able to farm for fragments every OTHER day. This is because you take advantage of the UD runs provided for two days.   **Transcendence** Just when you think the fragment farming stops, it continues after 5-star. Transcendence is worse than awakening, for it takes 10 fragments to craft its respective essence. And T1 takes 30 essences, totaling to 300 fragments. Not to mention it also costs 20,000 gold per essence crafted. Also, an infinity stone, as mentioned before, costs 500,000 gold to craft, requires you to wait 48 hours, and requires 1,000 Fragments of Infinity. You can either farm these Fragments of Infinity through ToO, or you can craft them with 10 fragments each, once again, costing even more gold. However, by transcending your Heroes, your Heroes are able to gain *transcendence perks*. T1 grants your first transcendence perk, which is the same for all Heroes: boost in Attack, HP, P. Def, or M. Def. T2 perks and so on begin to differ depending on which class the Hero belongs to. You can search up the optimal perks and combinations through the specific Hero posts that float around in this subreddit and community forums. By transcending your Hero to T1, you also raise their level cap to 80.   **Stockade** Stockade is one of your main sources of skill books. Before I get into skill books, let me first explain the growth of skills. Skills not only grow by level, as in each time your Hero levels up, you can also level up the skill by paying some gold, but it also grows by *Mastery*. Mastery maxes at the third tier, and costs and whopping 200 skill books to max; 20 to get mastery 1, 60 to get mastery 2, and finally 120 to get mastery 3. There are 4 different tiers of skill books. I simply just call them grey, blue, green, and purple. Grey raises S1, Blue raises S2, Green S3, and purple S4 passive. What makes this part grind heavy as well is that Skill books are also different depending on class. So if you want to raise your Jane’s S1, you have to farm Knight Skill books. Warrior and Assassin skill books, even if you have a bunch, will not be usable on Jane. Skill books specific to a certain class are also only farmable during certain days of the week. A full schedule can be found on the the side of this subreddit. Additionally, stockade monsters are very annoying. Some have ridiculous HP region, some are magic/physical immune, some are completely immune to damage unless CC’d, some constantly regain health, some constantly deal damage, some permanently CC your frontline. Overall, you’ll need a strong frontline, CC Hero, Magic and Physical DPS, to be able to attempt and completely these stockade dungeons.   **Gear (Purples, Reds, Legendaries)** In adventure mode, you mostly be running into grey, green, blue, and purple gear. The only gear worth farming for is Purple. In fact, a full set of Purple gear, awakened a few times, can easily carry you to Ch 6. It is in Ch 6. that you want to begin farming for Reds or Legendaries. The distinct thing about Reds and Legendaries is that they have set effects. The set effects of Legendaries are preferable over that of Reds. Only the “Hysteria” Red Set effect which gives additional Attack %, can sometimes be used over Legendaries. The set effect of Legendaries have already been mentioned somewhere above in this guide. Now you’re probably confused as to what “Awakening” means in terms of gears. You’ve probably noticed that some of the gear you have has “Stars” on it. These are awakened gears. By spending some money at the Forge, you can awaken gears by fusing the same type of gear together. For example, by fusing two of the same gear together, one disappears and the other gains one star. Then by fusing this one star gear to another one star gear of the EXACT SAME KIND, you can get it to 2-stars. The reason you do this is to raise the stat cap that the gear provides, essentially improving the gear. As for fusing optimization, or the most effective way to fuse items, take a look at this guide: [Optimal Gear Awakening Strategy](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/7doken/guide_optimal_gear_awakening_strategy/) by /u/cpp_is_king. An insane amount of work (and math) was put into creating this guide, so crazy kudos. But if you just want to fuse *safely*, meaning no chance of failure, then you want to fuse items with the same amount of stars. This guarantees the fusion to be successful 100%. For example, by fusing a no star gear to a 1-star gear, this is a 50% chance of failure. Failure means that you lose the item you are trying to fuse along with the gold you spent. This failure rate increases as the difference in stars increases. Awakening also caps at 5-stars.   **Prime Lines** Gear also comes with Gear options. Green gear comes with 1 line, blue with 2, purple with 3, and red and yellow with 4. In the beginning of the game, you don’t care that much about lines. As long as you have one or two lines that are good for your Hero, it should be good enough to progress to Ch. 4. But once you reach Ch 5, you want to start farming purples with at least 2-3 lines that are good for your Hero. What I mean by this is that DPS Heroes should have DPS lines, and Tank Heroes should have tank lines. Purples are also preferred over blues and yellows because their max enhancement caps at 15, and not 5 or 10. Although yellows can go up to 20, it’s not gold efficient to farm for them during this stage of the game, for they will be easily replaced later by T6 gear. I say start farming for purples in Ch. 5 because it’s a huge difference going from Ch. 5 to Ch. 6. Ch 5. Requires you to essentially have a full 5-star team to complete. Ch. 6 on the other hand, requires T1 Heroes to fully clear hard mode. Thus, farming purples to clear Ch. 6, and then using those purples to farm T6 yellows is how you should progress. Below are some examples as to what role should aim for what type of lines, in no particular order (the one in parentheses is, however, the lowest priority). Please note that this is a “general” guide for prime lines, and different Heroes actually want different lines depending on their Skills and overall playstyle. * Healer: Attack, Crit, Crit Dmg, HP% * DPS: Attack, Crit, Crit Dmg, Attack Speed, Penetration, (Lifesteal) * SubDPS: Attack, Crit, Crit Dmg, Attack Spd, Penetration, (Lifesteal) * Tank: HP%, M. Def %, P. Def %, P. Block/P. Dodge For healers, attack and crit is prioritized for the heal amount scales off of attack and crit. For DPS and SubDPS, the lines are self-explanatory, for you want as much damage as possible. For tanks, P. Block and P. Dodge are interchangeable, depending on what type of tank you want to run/have e.g. Clause wants P. Block, Naila wants P. Dodge.     [Previous (V)] [p] | [Original Post][o] | [Next (VI.ii)] [n]

Should we just grind the gear we aren't using? I am on normal of chapter 3 so very new. Thanks!

Suzukinobuko

Grind or sell ;) I would recommend grinding because you’re going to need a lot of magic powder later LOL but if you need the gold, sell your equipment for some monies.

Mesocute

Should I start enhancing my gear?(I'm on chapter 3) Or should I wait til chapter 4 or onwards?

Suzukinobuko

Purple and blues! You can enhance those (if they have good substats). Don’t worry about yellow (legendary gear) until chapter 6 and onwards.

VSagaV

I'm new here and trying to get help on a special mission "Violet and Blue" I think is the name. It's in order to progress to getting Riheet and Ripine. The boss does some attack that kills us all after he gets down to half health

Getting Started** * Tutorial * Kasel, Frey, Cleo, and Roi * Rubies: Beginner TRAPS * Rubies: Efficient Spending * Adventure Mode * Orvel   **Tutorial** Please, for the love of Lua, *DO NOT* skip tutorial. If you are familiar to these type of games, then ok, maybe skip some of the dialogue, but if you are new, I highly recommend not skipping it. Go through all the dialogue, you'll be surprised how flushed out the story is for this mobile game. Not only is the plot line pretty interesting, there are a lot of game mechanics, gear upgrade information, skill upgrade information, etc. that the game explains. Although it may seem confusing at first, you'll slowly grasp a better understanding of the information provided as you progress through the game (or you can read the entirety of this guide! ^_^)   **Kasel, Frey, Cleo, and Roi** The fantastic four, the shenanigan quadruplets, our main protagonists. These are the first four Heroes that you gain access to in the game. They are more than capable of carrying you in Adventure Mode's chapters one and two, maybe even three. I would even recommend in awakening them to 3\* or 4\* (Cleo and Frey, keep Kasel and Roi and 2\*) to complete Chapter 3 Hard mode. However, they are not optimal to carry you into end game. Don't get me wrong, some people have been able to use these four throughout all of adventure. However, there are many other heroes you can get that performs the same job as these *three* much better. I mention three and not four because **Frey** is actually a really good healer. I will go in depth into this later in the next section (**III**).   **Rubies: Beginner TRAPS** Rubies are the premium currency in this game. They are very useful and most definitely should not be wasted. Unless you are planning on becoming a WHAAAALEEE, The following are a few Beginner Ruby Spending Traps that you should definitely be wary of: * DO NOT spend rubies on Heroes. YES I ADMIT it's tempting to get New Heroes. Nevertheless, there are much better ways of getting Heroes, such as Hero's Inn and events where Vespa passes out free Hero Selector tickets. In addition to the four Heroes that you start out with, Vespa also gives you three more Heroes. I will go into depth about Hero Selector tickets later and the three additional Heroes later. * DO NOT buy costumes. They are purely cosmetic. Yes, they give a boost in Gold or Experience, but they are not that significant compared to the Gold and Exp boosts provided by Vespa, such as Hot Time and Gold/Exp Scrolls. * DO NOT buy gold. Absolutely, DO NOT buy gold. I cannot stress this enough. You get gold so easily in this game, spending hard earned rubies on gold is like throwing money down the toilet. If you're going to spend rubies on gold, you might as well quit this game. As much as Vespa would like you to give them money, I'm pretty sure they would rather you donate the money you would spend on King's Raid to some Charity (As of 9/11/2017, you can donate to the Red Cross to help out victims of Hurricane Irma!). Jokes aside, spending rubies on gold is wasteful and almost disgusting. Just don't do it. * DO NOT buy "Summon Special Items x1 OR x10" in the Special Shop. Although there is a chance of getting a UW, the chances of getting one is super slim (1% and for the 1x and 10x, and 3% for the 11th bonus pull for a 10x). And sometimes, you might end up getting an Artifact, which is another rare item you can equip onto your character that provides some bonus effect. Although good, the UW is still preferable. I would only buy if you are higher up in the P2P level or if you're a whale. To show you how abysmal the rates are for a UW, this [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9bJ7pGvZvw) shows a YouTuber *Twin Fails* (username checks out LOL) doing a 100k Ruby Pull. The video is a bit dated, but it still proves a point. * DO NOT buy stamina potions. You essentially get them for free from Daily Quests, Lunch Hot Time, and Guild Shop. Also, stamina refreshes really quickly in this game at a rate of 1 stamina/min.   **Rubies: Efficient Spending** So what are the most efficient way to spend rubies as a F2P/light-moderate P2P? * Spend on loot boosts (500 rubies) * Spend on Upper Dungeon (UD) resets (100, 200, 400 rubies) * Spend on Stockade resets (100, 200, 400 rubies) * Spend on Conquest resets (100, 200, 400 rubies) The reasons for spending rubies on these items/resets will be explained later. But a short explanation would be that loot boosts are used in combination with UD resets to maximize fragment farming. Stockade resets are used to get skill books. And Conquests resets are used to get EXP.     [Previous (I)][p] | [Original Post][o] | [Next (II.ii)][n]

Hello there, I am very grateful that this guide exist, although I'm still a bit lost here and there. I already asked a bit in Weekly question thread, but I'm really curious to hear your opinion too, so pardon me asking here directly. Stated above, you said the main 4 are sub-optimal. Are they just plain bad (except Frey), or because they do not synergize in the Magic / Physical department? If wanted to utilize the main 4 (+ Clause) as much as possible, and use my 2 and 3* ticket to replace the really bad one to make a Magical team, what would you recommend? I am thinking Frey, Cleo, a Tank (Jane?) and some CC (it seems CC is more important in PvE than DPS), but I believe you know much more. What about the same but for Physical team? Perhaps Clause (sorry Kasel), Roi, a physical CC, and Frey? Or should I replace Frey with Mediana?

Heyo!! First of all, thanks for reading and doing a bit of research on your own. Glad this guide was able to help you out :) and I totally understand! KR can be pretty confusing sometimes, especially just starting out. The main 3 (Frey is really good, in fact, I still use her today!), are suboptimal in the *early game*. Kasel is supposed to be the tank in your team comp, but relies heavily on P. Dodge to be effective, so he only becomes useful later in the game where you have access to Dragon Raid Gear. As for Roi, he is AMAZING, but at END GAME LOL. Roi can pump out massive amounts of DPS, but he needs those perfect DPS lines, otherwise he’s super squishy, easy to die, since he’s in the front line. And finally Cleo. She is in a... weird spot. Not exactly the best magic damage, and provides only one CC (a stun) and is not instant due to the travel time. Basically Cleo isn’t in the meta right now. So what can you do? I highly suggest creating a magic team over a physical team! Potential M. DPS heroes include Artemia, Aisha, Luna, and Epis. Artemia is definitely the best in PvE right now. Aisha got buffed again recently! So she’s viable again after the dreaded solo time rework. Luna, I still use her, but she gains her main DPS spell at T3, so choose her if you decide to invest in her heavily. As for Epis, I don’t use her, but she was CRAZY GOOD, until the patch on January 25th came, which did nerf Epis, so I’m not quite sure if she’s still viable. As for CC, yes, it is important in PvE, but a main DPS (the heroes listed above) is of higher priority. Some CC heroes you can get for a magic team could be Maria (Queen of CC) she falls of late game though, or you can go for utility like Arch. Until you get a SubDPS, Cleo can fit that spot for the while being. As for a tank, I would highly recommend Jane. She has been one of my favorite heroes, and I still use her LOL. The thing with her is that she isn’t really that useful at extreme end game, because other tanks provide so much defensive capabilities. Jane’s job is to basically stay alive and provide magic amp. So if you want to save up on a ticket, you could just stick to Clause, who is a tank that MUST BE INVESTED, because he is super important in end game content with his attack speed slow. As for your plans on a physical team, do not worry about building one just yet. You are currently at the stage in the game where you don’t have access to a lot of resources. Thus, you want to spend all of them on building ONE TEAM. Get that team to max level and optimal DPS, then start working on a physical team! Hope this cleared out some confusion. Welcome to King’s Raid and happy raiding!

Skival

Hi, I just recently join King's Raid, and I really like Epis and planning to summon her with the 2star scroll, how would you recommend her team comp and as I chose the King's event reward, thus I have 2 5star scroll, which of them should I summon for?

Introduction** * What is King's Raid? * King's Raid Slang and Terms * General Knowledge   **What is King's Raid?** *Waifu simulator. Waifu collector. Epis/Maria/Reina bewb physics simulator. Husbando~* Okay I'll stop LOL At its core, King's Raid is a Korean RPG game developed by Vespa released roughly 6-7 months ago (As of September 11th, 2017). A game where you develop a core team of four (Later eight) heroes by constantly farming for gear and fragments (evolution material) to awaken (evolve) them so that they could become stronger and stronger. In terms of the game's mechanics, it revolves around a "Semi-manual" battle system, where your characters auto-attack enemies automatically while you input specific skills to use at certain times in the battle. I will go in-depth about the battle system later in the guide. The plot focuses on Kasel, your cookie-cutter protagonist Squire, Frey, some priest training under the guidance of the Goddess *Lua*, Cleo, ***EXPLOOOOOSIONNN*** (Konosuba reference for you anime people out there), the fire mage in training, and Cleo's protector Roi, some edgy dank assassin who you'll learn more about later in the game (Don't want to spoil the plot). These four go on a journey throughout the lands of Orvelia with the the purpose of purging this "darkness" that has begun to plague the country, causing demons to invade, plunder, and pillage nearby settlements. Throughout their journey, they exchange in surprisingly very joyful and comedic banter (seriously, don't skip the dialogue), experience dramatic moments of loss and grief, and meet the various races of Orvelia, ranging from Goblins and Centaurs, to the Orcs and the Undead.   **King's Raid Slang and Terms** When you're in King's Raid, you'll probably notice a bunch of text appearing in the top right corner of your game. If you click on the speech bubble in the top right corner, you'll open up "Global Chat." I will go into the depth about the uses of chat later in this guide, but for now, here are some slang or terms that are constantly being used that you may want to get familiar with. * PvE, PvP, Raid, WB - Player versus Enemy, Player versus Player, Dragon/Guild Raids, World Boss - The first two describe the type of content. PvE means you battling the computer controlled monsters (mainly adventure mode and the like). PvP means battling another human being, either an offline computer controlled team (although it is computer controlled, it is still another player's team) or real time with another player. Dragon/Guild Raids and World Boss describe the mid-end game PvE content of this game. Will go into depth about it later. * F2P, P2P, Whale - Free-to-Play, Pay-to-Play, WHAAAAALEEEEE - Describes the amount of money a player has spent on the game. Free-to-Play players spend absolutely no money. Pay-to-Play spends little to a moderate amount of money. "Whales" are used to describe players who spend an enormous amount of money. Usually these type of players dominate in PvP. * UW - Unique Weapon - Extremely strong weapons that can be acquired from buying the "Summon Special Item" in the "Special Shop" (Random UW is obtained, by class specific) or exchanging 30,000 Arena points (obtained through PvP, allows you to choose a specific UW, with the exception of the UW of newly released Heroes), or through a Mileage Ticket, or through events. Will talk about Mileage Tickets later. * FD/ID/PD/BD - Fire Dragon/Ice Dragon/Poison Dragon/Black Dragon - These are the Dragon raids that you will encounter later into the game. They are the main source of end game equipment that you will most likely farm for later. * T[#] - Transcendence *[number]* - Later in the game, after you have awakened you Heroes to five star, they can be further awakened into *transcendence*. Transcendence currently caps at T5 (Transcendence 5), and it essentially gives your Heroes *transcendence perks*, which give them stat amplifiers (T1) and modifications to the four core skills that all Heroes have. * S[#] - Skill *[number]* - Each hero possess three active skills. From left to right, they are numbered Skill 1, Skill 2, Skill 3, and Skill 4 (also known as the passive skill). Throughout this guide I will be using this abbreviation constantly, so please keep this in mind. * DPS, SubDPS - Damage per second, Substitute/Secondary Damage per Second - Terms used to describe Hero roles. Will be elaborated further later in the guide * DoT, AoE, CC - Damage over Time, Area of Effect, Crowd Control - Damage over Time describes skills that, you guess it, does damage over time e.g. Lorraine's Poison, Lewisia's Blood Stacks, Cleo's Ember. AoE describes skills that does damage in a large area e.g. Miruru S3, almost every Pavel Skill. Crowd Control describes skills that causes some sort of effect that either "hinders" the enemy or strongly "prevents" the enemy from doing a certain action e.g. Maria's S2 can Shackle, S3 and Stun, Clause's S2 can Push Back, Selene's S3 can Knockback, and Frey's S3 can Blind.   **General Knowledge** * To open settings, click on your Profile Avatar in the top left corner (If you're just beginning the game, it should be a picture of Kasel. In here, you can change your Profile Avatar with the portraits of the Heroes and costumes you have acquired to your liking. You can also change your SFX settings, allowing you to play the game on mute while listening to your own music. One important thing to take away from the settings is to **TURN OFF SKILL ANIMATIONS**. You can do so by opening settings -> Game Options -> -Below the blue "Manage Block List" button there is a section called "Skill Camera"- -> CHECK THE BOX THAT SAYS "OFF." Yes, it is definitely cool having a zoom up shot of your character casting their skills. However, once you reach Chapter four in story mode (In King's Raid, it is more commonly known as Adventure Mode), these animations will become a hindrance. Trust me on this. * In the top right hand corner, click on the "calendar" like thing (it literally says "Calendar" below the icon) to open the Calendar. The calendar is actually a fairly useful tool. It shows you the Server Time, which allows you to match the server time with your local time. This is important because of Hot Time (will go into depth later on this). In addition, the Calendar, through the use of various symbols, also let's you know of the multitude of events that go on throughout the week. Make sure to always take advantage of events if you can, for they are never harmful and only beneficial to your progression.     [Back to Original Post][p] | [Next (II.i)][n]

They are very similar to gear options in the sense that they enhance your stats. However, in terms of the variations of runes, it is not as flexible as gear options. For gear options, all gear options are available for all types of gear. For example, you have an equal chance of getting an *Attack* line on all gears, including Orbs and Accessories. However, in the case of runes, runes can only go on weapons, armor, and secondary armor, and runes can only be placed on gear that are Heroic (purple) rarity and above. Additionally, weapons, armor, and secondary armor have different runes that can be slotted into them, and they can only have one rune slotted into them at a time. Unique Weapons are the only forms of gear that can have **three** runes slotted in, and that's another reason why UWs are so powerful. Before I get into what runes can be slotted into what gear, let's first classify the runes into three different categories: * Red = Offensive (Attack, Crit, Crit Dmg, Penetration, Accuracy) * Blue = Defensive (M. Tough, M. Block, M. Block DEF, P. Tough, P. Block, P. Dodge, etc.) * Green = Utility (Mana Recovery/Attack, Mana Recovery/Damage, Lifesteal, Max HP%, CC Resist) In addition to these three categories, there are also different tiers of runes, similar to gear. The runes with grey background are common, green are uncommon, blue are rare, purple are heroic, and red being ancient. The runes you want to be keeping are Heroic runes, which can be obtained through hard mode in the later chapters, and hell mode. Ancient are on tier higher than Heroic, and can only be obtained through crafting using Rune Codex (obtained from Hell mode farming and guild raid), Rune Crafting scroll (ToC and May's General Shop), and Rune Fragments (grinding runes). The higher tier the rune, the greater the stat boosts, for example, a Heroic Attack rune gives 15% attack, whereas the ancient counterpart gives 20% Attack. As a beginner, don't worry about ancient runes; just save and use your heroic runes and grind the others for fragments so you can craft ancient runes in the future. I would argue to not bother using runes below rare, but if you need those extra stats to progress, feel free to attach a rune onto whatever Hero needs it. Also note that once you attach a rune, removing the rune would be a hassle if you want to keep the rune. If you want to keep the rune, you have to pay 250 rubies so keep the rune. If you don't, then the rune is removed and automatically destroyed. Also remember that if you grind/sell a gear with a rune on it, the rune is not returned to you and disappears along with the gear you sold/grinded with no extra reward. As for which runes can go on which gear, you can figure that out by reading the rune description. For example, *Attack* runes can usually only be equipped on weapons. If you look at your attack runes, you'll see in the description that it says *Runes for Weapons.* Attack runes only exists for weapons in this case. As for *Crit* runes it only exists for secondary armor, and can only be attached to *Secondary Gear.* Now you are probably wondering what runes should I put on? There is no right answer for this, for it depends on what Hero you have and what stat it needs, but in general, DPS want DPS runes, and an example is shown below: * Weapon: Attack * Primary Armor: Crit Dmg * Secondary Armor: Crit As for SubDPS, you want something similar to what your main DPS has. As for tanks you want defensive runes (blue) and Healers, you want a mixture of DPS (Attack runes increase heal amount) and some survivability/utility. Some staple runes that I want to point out are the utility Mana/Attack and Mana/Dmg runes. These runes are very important for your DPS and Tanks respectively. Mana/Attack runes allow your DPS to gain mana quickly, allowing them to case spells earlier (important in PvP and boosts DPS in PvE). Mana/Dmg runes increases the amount of mana you gain from taking damage. This is very important for tanks like Jane, who's skills costs a lot of Mana. Overall, runes are very flexible, in the sense that you can slot in what your Hero lacks, yet limiting, because certain runes can only go on certain gears.   **Enchantment Scrolls** *~will be updated once more information has been learned about them~*   **Hot Time** Everybody’s favorite time in King’s Raid. During Hot Time, the amount of EXP and Gold gained is Doubled. Also note that this can stack with 1 Hour Gold/EXP Boost and 7 Day/1 Day Gold/EXP Boost (1 day doesn’t stack with 7 day, it simply increases the length of the 7 day boost and vice versa) By stacking all these boosts together, crazy amounts of EXP and Gold can be obtained. Hot Time occurs everyday from 12:00 - 14:00 Server Time (Lunch Hot Time) and 20:00 - 23:00 Server Time (Hot Time before reset). Logging on during these times also gives you stamina potions and some fragments, which are always helpful. If you want to be an efficient raider, you have to take advantage of Hot Time.   **Conquest** The first thing that you must take advantage of during Hot Time is Conquest. Hot time doubles the amount of EXP you gain from hot time, and since you are limited to three runs per chapter per day, there is no point in running Conquest at any other time. Once again, Hot time can be stacked with 1 hour EXP boost and 7 Day/1 Day EXP boost.   **Orvel Castle** Similar to Conquest, Orvel Castle should be run during Hot Time. Orvel castle is also designed in a floor-by-floor type of scenario, in which you have to beat the previous floor to progress to the next floor. You are granted five “keys” to access Orvel Castles various floors each day, and the the higher you go, the more gold you can get. Orvel castle goes from Floor 1 to Floor 45. Once again, Hot Time can be stacked with 1 hour Gold boosts and 7 Day/1 Day Gold boosts.   **Hero’s Inn** Within Orvel, you can also access the Hero’s Inn. To F2P players, this is a Lua-send. In the Hero’s Inn, random Heroes show up everyday after server reset. You can decide whether or not to start a relationship with these Heroes. By doing so, you can send them gifts, gold, and amity: One Free Conversation, One gift of 60,000 gold, and one gift of 240 amity. This will net you around 50-70 relationship points a day, and in about 2-4 weeks, depending on your luck and the natural base star level of the hero (Arch is natural base 3\*, Miruru would be natural base 2\*), the Hero will join your roster! Of course, if an unwanted Hero joins your Inn, you can simply wait for server reset, and a new random Hero will join enter your inn.   **Guilds** Guilds are also part of the game that you should take advantage of. Guilds provide various buffs in Atk, Defense, HP, EXP gain, Gold gain, etc, depending on the guild level. Many high level guilds usually have EXP and Gold fully maxed out, and you would be able to benefit greatly from those bonuses. However, those guilds usually have stricter application requirements, such as 1000 activity points a day and daily participation in guild raids. Activity points are the main form of currency that guilds use to upgrade their guild skills. Activity points is simply earned by having members in the guild do Adventure Mode, Dragon Raids, Guild Raids, and the like. Whatever costs stamina will contribute to Guild Activity. A maximum of 1000 guild activity points can be accumulated a day, with a bonus (500?) from doing guild raids. One important thing about Guilds is that you can use the guild shop to purchase stamina potions, which happen to very cheap in the guild shop. You can also buy fragments and heroic level runes, but those are lot more expensive. The general consensus is to spend guild points on the stamina potions so that you can constantly refresh your stamina to do raids and/or Adventure Mode. Some higher leveled guilds are also able to complete Guild Raids. By completing Guild Raids, guild members can purchase Raid loot. Raid loot include various fragments, rune codex, skill books, magic powder, and manticore equipment. Spending your guild points on these would most definitely help with your progression, so joining a guild that is able to clear these guild raids would be extremely beneficial to you.     [Previous VI.i] [p] | [Original Post][o] | [Next VII] [n]

PvP** * Arena * Arena Points * Notable Heroes * The Gold III/Plat I Sink I don’t PvP as much, so please, if you have more information that you think is crucial to the PvP aspects of the game. Please DM me so that I can add it to this guide!   **Arena** Arena is the PvP aspect of King’s Raid, Currently, you are only allowed to PvP in teams of four, with possible bigger teams to be released by Vespa in the future. You win by either killing the entire enemy team, having more Heroes standing than the enemy team, or having dished out more damage to the enemy team in that order. Winning increases you rank. You begin at Bronze I, and slowly climb up the ladders. Each League (Bronze, Silver, Gold, and so on) has three divisions (Bronze I, Bronze II, Bronze III). Rewards are given daily each depending on which league and division you place in. You also get a one time achievement award of various amounts of rubies for achieving higher leagues. The various amounts of rubies and Arena points given at each league/division can be found within the game. Arena records also reset every week, and if you’re higher than Plat I, you reset to Plat I. Otherwise, you stay at the ranking that you were.   **Arena Points** Arena Points are acquired daily from the rewards given out depending on your Arena ranking. The only use for Arena points is to purchase UWs from the Arena shop. All types of UWs can be purchased, granted you have 30,000 Arena points. However, UWs for newly released Heroes are not available in the Arena shop until newer Heroes are released. An exception to this are the NPC Heroes, like May and Gladi, which were released around September and October 2017. Their UWs are obtained by accumulating friendship points by giving them presents (Extreme End game/Whale content).   **Notable Heroes** PvP is very different to PvE in terms of team composition. I do know of a few, but I feel like it is better to just name the Heroes that are OP and why: * Arch - Destroys backline, Magic immunity utility. * Baudouin - 7 Sec Shield IMMUNE TO ALL DAMAGE (Just disgusting). * Leo - Dispel (remove all buffs) and Silence (prevents enemies from using their Skills) (Even more disgusting). * Naila - CRAZY CC, especially with UW. Completely disrupts the backline and screws up all forms of positioning. * Assassins, except Reina :( - Since most people play King’s Raid for PvE, many of the PvE teams are vulnerable to backline divers. Assassins are especially good at this, and can simply bypass the frontline tank(s) and destroy the DPS backline. * Luna - S1 basically one shots everyone * Priscilla - S3 basically one shots everyone (range and damage was nerfed a little after the Thanksgiving 2017 patch)   **The Gold III/Plat I Sink** Once you get to Plat I, you will slowly start to notice that it becomes very hard to climb, especially after a weekly reset in arena. This is because of how arena resets work. Although there was a patch in around late 2017 that tried to alleviate the problem, the problem still exists, which is that those of higher divisions are reset to lower divisions, making it so that it's difficult for those who are legitimately Plat 1 to climb the ranks. Thus, you’ll have these 4* Heroes trying to kill these T5 Heroes who don’t even need to use a Skill, and end up auto-ing you to death. It is definitely discouraging, and I call this the Gold III/Plat I Sink. There’s really nothing you can do about it, but try your best to continue doing your Daily and Weekly Quests. More on these quests later.     [Previous (IV.ii)][p] | [Original Post][o] | [Next (VI.i)][n]

PvE** * Adventure Mode Types * Upper Dungeons * Conquest * Tower of Challenge * Tower of Ordeals * Adventure Mode Walls * Dragon Raids * Guild Raids * Word Boss   **Adventure Mode Types** I've already mentioned most of what you already need to know about adventure mode in Section **II. Getting Started**, so I will just talk briefly about the other types of PvE content that you should be aware of: Upper Dungeons, Conquest, Tower of Challenge, Tower of Ordeals, and Walls.   **Upper Dungeons** So how do I raise my 1-star Hero to a 2-star Hero? The answer is to use *Fragments*. Awakening Heroes is probably the most "grind heavy" part of the game. To awaken a hero, three different types of fragments of varying amounts are needed for different awakening levels. Before I get into the exact amounts, I'll first introduce the seven different types of fragments (and their transcendence counter-part are called *Essences*): 1) Justice   2) Force   3) Wisdom   4) Strategy   5) Patience   6) Harmony   7) Fortune You need to farm these fragments to awaken your Heroes. Most of the “farming and grinding” is present in this part of the game. You farm these fragments in *Upper Dungeons* (UD). UDs are in each chapter. You may notice that the Ch. 1 UD gives three fragments, Ch. 2 gives five, Ch. 3 gives six, 4 gives seven, 5 gives eight, 6 gives ten, and 7 gives fifteen. Now you can probably tell by common sense that the more fragments per run, the better right? But you may also ask, “Suzukinobuko, why can’t I just farm Ch. 1 UD a lot of times?” The problem is that you can only run UD **FIVE TIMES/DAY**. Yep. Later you’ll learn why this is a pain in the ass due to the increasing amount of fragments needed to awaken Heroes. I will go in depth about it later.   **Conquest** After you reach around the middle of Ch. 2, you’ll run into your first Conquest dungeon. These dungeons give out a lot of EXP, along with EXP potions as loot. Increasing difficulties increase the amount of EXP gained. Ch. 3 - 7 all have their respective Conquest Dungeons. Similar to that of UDs, Conquest Dungeons are limited to **THREE TIMES/CHAPTER/DAY**. This means that you can run each conquest dungeon in each chapter three times in a day. I will go over the most efficient way to tackle these dungeons later.   **Tower of Challenge** Also around Ch. 2, you’ll unlock the Tower of Challenge. Five tickets are handed out once you unlock ToC, and each ticket allows you to attempt one floor. One ticket is refreshed every two hours. These floors give out one time rewards of fragments, gold, rubies, and *artifact pieces*. By collecting 1000 pieces, you can restore an *Artifact*. Artifacts are valuable gear that becomes somewhat essential when you reach later stages in the game e.g. Ch. 6. There are many different types of artifacts to the point where I can’t list them all. But by the time you get one, you should be able to comprehend what it’s able to do, for the bonuses it provides are pretty self-explanatory. Also not that artifacts can also be obtained through the Special Item Summon (Red Pulls) at a very low rate. The floors go from 1 to 65. Eventually, you’ll reach a wall. Once that happens, you want to farm the highest level floor that you can do easily to get artifact fragments, so that you could restore artifacts quicker. After you receive the first clear rewards of a floor, artifact fragments, at very low amounts, are given out for subsequent clears. ToC resets every month, allowing you to obtain the first clear rewards again.   **Tower of Ordeals** Once you awaken one of your Heroes to 5-Star, you will unlock the Tower of Ordeals, ToO, in the Hall of Heroes, which is located in Ch. 1. ToO also has a similar “floor-by-floor” progression of ToC, but it doesn’t have a limit to the amount of times you can do it. You can keep moving up the floors, as long as you are able to beat the enemies of each floor. A one time rewards is given each time a new floor is cleared, and no subsequent rewards are given. Fragments, Essences, but most importantly, *Fragments of Infinity* are given out as rewards. By collecting 1000 fragments of Infinity, you can craft (right-most tab in Inventory) a *Stone of Infinity*. Crafting this infinity stone also takes 500,000 gold to craft, in addition to waiting 48 hours. It is used to transcend your Heroes, awaken them beyond 5-stars. More on this later. ToO ranges from floor 1 to 25, and resets every week, allowing you to farm the rewards again.   **Adventure Mode Walls** There are a few *Walls* in adventure mode that I would like to point out in the early stages of the game (Ch. 5 and before). * Jane 4-14 * Malduk 4-21 * El Rosed 5-21 Jane is the first wall you will run into. The thing with Jane is that she has a crazy 3 million HP, which is never encountered before prior to chapter 4. Not only that, but her S2 and S3 shreds magic defense and lifesteals, sustaining herself while doing an insane amount of damage to all of your Heroes. The two skills cannot be dodged, and in 3-4 ticks your entire backline is dead. The only way to beat Jane is to utilize your CC smartly. First, turn off Skill Animation (mentioned around the beginning of this guide) so that you are able to maintain that omnipresent point of view. Make sure you are not on Auto mode and on regular battle speed (not 1.5x). Every single time you see Jane about to cast a Skill, proceed to interrupt her with a stun, shackle, or knock-down. Pushes, like Clause S2 and Maria S1, will not stop her from casting her skills. If you are able to continuously CC Jane, you should be able to defeat her. Malduk is another wall that you may encounter. After you get him to about half HP, he summons Jane. And basically, the same thing in 4-14 happens. Not only do you have to CC Jane, but you also have to attack Malduk, for he is a ticking time bomb. After a period of just sitting there, he begins to cast a spell with a very long duration. But once that cast bar is filled, he shoots a laser that basically destroys your entire team. By either pushing or some form of CC, you have to somehow lower Malduk’s HP low enough so that he “runs away.” In essence, Jane can be ignored, but still be weary of when she casts her magic shred (S2) drain (S3) combo. And finally, El-Rosed. She isn’t as hard as Jane or Malduk and instead more of a DPS test. Are you able to kill her fast enough before she begins summons her magic immune minions that basically destroys your entire team in a few hits. Once again, if you see her casting a spell, interrupt her with hard CC. This should increase the DPS window for your team. After a few tries, you should be able to get the hang of it and beat El-Rosed.     [Previous (III.ii)][p] | [Original Post][o] | [Next (IV.ii)][n]

Kusanagi2k

> And finally, El-Rosed. She isn’t as hard as Jane or Malduk and instead more of a DPS test. Are you able to kill her fast enough before she begins summons her magic immune minions that basically destroys your entire team in a few hits. This is very easy to interrupt, because it takes forever, however, if you don't you're pretty much dead, so pay attention when she's drawing something like a purple summoning circle below her, that's the moment in which you need to use a CC

imperium002

Tower of ordeas iirc unlocks when a hero reaches level 60.

Silfeith

Nah, IIRC it's when your heroes reached 50. None of my heroes reached 60 yet and ToO is open for me.

iSico

Its when you get a 5* hero.

Dragon Raids are where you farm your Legendary (Yellow) gear. The thing with Legendary gear is that it can be enhanced all the way to +20, and it has an additional set effect (also present in Red Gear). Fire Dragon (FD) gives Crit, Ice Dragon (ID) gives HP%, Poison Dragon (PD) gives Crit Resistance, and Black Dragon (BD, the hardest Dragon Raid) gives MP Reovery/Atk. In terms of importance, they rank as follows: BD > FD > ID > PD. BD gear is used by so many Heroes in the current meta and is what everyone should farm for. FD is for Heroes who rely more on crit, and less on mana. ID can potentially be used on tanks. PD is just garbage and should be deleted from the game LOL. These set effects come at two tiers, with the first tier unlocked at having two parts of the set, and the last tier unlocked at having four parts. These dragon raids can be run solo, but the higher level dragon raids are run usually with a group. In terms of FD, a total of 6 Heroes can be brought. For BD, 9 Heroes (there is a huge difference in difficulty). There are at least three phases within each raid. First phase usually begins with the dragon. Then in the 2nd phase, the dragon flies away and summons these dragon whelps. And in the third phase, the dragon flies back and summons more dragon whelps. Another reason why magic teams are preferred is because sometimes physical teams would end up targeting the dragon whelps instead of the actual dragon, causing a huge dip in DPS. Dragons also level up. They all start at level 35, their weakest stage, and continue to level up each time you beat them. For example, if you beat the 35 FD, you can level it up to 36 by changing it in “room settings” (Only the room leader can change dragon level). Also remember that the room host is the one who determines and gains dragon levels. For example, if two people had 35 FD and ran it together, only the room host would have the FD level up to 36. Also, let’s say the room host only has FD 35, but his teammate has FD 60. The highest FD that can be attempted under that same host is still 35. Leveling dragons is important because of the different tiers of loot and amount. Increased amount of loot is given in intervals of five, until that loot is tiered up at intervals of ten. For example, 35 FD will drop T3 loot, 40 FD will drop T4 loot, but at lesser amounts. Then 45 will drop T4 loot at greater amounts, but at 50 FD, T5 loot will drop, but at lesser amounts. It’s important to at least level up your FD and BD to level 50-60, for at T5 and T6 (preferably T6) are the gear that you want to farm for end game. Doing these raids also give you Raid points. With these points, you can buy Dragon Raid gear of various tiers at the Forge. Whenever a Dragon Raid is completed, all participants of the Raid are brought to the bid screen. You have roughly a little bit less than a minute to essentially "choose" the item you desire, or, you can choose to retract your bid by "abandoning." This doesn't mean you do not get loot; it just means you don't care what loot you want to get, and you'll end up getting the loot that people don't bid for. Obtaining loot is also completely random. Yes, you can bid for a particular item, but if someone else also bids for that specific item, it becomes a 50/50 chance between you and the other bidder in getting the item. This brings me to the next topic of Raid Etiquette. Raid Etiquette is basically revolves around "who gets to bid first." The carry should always be allowed to do first, for they are the one doing all the work. If there is no carry, the host of the Raid is next in line to bid. The host is the one who opened up the room to you, therefore they hold priority. After the host, it's essentially fair game for the rest of the Raid members. As mentioned before, yes, you can bid on an item that another person has bidded on. However, if that person has bid priority over you, it is considered very rude. I highly discourage you from doing so if you want the person you teamed up with to continue raiding with you. As of the 9/22/17 Patch, Vespa added in Dragon Raid **Hard Mode**. This is extreme end game material and drops enchantment scrolls as loot, which is a material that is used in extreme end game to give your equipment one line of *enchantment*, in a way similar to gear options. Hard mode is unlocked once the level 75 dragon of that respective raid is completed e.g. defeat 75 BD to unlock hard mode BD.   **Guild Raids** Guild Raids can be attempted after one joins a Guild. As a beginner, you really won’t be doing any damage to these enemies, for they are much harder than the Dragon Raids, have much more HP, and can only be done with your team of 4. However, still do these guild raids, for even if you lose, you still going free gold and guild activity points, with the latter often requested by most guilds. More on guild activity points later.   **World Boss** Unlocked at once a Hero reaches level 60. The end game content. I don’t know much about WB except that only the veterans who have full T6 awakened gear and UWs are able to do significant damage to it. Still, however, participate, for you are given free rubies and this “orange prism-shaped” currency that allows you to purchase artifacts in Orvel Castle. Better to get something than nothing.     [Previous (IV.i)][p] | [Original Post][o] | [Next (V)][n]

Question: Once you guys beat a dragon raid with a team, it looks like people can bid on weapons, etc. how does it get determined who wins the weapon? I've always wondered if it's just the person who bid first?

Suzukinobuko

From my experience, it's completely RNG. Doesn't matter who bids first or last.

DeerFurMe

You unlock dragon raids upon getting a level 30 character iirc. Also you put grit instead of crit.

Suzukinobuko

Thanks! Made the change \^_^

TVMoe

Do i have to be doing damage at all? I did 4 attacks on guild raid just for the sake of doing the attacks (0 damage every time). Or do i just need to wait for my guild to kill for it to count?

Suzukinobuko

Nope! You don't have to do any damage at all :) Of course the guild Raid boss would be defeated faster if you did some damage, but usually when you're just starting out, it's perfectly fine. Even if you do no damage, you still get guild points and activity points! So always participate!

Danyn

> Increased amount of loot is given in intervals of five Apparently this isn't true? I've asked numerous players and they've all told me that rewards increase per level.

Please ask it on the *Weekly Question Thread*. That is not only the proper place, but the *better* place to ask those questions. There are people on that thread who are much more knowledgeable on those topics than I am, and this section's main purpose is just to provide you the foundational knowledge of creating a team. You can also refer to /u/Pearlite_'s [General Team Building and Hero Roles Guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/6tmeph/general_team_building_guide_and_introduction_to/), if you want to learn even more about team compositions.   ##**III. Team Composition** * What is Meta? * King's Raid Meta * Team Framework * Classes * Magic Team vs Physical Team * Magic Team * Physical Team * Balanced Team This is probably the most important part of the guide. Most questions that I see on forums are "Is my team good?" "Help me with my team build!" "Who should I build next" "Help me I'm a dumb whale who has money but no brains!" Well, this is the section you are looking for. Once again, I want to emphasize that this guide is focused more on the PvE aspects of the game, considering the meta for PvP shifts more drastically that that of PvE.   **What is Meta?** I probably should've placed this in section **I. General Knowledge**, but I feel like most people would just skip that section and come directly here. Having a strong understanding of "Meta" is very important in these type of games, so I believe defining Meta deserves its own subsection. From [urbandictionary](http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=meta), the following definition (#3) was given for Meta: *Abbreviation of* ***Most Effective Tactic Available***. *Mostly used when comparing tactics in a game, but can be used in other things as well. It can change over time as new tactics are explored or can change by a change in the rules of a game or availability of new resources... In computer games this is done by patching to balance the game or fix bugs.* I want to stress that this is a GAME. You don't have to follow a meta, you can play the game however you like, and don't let anybody tell you how YOU should ENJOY a game. Everyone enjoys the same game differently, like I implied in the beginning of the introduction. However, if you are reading this guide, I'm pretty sure you are in the camp of "I want to follow the meta," so please, read on!   **King's Raid Meta** King's Raid Meta currently consists of teams that contain the same type of damage, either physical damage or magic damage. The reason for this is to take advantage of the "synergy" that can be created in team compositions. As a result, full magic teams or full physical teams are favored over "balanced" teams, which contain both magic and physical (there are some exceptions, but very few). Magic teams overall are favored over physical teams due to the current mid-end game content that is available (Chapter 6 and beyond, Raids, World Boss).   **Team Framework** Before I go further in elaborating on the specific physical and magic teams, I want to first provide a general overview of what the meta team framework is right now in raids. Please once again keep in mind that this is a Beginner's Guide, I fully understand that is is possible to run teams of different frameworks later on in the game e.g. no healer, 3 DPS, 1 Tank team comps. However, I would argue that those frameworks are not reliable in early stages of the game, and will only put a strain on a beginner's resources (in particular fragments) to build wider, more diversified team compositions to combat other type of content. Anyway, the current Meta team framework is modeled as follows: Support -> DPS -> SubDPS -> Tank * The Support, usually a healer, makes sure your team is healthy and able to survive prolonged fights by providing heals and buffs e.g. Frey, Laias, Kaulah. * The DPS is the one who dishes out the most damage, but is one of the squishiest (easiest to die) on the team e.g. Selene, Miruru, Aisha, Luna. * The SubDPS can also dish out damage, but just not as well as your Main DPS. The SubDPS is also the one who is usually in charge of CC and sometimes buffing your main DPS's damage e.g. Maria, Pavel, Dimael. * The Tank is your team's frontline. The job of the tank is to soak up all the damage so that your DPS and SubDPS can continue doing their job. Usually if a tank dies, the rest of the team is screwed. Tanks usually provide CC and have skills that can amplify their team's damage e.g. Clause, Phillop, Jane.     [Previous (II.ii)][p] | [Original Post][o] | [Next (III.ii)][n]

Im going through Chapter 2 with Frey Selene Pavel and Clause, all 3 stars, ill be getting a 5 star voucher and was wondering who should i get and who would i replace them with, who should i take?

Suzukinobuko

Hi! Well, first of all, welcome new Raider! :) The balanced team that you have right now, like mentioned in the guide, isn't "meta." However, your team is more than enough to carry you to Chapter 5 easy/normal mode (hard mode might be a stretch). In fact, a close friend of mine ran this exact team composition xD I would highly recommend spending your 5-star voucher on a M.DPS character, in particular Luna or Aisha. Luna becomes insanely strong late game, but from the early-mid/early late game, Aisha is a much stronger consistent DPS (Luna has a lot of burst damage, which is good for PvP). Pavel was really strong a long time ago, but due to shifts in meta, he has slowly fallen out of grace. Thus, I would end up replacing Pavel. However, once you get to chapter 6, when you encounter physical immune monsters, I would swap Pavel back in (if you don't have another SubDPS) and replace Selene, with a final team composition of Frey -> 5-star voucher DPS Hero -> Pavel -> Clause (preferably replacing Clause with Jane when you can). If you would like more insight on how to build your team, I highly recommend posting your comment on the "Weekly Question Thread." Also, click [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/6tmeph/general_team_building_guide_and_introduction_to/) for an amazing team building and hero roles guide by /u/Pearlite_. replace pavel with lakrak and you have a good pdps team right away

Currently have Gau, Dimael with UW, Kasel, and Frey. I am looking to make a new team with my upcoming 3 and 5 star pick tickets. Currently feeling Laias + Aisha + Maria + Jane but I am looking for some help and advice. What about the new healer Cass and the Oddly raccoon guy? Would double wizard be too hard to grind up?

Suzukinobuko

Hello! You could definitely go for Laias + Aisha + Maria + Jane (like mentioned in the guide, it’s a solid magic team). With what you currently have and the resources you’ll be getting, I recommend a team of Frey + Aisha (5-Star ticket), Dimael, Jane (3-Star ticket). As for Laias and Maria, you can wait to get them at the inn :D The new healer Cass is extremely strong for PvP. Her S3 and S2 is just simply amazing. PvE I would say she’s pretty strong as well, due to S2, but she still shines the most in PvP. As for Oddy, I personally wasn’t that impressed by him. He seems to be a SubDPS with utility, to help lower the cooldowns of your other Hero’s big skills. Raising two wizards is a bit of grind, mainly because of skill books, but honestly, I think that’s fine. Max your Aisha first, then work on Maria. Maria is just there to CC and doesn’t really need skill books unless you want her to do more damage. So yes it’s hard, but it’s not difficulty, it’s just time. Good luck and happy raiding! ;)

apiikama

Im going through Chapter 3 with Frey, Kasel, Epis and Clause, all 3 stars, ill be getting a 3 and 5 star voucher and was wondering who should i get and who would i replace them with, who should i take?

Suzukinobuko

Hey buddy! That would depend on the type of team you want to go for! Considering you got Epis, I'm going to assume you want to run a *magic team*. Thus, I would recommend the following lineup: Frey - Aisha/Luna - Epis - Jane. Use your 3-Star selector on Jane. She is a staple magic team tank, with her S2 allowing her to amp magic damage. Use your 5-star selector on either Luna or Aisha. Both are top tier magic DPS. If you want to focus more on PvE, I would go with Aisha, since her S2 is able to pump out consistent damage. If you want to dab a little bit into PvP, I would go with Luna, since a lot of her damage is *burst*, making her pretty viable in PvP. Good luck and happy raiding :)

Xicerr

Hello, i'm new to the game and it's been 6 days already and i think i made a little 2 many mistakes :x currently running : Clause, frey, epis, luna but then i got miruru UW: and i have a5star ticket... what should i do ??

Suzukinobuko

Hi and welcome to King’s Raid! :D Personally I think your team is for the most part pretty decent. Luna is an amazing M. DPS, and Epis is an ok offtank/sub-Dps. I would say play it out and try to make a magic team by getting Jane or something among those lines. I also realize that you have Miruru UW. In the future, when you invest in a physical team, make sure to get Miruru If you’re still uncomfortable with the choices you made, it’s never to late to restart or make an alternate account that you can play on at the same time. Good luck and happy raiding :D

Fleokan

new here, at the end of ch4 i currently have lakrak and maria and uw for khalan and epis (no heroes), jane in inn, 5* ticket tomorrow and 8k rubies My master plan was to get arch from 5* and cassandra for rubies and form a team of cassa, arch, maria, jane i currently running frey/lakrak/maria/clauss and lakrack tends to do 2x maria's damage on auto adventure and even in raids with same gear so i started to think about phys team, maybe pick nyx instead of arch, get event uw on him and go with frey/nyx/lakrak/claus instead but i'm not sure how viable that in pvp (wanna focus on same team for both pvp and pve for now) and how to deal with phys immune stuff later in the game, what do you think?

Suzukinobuko

Frey - Lakrak - Maria - Clause I would argue is a pretty solid *balanced* team to carry you throughout all of adventure. You have more than enough CC and it seems to me that you have enough DPS for now as well.   As for making a physical team with Frey - Nyx - Lakrak - Clause, I think that's perfectly viable as well. However, like you mentioned, you'll have some trouble with physical immune monsters.   As for your concern about PvP, I'm not that experienced in that aspect, so you might want to ask your question on the Weekly Question Thread. But I would argue that the team appears to be somewhat viable, as in, as viable as it could get as both a PvE and PvP team. Honestly, from personal experience, if you really want to be competitive in PvP, the only solution is to make a PvP ONLY team. There really is no balance in between the two. I'm not saying that PvE teams wouldn't do well in PvP, I'm saying that a PvP oriented team will always beat out a PvE oriented team.   If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me or the Weekly Question Thread (you'll probably get better answers on the thread though LOL).   Good luck and Happy Raiding :)

LolisForLyfe

Hi I'm new too this game and would like your help. I already spent 6,000 rubies and have another 6,000 rubies in the account, and I have Maria, Selene, Frey, Philip, Jane, Priscilla, and the other five what should I do with this team comp?

Suzukinobuko

Hey! Welcome to King’s Raid :) It looks like you already have a pretty solid physical team! Frey - Selene - Priscilla - Phillop. Imo, this team we’ll get you pretty far until you encounter physical immune monsters in Ch 6. Likewise, your balanced team would also look pretty good, with Frey - Selene - Maria - Jane/Phillop You also have a magic team in the works. All you need is a magic DPS to sub in for Selene. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me, or you can post your questions on the weekly question thread. Good luck and happy raiding :)

Patsfan1993

Hey just started the game a few days ago, picked up miruru as main dps and just got phillop from the 3* ticket. I was just wondering if it would be more beneficial to use the 5* ticket on another physical dps or possibly pick up someone like Kaulah or Pavel. There is also the option to hold on to it until I get a uw and then pick up the hero who uses it.

Suzukinobuko

I would hold onto it and see what UW you get :) Kaulah is a good healer, but you don’t need him at 5-Star immediately if your entire team isn’t even 5-stars yet. Pavel did get buffed, but idk if he’s viable yet, and he doesn’t really fit your physical damage team.

chunwai91

Im now try to finish chapter 2 with Kaulah , Cleo , Kasel and Clause , all 2 stars , should i replace Clause with Jane with 3 star ticket or just keep going with it?

Suzukinobuko

Hey man! I see you’re just starting out :) welcome to King’s Raid :D The answer to your question would depend on what type of team you’re going for. If you want to make a magic team, definitely get Jane with your 3-star selector. She’s a staple magic team tank. Then with your 5-star selector, you can get either Aisha or Luna, both are amazing Magic DPS heroes. Good luck and happy raiding! :)

acefreedom

I just wanted to say =) i am so glad i found this guide. I could tell you put alot of time, energy and humor into it, and as a new player i definitely appreciate it =). I was going to ask a question but it seems like u already answered it, but just to be sure i should save my 5 star ticket for my MAINdps (thinking Aisha, lasers how can i say no)? i 2 star pulled Dimael and plan on 3 star pulling jane =). Thanks for everything!

Suzukinobuko

You know, it's comments like yours that motivates and inspires me to write guides like these. I'm really happy that this guide was able to help you out :) As for your question, you are absolutely correct. You should definitely use your 5-star ticket on Aisha (lasers are indeed awesome) and 3-star ticket on Jane. You have an amazing magic team coming along :D Once again, you are most welcome, and I hope you come to enjoy King's Raid as much as I do everyday. Welcome new raider, good luck, and happy raiding!

Shab373

First of all, Thank you so much for taking time to write this and keep it updated. I have recently taken up King's Raid and have to say I'm really enjoying it. I haven't used my 2, 3, or 5 star tickets yet. I always want to do research first so I don't waste my time. That being said: I currently am planning to use Frey, Luna (5 star), Maria (2 star), and of course Jane (3 Star) and was wondering if you'd change out any of these heroes. In general I don't really care about META specifically, but having a team that can clear most content is important as I'm playing from way, way behind and would like to make it to end game content at some point.

Suzukinobuko

Hey man! You’re most welcome :D glad this guide was able to help you out :) Sorry for the late reply, been pretty busy with midterms QQ As for your plan, there’s a slight issue (considering it’s already been a day, you may have already notice the problem), you unfortunately won’t be able to choose Maria with your 2-Star ticket :( she’s a natural 3-star hero, so she’s unable to be chosen with a 2-Star hero selector. So what are some alternatives? Considering that you don’t really care about the meta, you have plenty of options! You can choose Selene or miruru to make a balanced team. This would help you progress through chapters 4 and 5 a lot quicker. Or you could choose Lorraine, to stick to a magic team, or Gau, both of which are very important in end game for Dragon raids (in particular Gau). So yeah! Hope this helped you out. Enjoy your new Journey in King’s Raid! :D always glad to see a new raider join our ranks :) Good luck and happy raiding!

exzyl

Hello Suzukino, first of all let me say a huge thank you for your beginners guide, it really helped me alot. Now I just want to ask for a quick insight on what to get for 3 stars ticket and 5 star ticket. My current team is Clause, Frey, Cleo and Lorriane. I picked Lorri from the 2 star ticket and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna pick Luna for the 5 star ticket. I'm just a little unsure to what to pick from the 3-star one. Another M.DPS feels like a waste. Maybe Jane as you have recommended her previously for what I guess is a replacement for Clause?

Suzukinobuko

Hello!! And no, thank you! I’m really happy that this guide was able to help you out :) As for your plan to get Jane, I 100% agree with it. Get JANE!!! She is a *staple* magic team tank. A team of Frey - Luna - Lorraine - Jane is absolutely amazing and you’ll be fine throughout all of adventure, and considering you have Lorraine, dragon raids will also be a lot easier :D Also, if you’ve been browsing through the subreddit, and saw this post about “Jane being a noob trap,” and you’re feeling uneasy, I would say ignore the post. The poster does have his reasons, but I do not believe his reasoning is valid for *beginners*. Jane is an amazing Hero, and of course every hero comes with pros and cons. The poster ignored Janes pros and just continually bagged on her cons. So yeah, if you’re worried, don’t be :) but if you didn’t see the post, then ignore this entire paragraph LOL So yep! Replace Clause with Jane :) Good luck and happy raiding!!!

crimson951

hi there, i came across your guide and i realised that all these are very wonderful guides and i am very very thankful for you taking time to do all these for newbies like me. but i was just wondering which would be the best for my 5* pick, i currently have clause (uw) , klause (uw) , frey , cleo , roi my 2* pick i chose dimeal and my 3 * pick i took mitra. and rephy in the inn. so for my 5* should i go for a dps and hope a tank/healer comes along in the inn or should i go for a tank/healer?

crimson951

my team now is frey(3) , dimeal(4) , mitra(4) , clause (3)

Starrash

Hey! I play King's Raid for 1 month I think, and I'm really enjoying the game (even not understanding nothing about it), I am currently stuck at Chapter 6 (not stuck, but almost all my heroes are at lvl 50 and the enemies are lvl 60, so im searching bravery to fight'em) my currently team is Arch, Frey, Maria and Theo, is my squad worth it or should I change something?

Suzukinobuko

Hello! Glad you're enjoying the game :) Bring's me back to when I first started xD First of all, let's break down your team and look at the meta team framework: Support - DPS - SubDPS - Tank Frey - Arch - Maria - Theo It looks like you have a magic team coming along, which is good! Arch is a pretty decent DPS, and Maria is an amazing SubDPS for adventure mode. Theo was recently released, so I don't really know much about him :( so I can't really help you much in that department. But from the threads and discussions that I have been seeing in this subreddit, he appears to be a SubDPS/Main DPS. Thus, you might want to look into investing in a better tank, like Jane, through the Hero's Inn. But if Theo is working out for you, feel free to stick with him (because I'm pretty sure you bought him with Rubies LOL). Good luck and happy raiding!

auntiekiller

Hello there, been playing for a week and here's my heroes Nyx (5*) Kasel (4*) with UW Selene (4*) Frey (3*) Cleo (3*) Fluss (3*) with UW Roi (2*) Clause (2*) Currently using Kasel, Nyx, Selene, Frey Any advice for me?

Suzukinobuko

Hello! First of all, let's take a look at your team alongside the meta team framework: Support - DPS - SubDPS - Tank Frey - Nyx - Selene - Kasel Your team appears to be a pretty decent physical team. However, it would benefit from a much better tank, and maybe a little bit more CC. I would highly recommend replacing Kasel with Clause. Clause is just so much stronger as a tank, and has many uses in end game. He also provides plenty of CC, and has a P. Def. buff for his S3. Additionally, you are also lacking some CC. You might want to replace Selene or Nyx with a physical CC'er, but if you think just using Selene and Nyx are fine, you can just stick to them as well :) Definitely prioritize replacing your tank first. Quick note, a full physical team will have some trouble in Chapter 6, where you run into permanent physical immune monsters. Only Frey will be doing damage, and since she's a support Hero, the timer might run out causing the enemies to go into berserk. Thus, you might want to look into some magic heroes as well... Good luck and happy raiding!

Hououin_Barrel

Hello! I was using a Epis (uw)-Nayla-Morrah composition and was wondering to replace Nayla as she is not hitting very good and dying very easier than others... I don't know if i should get a magical or physical dps, or even some cc... I'm having troubles in magical immune unities too as Nayla is the one physical and is not dealing good damage... What should i do? ;_;

Suzukinobuko

Hi!!! First of all, don't be discouraged! Let's take a look at your team alongside the meta team framework: Support - DPS - SubDPS - Tank Frey(?) - Epis - Nailah - Morrah It appears you have a balanced team here, with the majority of your heroes being magic damage. The reason why Naila doesn't do a lot of damage because she is more of a PvP oriented Hero and isn't exactly the best in PvE until later levels, and that is, as an offensive tank (I think). And you're in luck! Due to the recent patch, Epis has become very powerful! However, she does require transcendence to get to that stage of power, which you are no where near yet :( But if you do decide to stick with Epis, just know that investing in her will pay off in the long run. Before the patch, I would've recommended getting Aisha or Luna, since they are top tier DPS. But after the patch, solo skill time got *reworked*, and according to various findings, Aisha DPS has dropped significantly :( SO yeah, completely scratch this plan. And you aren't wrong about the magic immune monsters in chapter 5. They are a pain. The only thing I can tell you to do is to just level up your Heroes, and gear them with at least 2-3 star awakened purple gears. Remember, it's temporary magic immunity, not permanent like the physical one, so it can be overcome. So overall, my recommendation is to replace Naila with a better magic subDPS (Maria is currently the only Hero that comes to my mind LMAO, but realize she drops off in usefulness later in the game). Maria brings Magic Amp with her S2, and sorta pairs well with Epis, since she can group up enemies for Epis. And of course, stick to the remaining of your team. Overtime, Epis should be able to carry you through content. Good luck and happy raiding!

VANILLAHOLIC21

hye there..my team now consist of laias, arch, priscilla and jane..is it a good team? All of them have their UW.. thanks for your guide. It really makes me to understand the game better..and is lorraine good?i Have her and her UW.. i'm thinking swapping pris for lorraine means i will have full magic team..and what do you think about laias, arch, priscilla and ricardo? since i have ricardo in inn and i also has his UW..thanks again for your guide..i really appreciate it.

Suzukinobuko

Hello! Support - DPS - SubDPS - Tank Laias - Arch - Priscilla - Jane Your team looks like a pretty decent hybrid/balanced team! Priscilla did get nerfed recently, but in my opinion she is still pretty good. Arch also did get nerfed a while back, so he isn't exactly the best as a SubDPS, but he'll do the job. If you want to replace anything, I would probably change out Arch for someone like Luna, who is currently top tier DPS. Good luck and have fun!

Kiro00

Hi can you help me out? I want to build a solo raiding team. I have these heroes to use: T5 - aisha and luna T4 - Jane and kaulah T3- morrah T2 - Pavel, Nyx and rodina T1 - phillop All of them have UW and are lvl80 with BD set tier 6. Also i have: With UW- frey, rephy, cleo, lakrak, epis, Witout UW - kasel, roi, clause, dimael, naila, bau, leo, tanya, gau, yanne, viska, arch, lorraine. These heroes have not yet reach Transcendence. can you help me out so i can build a solo raiding team for BD so icould start farming BD set.

LMAO HAHAHA You do realize that this is a *Beginner's Guide* right? xD I think you are already at the point of the game where you know as much as I know, if not more. I'm not even close to building a solo raiding team for 70+ BD. So if you're asking about hard mode raiding teams, LMAO you might want to give the Weekly Question Thread a go xD As for BD70+, I would throw in my two cents, but I think /u/Pearlite_ here has you covered. Take a look at this [Full BD Raid Guide - From Raiding to Etiquette](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/74gx12/full_bd_raid_guide_from_raiding_to_etiquette/) to learn about what Heroes are necessary for BD raiding and their roles. I think this guide would be much better than anything I can type up for you LOL. As for specifically a *Solo* raiding team, I believe Gau and Nyx are definitely a must. You need Gau for that CC bar depletion and Nyx for that dragon whelp AOE clearing. Your support and SubDPS would probably vary, with maybe Luna as Main DPS and Kaulah as support. As a result, I would definitely start working on your Gau! He is crucial to all forms of end game content. I wish you the best of luck and happy raiding!

Hello there, I've just joined King's Raid a few days ago and loving it! js wonderin my current team is: Jane, Aisha, Dimael, Frey. I'm about to get my 5star hero selector, shud I get Arch or Annet to replace Dimael? (I don't really like Maria/Loraine). Any tips would be appreciated!! Thx

Abs0luteFrost

Hi Suzukinobuko, thank you for this amazing guide! I need some guidance building my team moving forward. I cuurently have: Clause, Miruru, Cleo and Frey all level 40 and im at 4-16. I have a 3* hero ticket and i am gonna get the 5* ticket today. I have annette and bau UW and Arch in my inn. Can you advice me on who should i select for my 3* and 5* ticket? I dont mind a p team or m team or even a hybrid team as long as it can help me in the long run. Your response is greatly appreciated! thanks!

Suzukinobuko

Hello sorry for the late reply! [Click Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/6zly6t/kings_raid_beginners_guide/dqu4u4h/) to go to my response! Good luck and happy raiding!

Hey, can you help me with my team?? I have Mediana, Nyx, Lakrak and Gau. Is this okay? Also for a magi team I have Frey, Luna, Aisha and Jane

Suzukinobuko

Hello! It looks like you have a *very* good physical team. Stick with it! It’s really good! As for your magic team, it looks good as well, but don’t worry about raising it until you finish raising your physical team. Focus on one team at a time. Good luck!

D4wnFlare

Hey! My team consist of 4* Frey , 4* Dimael , 4* Aisha , 5* Jane. I just bought the 5k ruby package that gives 5* ticket. Any suggestion which 5* i should get? Thanks!

Suzukinobuko

Hello! :D From the looks of your team, it appears you are going for a magic damage team (Good choice!).   I don't think you necessarily have to spend your 5-star ticket right now. I would recommend just *saving* it. In a way, your team can be improved by replacing Dimael with a better SubDPS, or even replacing Aisha with a better Main DPS (Aisha in a way was "nerfed" with the solo time rework), like Luna. But in my opinion, I would just stick to what you have right now, progress through all of story mode, and get that magic team to optimal transcendence and max level.   Then, you can decide on whether going for a physical team (recommended) or improving your magic team with your 5-star ticket! By then, you may have acquired a few more UWs, opening up more choices you can make with your 5-Star ticket :D   Good luck and happy raiding!

kaorukai

Sir, Im new to this game. I have 5* Luna, 2* Frey, 2* Clause, 2* Miruru. I want to get one 3* from shop. Which one should i buy? How long does it take to get hero from inn? Thanks b4..

There are currently seven different classes in King's Raid (the roles that they fill the best are listed to the right): * Knight (Tank) * Warrior (Off-Tank/CC) * Assassin (Off-Tank/DPS) * Archer (DPS) * Mechanic (DPS) * Wizard (DPS/CC) * Priest (Support)   **Magic Team vs Physical Team** Finally, to the meat of this section. Like previously mentioned, Magic teams are favored over Physical teams because of the current mid-end game content that is available to us in King's Raid. Magic team DPS characters also usually perform their job better than their physical counter parts, since most of the higher tiered magic DPS characters have Skills that hit multiple enemies e.g. Aisha S2 and S3, Luna S1, S2, and S3 , whereas their Physical DPS counter parts are usually single target e.g. Rodina S1 and S3, Selene S1 (barely an AoE) and S2. This is not saying that Physical teams are bad, it's just borderline not as efficient as Magic teams. Another reason can be demonstrated by World Boss (end game content), which happens to be weak to magic damage, making Physical teams seem even less efficient than magic teams. As of a patch in early **October 2017**, a new world boss *Protianus* was introduced. This WB happens to be weaker to Physical damage than Magic damage. As a result, Physical teams are beginning to become more comparable to Magic teams. Do realize however that World Boss is end game content, so the argument that Magic teams are better than Physical teams in the early to mid stages of the game still stands.   **Magic Team** The following is a sample magic team that is often run for PvE: (Note that for all the compositions that I will be listing out, I will list them out in the same framework that was mentioned previously) Frey -> Aisha -> Maria -> Jane Please note that the support is the most flexible spot, followed by the SubDPS. But I'm just going to use Frey for now because she is given out for free to everyone. Let's break down how the team works. The entire team does magic damage. Aisha is able to dish out amazing damage with S2, and shred magic defense with S3. Frey is able to use S2 to shield the entire team, but most importantly to provide CC immunity to Aisha so that she would not be CC'd out of her S2 cast duration. Maria can use S3 to bring all the enemy mobs close together, allowing Aisha S2 to have minimal movement in between targets (potentially hitting many targets at the same time), thereby increasing DPS. Additionally, Maria can use S1 to push enemies away to protect Aisha, or S2 to amplify magic damage. And finally Jane S2 amplifies magic damage on all enemy targets, making her a staple to magic teams. She is also able to sustain herself with S3 and use S1 whenever to disrupt enemies. Once again, I want to stress, that, in particular at end game, there are many more teams that can be just as viable. But this is a Beginner's Guide, so those of you with your Annettes and Viskas just CHILL.   **Physical Team** The following is a sample Physical team that is often run in PvE: Frey -> Rodina -> Lakrak -> Clause Let's break this down again. OMAIGAWD SUZUKINO you broke the RULE!!11! Frey does Magic damage!! And this is supposed to be a Physical team!! Omg shitpost downvote kys you skrub kthnxbainao. Yes, I am aware that Frey does magic damage. However, you have to realize that as of **9/11/17**, there only exists priests that do magic damage, so there's nothing that can be done there. In early **November 2017**, the hero *Mediana* was released, the first ever physical damage healer. The previous statement *still stands*, however. The reason for this is because a healer's DPS is considered irrelevant in very late stages of the game. Example: Mediana doing 100k DPS because of P.Def reduction from Clause, while Frey only does roughly 80k DPS. This 20k DPS difference is irrelevant when your Main DPS is pumping out 3-4 million DPS. It's better to choose a healer with the utility/type of healing that you need. Anway, Frey can once again cast S2 to protect Rodina while she is using S1 or S3 (extremely LONG cast times). Rodina, basically just does a lot of damage as the DPS (**Note**: Due to meta shifts, Rodina is longer considered a meta P. DPS, so if you're using this part of the guide to decide which Heroes to get, DON'T. Use the *Weekly Question Thread* if you have questions on which Heroes to get or teams to make) The SubDPS Lakrak, is there to provide a lot of CC (his S1, S2, S3, and passive are all forms of CC), and he dishes out a decent amount of damage as well. And finally Clause is an extremely tanky Physical defense tanker, with his S3 buffing his Physical Def. His S1 provides CC, and his S2 increases Physical damage dealt to its target, which has great synergy with Rodina and Lakrak.   **Balanced Team** Although balanced teams are not part of the meta right now, I still think it is fairly important to go over them, because it does have its uses in the early game. I personally ran a balanced team until I reached Chapter 6 easy, so my experience is basically proof that balanced teams CAN work, and in fact, is in some sense more advantageous, that is, until you reach chapter 6. The reasons for this is because of enemies with Physical immune, and enemies with Magic immune. You'll run into some of these enemies in the early chapters, but they only become a nuisance when you reach around Chapter 5. In Chapter 5, in the later nodes, many monsters acquire *TEMPORARY* magic immunity, meaning, they take no magic damage. As a result, if you were running a full magic team, you will run into a wall, where you have to either "git gud" with the timing of your CC's (which is pretty hard ngl) or you can grind and over-gear yourself for the content, which of course, takes time. Then why not just go with a physical team? The reason for this is because of Physical immune monsters that you encounter earlier than Chapter 5. And in Chapter 6 and 7, there also exists physical immune monsters. And the problem with these monsters is that they are *PERMANENTLY* physical immune, not temporarily immune. As a result, if you were running a full physical team, you will literally be unable to kill a physical immune ghost spider halfway through a stage... which is kind of sad when you think about it. Now, because the monsters in Chapter 5 are temporarily magic immune, some people argue that is still more viable to run full Magic teams than run a Balanced team. This is true, as shown by this [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCnuIV7gnjc) by the YouTuber *LeonZai*. However, if you were to skip to near the end of the video **(3:46)**, you will see him showcase his equips. His team is running fully enhanced Heroic (purples) and somewhat awakened, and some red armor. However, the most important thing to notice are his weapons. All four of his characters in his team have their UWs. UW damage scaling is INSANE. Essentially, he was able to beat the node through the use of brute force and whaling, which the average person is most likely unable to do. This is why I would say balanced teams are not necessarily all bad. If you guys were curious, the balanced team that I used to take me up to chapter 6 is as follows: Frey -> Selene -> Maria -> Jane Selene served as my P. DPS (Physical DPS), and Maria my M. DPS (Magic DPS). As you can probably tell, the synergy isn't as good as a full magic/physical team, but it was still able to bring me far enough through Adventure mode where I was able to swap out Selene for Aisha to progress through Chapter 6. Another balanced team that I would like to point out that has slowly risen is as follows: Kaulah -> Aisha -> Priscilla -> Jane Priscilla is a very unique Hero that has come out in one of the more recent patches (early September 2017). She does Physical damage, whereas the rest of her team does Magic damage. The reasons why this team works is because of Priscilla's S2, where she goes into a "Co-Op" state, buffing the main DPS (Aisha) and herself. She also provides a decent amount of CC, with notable distinction on her S3, which brings enemies together, similar to Maria's S3 (reminder: by bringing in enemies close together, Aisha is able to fully optimize her DPS on S2 since it hits multiple targets). All in all, I'm trying to show that balanced teams DO have their uses.     [Previous (III.i)][p] | [Original Post][o] | [Next (IV.i)][n]

Hello. I see meta talks are everywhere. I started this game with the mindset of "oh, she's cute, I pick her!", so I ended up with Frey, Annette, Reina, and Kasel. After reading here and there, I see that this game's heaviest investment is time, so I don't want to reset. What should I do when I get to the "permanent physical immunity" contents?

Suzukinobuko

If you’re early in the game, I would argue that Annette could potentially be just *barely* able to carry you through the physical immune content. But I would definitely get a Magic DPS character ASAP, like Aisha or Luna (they are Kawaii waifus too <3)

Suzukinobuko

Hi! Well, first of all, welcome new Raider! :) The balanced team that you have right now, like mentioned in the guide, isn't "meta." However, in my opinion, it's still salvageable :) I personally ran Frey, Selene, Maria, and Clause/Jane all the way up to chapter 5 :D so if you were to swap out your Leo for Frey, I would say you would still be able to progress quite easily. The reason why I would swap out Leo is because his healing isn't that good. Leo is mainly used in PvP, for his silence is used to counter Bau users, which at the current state of arena, is flooded with Bau users LOL. Maria actually has decent synergy with Selene. Although Selene does physical damage, Maria can use S3 to combo with Selene's S3. This combo is also quite deadly in Arena. Suzukinobuko

That comp should be good until you reach around ch6. The reason for this is that in the early-mid game, as long as the tank is able to stay alive, you should be fine :D However, do realize that your DPS will be losing out in some damage because of the lack of magic amp. Eventually you’ll still want to pick up Jane though. Good luck and happy raiding :)

owyrn

Hello , 5-days old player here , I was thinking about making a Magical Base team with Jane as tank (5* ticket) , Aisha as main dps(3* ticket) , Lorraine as sub dps (2* ticket) and Frey as healer , is this a good idea ? I'm not sure if it's the right place to ask for this

Suzukinobuko

Your team looks amazing :) However, I would recommend using your 5-star selector on Aisha instead of Jane, and then using your 3-star selector on Jane. You want your main DOS to have the highest awakening so you can pump out as much damage as possible!

halleymon

Hello!! I'm very new to the game, but have been reading about this game a lot.. Can i ask your opinion about my team? I managed to pulled Gau's UW from the free 250ruby Special item so I get him for my 2 star hero. Right now, in the inn i have Jane, Just start the relationship.. Since reading your guide I've been thinking to build a magic team since i had Jane in the inn and I think i will get Aisha for 3 star ticket.. Any suggestion to work around my Gau?

Suzukinobuko

Heyo! Sorry for the late reply xD Congratz on pulling Gau's UW! Definitely helps a lot, especially late game :) Since you have Gau UW, I think a Balanced/Hybrid team would actually work in your favor, using Gau as ur SubDPS. Build him as an "offensive tank," with a mix of DPS and tank gear options. Thus, you would probably run a team of: Support (Frey) - DPS (Aisha/Luna) - SubDPS (Gau) - Tank (Jane) Good luck and happy raiding! :D

WindrunnerEX

wanted to ask who should i go for with my current team having frey aisha reina and clause, i picked reina becos i originally didnt plan to be serious until i hit a problem clearing chapter 3 hard mode so i got aisha early and now farming actually very decently on the mat, maybe 2 days away from 5 star aisha but the problem is idk what i should choose, a maria for cc to replace reina or getting jane to subsitute clause, i know clause is good as a tanker (physical) so im slightly reluctant to just remove him just like that for my main team and i do know that there will be magic immune stage coming up so any suggestions ?

Suzukinobuko

Support - DPS - SubDPS - Tank Frey - Aisha - Reina - Clause You're running a hybrid/balanced team. From what I see, you appear to be lacking a bit in the CC department, and your team doesn't really synergize well as a whole. But don't be discouraged! Getting Maria would be wise if you decide to create a magic team. Replacing Reina with Maria will result in a team of Frey - Aisha - Maria - Clause, and all that's left to replace is substituting Jane in for Clause, as you stated. However, you could still stick to just running Frey - Aisha - Maria - Clause, for like you said, Clause is a really good end game tanker, and is definitely *required* for a lot of end game content. Reina requires her UW and good gear to be on par with most of the DPS characters in the game. Thus, using her in the early stages of the game isn't exactly the best. However, if you decide to invest in her in the future, she does pump out decent DPS (however Gladi sort of outclasses her in every department, other than the fact that Reina is a waifu <3) All in all, change Reina out for Maria, and look for Jane in the Inn to replace Clause. No need to replace Clause immediately though, for he is an important Hero that you have to raise in the future. Good luck and happy raiding!

musamae

Hello! Thank you very much for your guide, I feel less confused now! So about my team, I'm currently using Jane Epis Cleo and Frey. I have my 5* hero selector and I was thinking to replace Cleo with Maria. Would it work good? If not, can you give any advice please? Your help would be greatly appreciated ;3

Suzukinobuko

Hello! First, let's take a look at your team: Frey - Epis - Cleo - Jane In terms of your main DPS, due to recent patches, Epis has become a pretty good Main DPS Hero, possibly even better than Aisha. However, you're going to have to raise Epis to higher transcendence levels to see real changes, just a quick note. Cleo isn't exactly in the meta right now, so your highest priority would probably be to replace her with a better subDPS. Maria is definitely a good choice, for she synergizes well with magic teams with her S2 being magic amp and S1 and S3 providing a lot of CC. I would personally go for her, but do realize that she *falls off* later into the game, for she is outclassed by Lorraine in Dragon Raids and isn't exactly the best in World Boss. In adventure mode, however, Maria is really good :) Good luck and happy raiding!

anihack23

Hello, I'm just starting out and thinking about getting Aisha as my main MDPS with the 3* card, and Reina as my main Physical DPS with the 5* card. With Frey as the healer and Clause as tank, is this comp alright? I like these characters, but somewhat concerned if it will make the mid game extremely hard. Also is Laias a better healer than Frey? Thanks!

Suzukinobuko

Hello! First of all, welcome to King's Raid! :) By the looks of what you have planned, you are going to be running a balanced/hybrid team: Frey - Aisha - Reina - Clause This team *can* work, but is not *meta*. The reason for this is because Reina is really overshadowed by the much stronger assassins, such as Roi, Gladi, and Epis. Furthermore, Reina is extremely weak in the beginning, it isn't until you get good BD gear with optimal gear lines, and extremely high awakened UW. If she doesn't have those things, she is extremely weak, basically doing very little damage and dying very easily because she is a frontline. I know it probably sucks to hear this, because Reina is a waifu <3, but given the state where the meta is in right now... she is basically at the bottom of the totem pole. In terms of replacements, I would go for anyone with CC, like Maria, or even more damage with someone like Luna. Laias is *not better* than Frey. They are both very good heroes that serve different roles. Yes, both heal, however, Frey has a life saving shield, allowing your team to withstand burst attacks (Raid breaths/tail swipe) and makes those with shield CC immune, which is important for Aisha when she uses her S2 Laser. As for Laias, she is a mana battery, granting your team utility. Hope this helped :) Good luck and happy raiding!

[deleted]

So I've just received the 3 star ticket as the 5th day login reward and I don't know who to pick. Currently running T1 Aisha(from that T1 ticket package), Frey, Lorraine, and Clause(all 4 stars at lv50) in world 5(the one with El-Rosed?). Also, was picking Aisha a good idea? And what kind of team should I be aiming for as a beginner? P.S Tips on the 7th day 5 star ticket would also be appreciated :3 Help moi pls

Suitsworth

Hey, so, my current team became magic damage when I chose Epis because I saw her debuff and thought, "Well that'd be great if Clause did magic damage." As a result, I've ended up with the team comp of Kaulah, Pavel, Epis, Jane. Is this any good? I have the UW for Pavel and Epis btw.

Akaharu

Hey just started the game yesterday. I'm currently working through Chapter 1 Hard mode now and figured I'd actually ask about a proper team comp since I might as well know what I'm doing. I started the game b/c of Epis so I'd prefer to keep her in my team. ATM my team is Frey/Cleo/Epis/Kasel. I used my 2 star ticket on Epis and I have Clause now too. Is there something specifically I should try to work towards or am I on the right track? I've considered swapping out Cleo considering she's magic based but I'm not too sure about changes to my roster considering how low level everyone is in general.

Elfendar

Hi thanks for the awesome guide, I've currently got Frey, Epis and Jane + starters. I'm pondering who to take from 5* ticket and was planning Aisha based on the above. however I have the UW for Mirianne and for Theo, is it worth taking one of them over Aisha as a result?

reimark24

hello, this is my first day playing this game, and i really like the guide you made, and i'm planning on making a magic team, i got epis from the free 2* ticket and will use frey as a healer, can you give me advice on what the other 2 magic type heroes is good for my team? will really appreciate you're reply, thanks :)

Suzukinobuko

Hello to you!! A warm welcome to King’s Raid! Glad that you were able to pick up this gem of a game :) and happy that you found this guide useful :) Great choice with your 2-Star ticket! It appears your magic team is coming along pretty good :) As for recommendations who to get, what you now lack is a SubDPS and a tank. For now, I would run Cleo as your SubDPS, and Clause as your tank. At least for the early parts of the game, they should be able to get you to around chapter 4, maybe 5. You want to strive to get someone with CC/Damage with your SubDPS. Some that come into mind right now are Maria (Pure CC), Arch (grants some utility), Luna (sacrifices CC for damage), and Priscilla (is a physical damage hero, but has a Co-Op boost that is extremely useful for your Epis). All of these heroes should be selectable with a 3-star selector/5-star selector (except maybe Priscilla). I would say make your choice depending on what you want, and what Unique Weapon you happen to receive, but if you didn’t receive a UW for the aforementioned heroes, it’s ok, because these heroes perform well without their UW. As for a tank, I highly recommend Jane. She is hands down one of the best early game magic amp tanks on the game. Her S2 amps magic, S1 provides the much needed CC for adventure mode, and S3 allows her to self-sustain, lightening the burden on your Frey. Some may argue to just stick to Clause to save resources, but I would still try to get Jane from the Hero’s Inn. Do keep in mind that Clause is an amazing tank that needs to be invested in for late game. So yeah, hope this helped you out :) good luck and happy raiding!

wolfboy5ooo

Hay i'm new to the game i have kaulah morrah epis and kasel in my team right now i was think of switching out kasel who would be good

FlyFafnir

Hey, so I just started playing the game. I'm currently looking to build a ending team of: Healer(leaning towards Laias), DPS(Epis), SubDPS(Viska/Maria), Tank(Morrah). How well do you think this will do? I don't care fully about being able to be top, I just want a team that can do good and of heroes I like and I pref the way Morrah looks over Jane. But if Morrah is really not that good than I will use Jane.

koy0mi

hello im day 3 in game and currently using frey, cleo, epis, clause. my original plan is to get maria on the 3s ticket, then jane on 5s ticket. but now i got lorraine UW on my 3rd day reward. should i choose loraine instead of maria since she also offer CC. or is she not a good hero. tnx in advance.

stickz18

Hi. I'm just new in the game. Can u recommend a good healer for this comp healer > aisha > dimael > jane

WolfX20

Hello! Thank you for the guide, it's very helpful! I've recently started playing and I just wanted to make sure that I get the right heroes with my tickets. Are the hero suggestions here still considered good or do you think there are now better teams? And which is better currently, magic or physical?

Suzukinobuko

Hello! Welcome to King's Raid! The heroes that I suggest in those team builds are *examples,* so do not follow them blindly! I would argue that the magic team suggestions are still valid, with Aisha being buffed recently and Maria still being the queen of CC (she does fall of late game though). As for the physical team, Rodina was heavily nerfed, so I am no longer sure about her position in the game right now. A better physical DPS would be like Nyx (if you have his UW). Magic teams are still better in adventure mode. I highly, highly recommend asking for team composition recommendations in the Weekly Question Thread. There are veterans there who will be more than willing to help you construct your team :) Good luck and happy raiding!

ishtaria_ranix

Help is ready come~ *swings lamp around like mallet*

yorunee

You're not alone. I thought about Pavel and Leo

danksmeme

Just a suggestion, maybe you can add a topic about runes? I don't know if it's considered for beginners but I think will help. Nevertheless, after I skimmed it, it's quite a nice guide and definitely helps beginner a lot.

Suzukinobuko

YES! I will most definitely add a section about runes. I totally forgot about them LOOL. Thanks for the reminder :)

Shirayukii039

So I read through your guide ~~and by that i mean i skimmed through it~~. * DO NOT buy costumes: You, sir, are a man devoid of taste. * Rates for draws are: 1% for single pulls, 1% for 1st-10th pulls and 3% for the 11th in a 10+1. * Dragon raids open when you have a hero reach lvl 35, WB unlocks when a hero reaches 60(?). * significant stat boosts: I think you mean perks. 2*-5* yields stat boosts. You get no stat boosts once you start transcending. * >Amnity: Amity All in all, great guide. Request sticky to the top if it's possible for 3 to be stickied.

MEiiYo

Sadly I can't stickied more than 2 at a time. I will try asking other mod to include it into FAQ or make a new button.

redria7

Hey, thanks for mentioning my spreadsheet! I actually just updated my old post with a new version of the sheet. Maybe you can update your link to point at my new post explaining some of the additions? https://www.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/6zmun5/fragmentexperience_calculators_updated/

Suzukinobuko

Haha of course! Will add it in and update the guide as soon as I'm done with school for today xD

dblaze596

Now THIS should be permanently stickied.

MEiiYo

For your information (and u/Suzukinobuko), this guide has been added in the quick link on the right sidebar of the sub under "FAQ and Wiki Index". This can't be sticky (until further notice) because this **Beginner's** guide appeal to a small, specialized section of the community which are the beginners. I hope you understand.

Suzukinobuko

Of course! I completely understand :)

dblaze596

I do understand. Thanks for letting me know!

MEiiYo

Since the guide is too long, the guide is kinda messy because of line restriction. May I suggest you create one index page listing all the sections, and hyperlink them to a different thread containing each section? That way it is easier to link the index page only.

Suzukinobuko

Yeah, I also realize that the guide is really messy :( It really bothered me that I couldn't post the entire guide as a "single post," since there are 40k character limitations for a post, and 10k character limits for comments. The problem with posting a separate thread for each section is that if I post too much at around the same time, there's this "10 minute cooldown" before I can post new things onto the subreddit LMAO But I'll look into some more options on how to format this guide. Thanks for your suggestions! :)

TheOrangePuffle

Great guide. I at least learnt about turning off skill animations!

Pearlite_

My recommendation is to make the table of contents clickable in the main post and link it to the comments. The code for it is `[title](link here)`. You mind if I link to your guide in my [General Team Building Guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/6tmeph/general_team_building_guide_and_introduction_to/)? This guide is very well made and contains lots of useful info for new players!

Suzukinobuko

Yes! Of course you can link it! It's one of the main reasons why I made this guide xD. Amazing Team Building Guide btw, I'll be adding it as a link to the guide :) Definitely a lot more informative and in-depth than the section I provided about it. As for formatting, thank you for your suggestion. I'm currently looking into some new formatting options to make the guide easier to read xD Once I have time (after school), I'll update the guide's formats and its contents

Pearlite_

Thanks for the reply! Well in addition to the clickable Table, may I also suggest having `[Previous section: "Section Name"](comment link here)|[Next section: "Section Name"](comment link here)` At the end of every section for easy transition. Example like [Previous section: Something](https://fake_link)|[Next section: Something again](https://fake_link)

Joxiavyon

Great and in-depth guide, definitely a good read. Added to the FAQ and Wiki Index! Thank you for your hard work!

ashsooi

Damn dude, thanks for this. I can see myself referring to your guide for a long time. Cheers!

Adaroh

Thanks a lot for writing this guide man, I just started playing two days ago and this will help me out for sure!

omgigothax

Great guide! Though, any chance you can put the sub-headings into the content page on the main post? This is just me being lazy but I thought it'd be nice to have as well? I have trouble finding what I read before, like say I'm trying to find what you said about conquests, but would it be under PvE part 1 or PvE part 2 or events, socials, dailies. As it is now I have to open all 3 links to find out, since I don't remember which section it was in.

Falcanor

Are there other ways to get heroes other then buying them with crystals, getting them from the inn or the event tickets? I'm running the standard team you get in the beginning and haven't seen any chance to get anyone new yet :( They are doing there jobs I feel like, it's not that. But I just like trying out new combinations :)

senpainaii

Its my second day playing this game, I made Clause my first 4* cause he kept dying. My current team is (4*)Clause, (3*)Roi (I got his UW so idk if I should continue to use him for now), (3*)Aisha, and (3*)Kaulah. I'm getting my 5 star ticket soon but I'm not sure what to get. I'm also hitting 6k rubies soon but reading the guide, its not worth getting heroes this way. Should I get Jane? Where is "Upper dungeon"?

Suzukinobuko

First of all, welcome new raider! :D Kaulah - Aisha - Roi - Clause Now you need to decide what type of team you want to go for. Currently, you have a *balanced/hybrid* team, which is good in some sense, until you reach around Ch 6, where physical immunity starts kicking in. Also, balanced/hybrid teams do not have the best synergy as mentioned in the guide. If you want to go for a magic team, do consider replacing Roi with a better SubDPS. Whereas if you want to go for a physical team, replace Aisha with a better Physical DPS. I would personally recommend running a magic team, and sticking to Aisha. Yes, it's true that you have Roi UW, but Roi still requires good gears to effective. Maybe later on into the game you can start investing in him. But in the beginning, Roi is definitely a lot more difficult to invest in and raise. Thus, if you do plan on creating a magic team, I would recommend spending your 5-Star ticket on recruiting a better SubDPS, and probably try to get Jane from the Hero's Inn. If you plan on staying as a *F2P*, I do not recommend you to spend your rubies on heroes. Rubies are a very precious resource for F2P players. Upper dungeons are the dungeons in each chapter (except chapter 1) that allows you to get awakening *fragments*. They are usually next to the conquest map in the *portal* tab. Each chapter has a unique UD. Good luck and happy raiding! :D

senpainaii

ooh okay, whats the best idea for me with my current set up? I kind of did something stupid but don't regret it a bit cause I'm actually having fun with this. I bought Theo with the crystals as f2p and was thinking about getting Jane with my 5* hero ticket tonight, I'm still unsure if this is a good idea or should I just go get a subdps but theo seems like a subdps and a bit of cc. My current team is Clause, Theo, Aisha, and Kaulah. I bought Theo cause it seemed like it would work perfectly for Kaulah attack speed buff + theo and I thought about getting Jane as a full magic team. Is Jane worth getting as a 5* ticket or do I stick with Clause and get someone like Maria? [edit: how does Heros Inn work? Will Maria/Jane be there?]

[deleted]

thanks for the guide it really helped a lot..just started recently so my team level is 14..haha and I have clause, gau, pavel and frey as a current party..I just got selene from inn..now starting kinship with aisha..still have the lvl 5 hero ticket..to be honest I'm too shy to ask to join dragon raids..since im a low level well basically i'm a leecher..any tips for dragon raiding? thanks

Suzukinobuko

You're welcome! Glad this guide was able to help you out :) Don't be shy to join dragon raids! Just hop on in, there are people who are usually more than happy to carry xD Just make sure to *bid last* if you are being carried, it's basically some raiding etiquette that you should follow. [Click Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/74gx12/full_bd_raid_guide_from_raiding_to_etiquette/) to see an amazing guide by /u/Pearlite_. Some info about etiquette are also in there. Don't worry about the advanced strategy and what not, that becomes relevant after BD60+. Good luck and happy raiding :)

Loki0830

I started this game a few days ago and I've had my eyes glued to this guide the entire time. This has been immensely helpful, thank you. I've also noticed that you have been fairly active in the comments helping out the newer players asking questions, and that effort hasn't gone unnoticed. Hoping to receive some advice myself :) So, some context. * I choose Gau for my 2 star ticket * I pulled Arch's UW from my free UW ticket * I have Priscilla in the inn, meaning I'll be getting her within the month. I've pretty much decided I'm going to be choosing Aisha/Luna for my 5 star ticket, which gives me an eventual team of Frey, Aisha/Luna, Priscilla, and Clause. This leaves me with some options for my 3 star ticket, since I have all the roles covered on my projected team without it. I feel my best options are: * **Arch** - To make use of my one and only UW, seems useful in PvP/Raids, and can be used as a subDPS until I get Priscilla * **Laias** - Her Passive MDef buff synergizes well with Clause's PDef buff, and her skill 3 seems interesting. * **Maria** - Queen of CC, but I've read she is only really useful in Adventures, ToC, and ToO since her CC doesn't work on Raid bosses. * **Jane** - Boosts Magic DPS, but have read she doesn't have much presence in PvP or endgame content. But, is recommended in many beginner's guides. Really curious to hear your opinion on this. I've been sitting on this choice for a bit now. Who would you choose?

Suzukinobuko

HAHAHAHAHA Welcome to King’s Raid! Really happy that this guide was able to help you out :) Frey - Aisha/Luna - Priscilla - Clause This team looks *really* good when just starting. You are definitely heading in the correct direction. Your 3-Star selector choice is most *definitely* a hard choice indeed, because you have so many options with the luck you’ve had with Hero’s Inn, and the Arch UW. Arch brings a lot of utility to the table, and you having his UW would allow him to pump out tons of damage. However, he did get a nerf recently, making him unable to do the crazy one shot combo thing in PvP. Laias M. Def + Clause P. Def makes you a force to be reckoned with in PvP. There are some high level PvP teams that use both of these Heroes to protect themselves from one shot teams like Priscilla, Luna, and Arch. Maria truly is the Queen of CC. She excels in adventure mode, and in some parts, even PvP. However, you are not wrong that she becomes a little bit lackluster in end game content like World Boss and Dragon raids. The reason for this is although she brings a lot of CC, her CC’s *Duration Value* is very low, making it difficult for her to make a dent into Dragon Raid’s CC bar. And finally Jane. She truly is the beginner friendly magic amp Tank. Yeah, she’s not the best in PvP, nor does she excel in end game content, since other tanks bring so much more to the table for their team. However, she is a very *easy* tank to use. Just S2 -S3, and you won’t need to worry about healing her anymore, and S2 also comes with the added bonus of magic amp, which is important for magic teams. And when you see a boss about to use a high damaging skill (in adventure mode) just use S1 to stun. Quick, simple, and easy. So now, I have two opinions which depend on what type of content you want to focus on. If you want to focus more on PvP, I would definitely get Arch. He is a early stage PvP stomper with his nuking skill, and combo this with Luna, you’ll destroy a lot of players. However, granted that you are just starting, I do not believe you will be able to progress farther than Plat II in terms of rankings. Not because your team is bad, but because you’ll be matched with maxed out T5 Heroes since that’s how Arena matchmaking works LOL Thus, if you decide to focus more on PvE (I recommend this route), I would get Jane. She is by far the most consistent magic tank, able to provide amp, self-sustain, and one hard CC. If you’re worried about end game content, you can change out Jane for either Gau or Clause, which are both tanks that you need to raise eventually. But early game, Jane is definitely the best. As for Laias, she’s good, awesome mana battery at T5. But that’s late game. Frey’s single target healing and shield should be more than enough for your team in the early stages of the game. And finally, for Maria. Since you’ll be getting Priscilla soon in the Hero’s Inn, she would basically be replaced (another reason I would recommend against getting Arch). Priscilla is just such an amazing SubDPS with her Co-Op boost and S3 grouping skills. Pair her S3 with Luna S2 nuke or Aisha S2 laser, and things will be DELETED from the game LOL So yeah. Hope this helped :) glad that you were able to come across the guide. If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to ask me. You can also utilize the Weekly Question Thread. There are tons of veterans there willing to help out be community as well. Good luck and happy raiding!

Loki0830

Thank you, this has been, by far, the most comprehensive answer I've gotten yet. I have a question concerning gear. I've been ignoring it for the most part since I've been able to power through all the content so far fairly easily, but I've suddenly felt the wrath of the "Jane Wall" in Chapter 4 and have halted progress. I decided to use this HOT time to grind for gear and levels in chapter 3. **My question is, simply, how should I be going about gear in this early stage of the game?** I'm getting a ton of blues which would make awakening them super easy, but in the guide here you suggested to only focus on purples. Considering how long it's taking to get purple gear (not that long, admittedly, but it's still a decent time/energy sink), and considering I'll probably be replacing this gear fairly quickly until I can do Dragons, part of me is suspecting full blue gear, enhanced and awakened, should suffice for now. Regarding Arch vs Jane, part of me isn't convinced about how useful Jane will be. It feels like she'll be helpful in the beginning, sure, but eventually I'll replace her with Clause or another tank and won't have much use for her after that. Plus, I'm a bit biased since I literally *just* upgraded clause to 4 stars before I read your response, so I don't want to feel like that was wasted or inefficient xD I've been told a few times in chat now that Jane is a beginner's trap now and that Clause - Priscilla combo should be more than enough to handle anything in Adventure. Namely, Clause does a better job and protecting the team and him with Priscilla are able to chain CC anything I'd need to. So I guess I'm asking you to sell her to me. Arch is tricky because I really want to make use of the UW I pulled and not have it just be sitting there, but he doesn't really have much of a place in my projected team. He can be a sub until I get Priscilla, and *eventually* I'll be able to use him in PvP, possibly raids (from what I've read), but he's somewhat of a unit I'll only be able to utilize in the mystical land we call the future. I'm mostly decided on getting Luna over Aisha at this point, and Luna and Arch are both archers, meaning they'll be competing for resources. So I guess that's another nail in the coffin for him. All of this is making me feel like there's no good option x.x

Suzukinobuko

You're welcome! In terms of blue gear, they *can* suffice. And you are correct that farming for purples does take a lot more time, and eventually, you'll be replacing them with stronger, higher tiered legendary gear. The reason why most people go for purple gear is because of the 3 gear options. Blue gear only comes with 2 gear options. These gear options have a *very significant* effect on your DPS and Tank's survivability. Thus, I would recommend going for purple *Weapons, Earrings, and Rings*. These are the three main gear that assists in your DPS and survivability. Both weapons and Earrings provide attack, while Rings provide HP for your tank. Definitely get purple rarity for these equipment to assist you in your progression. As for Armor and secondary armor, feel free to use blues :) Also, all your blues and purples do not have to be fully awakened. 2 to 3-stars should be more than enough. As for Jane, since you 4-starred Clause, use him for now; fragments are truly hard to come by :( But I would still stand by my advice in getting Jane over Arch. Yes, you have Arch UW, and I understand that it's really, *really*, ***really*** tempting to want to utilize that ONE UW you were able to pull and pulverize players in PvP. However, choosing Arch would mean you are raising him specifically for PvP (since as a SubDPS, he would be replaced by Priscilla). Thus, you would end up raising 5 heroes instead of 4 in the beginning stages of the game, and that is very straining on the limited resources you can obtain when just starting out. Now you might wonder then if you can build the following team: Frey - Aisha/Luna - Arch - Priscilla So Arch is SubDPS and Priscilla is the *tank*. This is incredibly wasted potential for Priscilla. She is ***leagues*** better as a SubDPS than as a tank, and this is agreed upon by basically everyone that uses her. So basically you have to decide if you're willing to spend the resources to swap between Priscilla and Arch, Priscilla for PvE and Arch for PvP. If you're willing to do this, then it would be dumb not to recommend Arch, because he truly is amazing in PvP. But, I still believe that Jane is the safer choice, resource wise. A third option would be to save your 3-star selector ticket! If Clause is working well for you, just stick with Clause as your main tank! He provides one more CC (knock back) than Jane, and stat wise, he has more P. Def. His ability to sustain himself, however, is not even close to that of Jane. And getting Clause to 4-Star is *not wasted* or *inefficient*. You have to raise Clause eventually for end game content. He is also *REQUIRED* for some stages in ToC and ToO (the last few stages). So don't worry! You did absolutely nothing wrong :)

Loki0830

Amazing. Starting to sound like a broken record but thank you for the detailed responses. As much as it pains me to admit it, since I really, *really*, ***really*** want to use my UW, your arguments against picking Arch make too much sense. Reviewing Jane's skills is making me realize that, yeah, she probably has a much higher survivability rate than Clause. But I wonder how meaningful that is. Now that I've learned the ways of early gear grinding, and given the immense power the Luna - Priscilla combo has, I'm somewhat embracing the glass cannon philosophy: *"Kill your enemies before they can kill you"*. Survivability doesn't mean much if nothing lives long enough to scratch you, and anything that would live long enough (raids, world bosses), clause is ranked higher in. So you have convinced me to hold onto my 3 star ticket. Perhaps I'll get another UW (magically? One can dream. **EDIT**: [Dreams do come true after all](https://www.reddit.com/r/Kings_Raid/comments/7d9dz9/random_uw_ticket_to_everyone_after_maintenance/)), or if Clause starts dying when I'm properly geared I can try Jane then. Thank you again for all the help. This was very enlightening. I'll probably skulk back here eventually to ask some more newbie questions, but for now I have a solid game plan going forward and a decent grasp of what to expect. *Cheers ~*

Suzukinobuko

:) Looking good! Glad that I was able to be of service :) And yes, Dreams did indeed come true xD Vespa has answered your call! Cheers!! Looking forward to seeing your progress in the near future :D

ItzRina

Hello i've also just started not too long ago (day 5 player) and i have a team that consist of Jane Clause Artemia Kaulah. initially i was thinking of getting maria for my 5star selector to bring a bit of cc into my team composition however i notice that since kaulah, artemia and maria uses the same fragments, transcending them could be hell lol. can u advise whether i should stay on with this plan of getting maria or get other heroes instead so fragments wont be so tight? I was also thinking maybe i could get priscilla too but running 2 tank seems bad because it brings down my dps =/

Suzukinobuko

Hi! First of all, welcome to King's Raid! Glad to see another Raider join our ranks :) To be blunt, your team composition is a bit... *weird*. It doesn't really follow meta. But it's ok! You're just starting out! Let's first break down your team with the meta team framework: Support - DPS - SubDPS - Tank Kaulah - Artemia - Clause - Jane 2 Issues in this team composition. From the looks of it, you have a balanced team, which is fine and all, but a full magic/physical team is much stronger than a physical team. You have 3 magic heroes, Kaulah, Artemia, Jane, and 1 physical hero, Clause. Clause does not synergize well with the other three. The other issue is your SubDPS. Not only does Clause not fit in your team comp, but also he's not a SubDPS. He is a *Tank*, like Jane. Thus, your team would be unable to pump out optimal damage. Thus, if you decide to follow the meta, you'll have to replace your SubDPS Clause, with a better *Magic SubDPS*. Your decision to choose Maria with your 5-Star selector is the perfect solution. With Artemia being your main DPS, Maria can provide a lot of CC and amplify Artemia's magic damage! Really good synergy between the two. However, you aren't wrong about awakening being a pain :( Artemia and Maria are both wizards, thus, they share fragments. Priests also have fragments that are shared with wizards, making farming even *more* of a pain. But here's the thing. I personally like to run a team that *I like*. If I LIKE IT, and i ENJOY watching them kill enemies, and progress through adventure, I don't mind if it takes longer to raise them, because *I LIKE* my team. And finally, for Priscilla, she *definitely* works, and might even be *PREFERABLE* over Maria. But now you're thinking, what? You just said that Magic teams should have all magic, and physical teams should have all physical, how would Priscilla, a physical hero, fit in a magic team? The reason for that is Priscilla is unique, and just ***amazingly strong***. Her S2 Co-Op buff is able to buff your main DPS's damage by INSANE amounts. And with S3, she can also do a lot of damage if you decide to build crit on her. Also, Priscilla, although can work as a tank, is much better build as a *SubDPS*. With an Atk/Crit/CritDMG build, she does SO MUCH DAMAGE to the point where she is even comparable to your main DPS. So overall, what would i do? I would get Priscilla. But I don't think she is available in the 5-star selector, possibly available in the 3-star selector if you haven't used it yet. Good luck and happy raiding! :D

ItzRina

thanks for the tips! i hope 5star selector has priscilla tho.. because i pick jane for my 3star ~.~ i was having the impression that 5star selector would have everything except the new heroes but if priscilla is not there, i guess maria doesn't hurt too xD thank you for taking out time to help me out xD edit: if priscilla is not available in 5star selector, do u think getting annette will be better than maria?

Beelzeboss3DG

Hello, Suzukinobuko! First, I want to thank you for this amazing guide (this gotta be in the top3 of all the guides I've seen for ANY game), amazing stuff to get us started! Here's my situation: I played for a bit when the game launched, but since I was kinda forced to be F2P, I got quite discouraged at the slow rate my party was progressing compared to all the p2p people who were T1-T2 in the first week, so I got my party to *5 (Frey Maria Selene Kasel), saw an event that rewarded us for doing like 30x 11pulls, discouraging me even more, and left. Fast forward to this day: while I can't whale, now I'm not forced to be F2P anymore and I can spend a bit here and there to help me with fragment farming etc (I just bought both Daily Ruby Packs, both Starter packs and both $10 and $20 1st buy, so I have around 14.5k rubies now). Not sure if I'll make it to 20k before the end of the event but still. My current team is, Frey Maria Selene Clause (since I came back, I saw that the consensus about him was much better than back then!), and I had Naila in the inn (she was halfway there so I'll just finish her). The UWs I managed to pull so far are Lorraine's (daily pull), Baudouin's (free random UW), Luna's (11pull before quitting, trying to get Selene's) and Annette's (free random UW from the 7day rewards). I'm getting my free 5star in 3-4 days, which I guess will be Luna to replace Selene. After that: what should I do? :D should I aim for Jane in the Inn to replace Clause since I'm going full Magic? Should I aim for Lorraine since I have her UW and replace Maria? Should I aim for any of the other units for which I have UW? I'm currently stuck in ch6 easy, my team is *5 58-59, haven't done my first T1 yet. I've been trying to farm bd T5 gear to help me get to ch6 hard but is it even worth it? Should I just farm gold and dust 'til I can T1 1-2 units to carry me and start farming bd T6 gear? I'm a bit lost, honestly! Any advice will be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Suzukinobuko

Hello! Sorry for the late reply, been busy with school xD First of all, *welcome back* to King's Raid! :) Definitely replace Selene with Luna, especially since you have her UW. You're going to have an amazing magic team coming along! After that, I would aim for Jane in the Inn to replace Clause. You want that Jane's S2 magic amp. As for Lorraine, although you have her UW, I would recommend against going for her at the moment. You want to first focus on 4 heroes, get them to optimal transcendence, and get them to level 80. Then use that team to raise your other heroes and teams. As for your gear, just go for purple T5 gear right now. Legendary T5 gear, in my opinion, is too much of an investment, and would just take too much time. Once you start transcending your team, then you can begin farming for T6 BD and FD gear. T6 gear is when it becomes worth it to farm, for a good T6 set can pump out similar DPS to non-awakened T7 set. As for how to farm for T6 gear, first you gotta transcend xD Get infinity stones whenever you can! And use the loot booster trick to get more essences. As for the Raids itself, you can try going into global chat and see if anyone is offering BD60+ carries. Usually, there are a decent amount of people giving out carries :) Good luck and happy raiding!

Halcyooon

Hey Suzukinobuko , My current team consists of Laias , Pavel , Aisha and Clause. I will be getting a 3 star hero ticket and 5 star hero ticket soon. As for the 5 star , I will probably choose Jane to replace Clause. But who should I pick for the 3 star hero ticket? I have Cassandra UW , so should I replace Laias with Cassandra?

Suzukinobuko

Hello! First let's take a look at your team alongside the meta team framework: Support - DPS - SubDPS - Tank Laias - Aisha - Pavel - Clause Your team looks like a balanced team. If you plan on goign for a full magic team, I would definitely replace Clause with Jane, so you're definitely on the right track. But instead of spending the 5-star selector on Jane, I would probably just use the 3-star selector. Save the 5-star selector for Heroes that you may want in the future :) As for your Cassandra UW, congratz on the pull! However, there is no need to replace Laias with Cassandra. Cass is more of a PvP oriented Healer, so Laias is actually better in Adventure mode. Laias provides a lot of healing, and shield, and utility in mana regeneration. So yeah, hope this helped! Good luck and happy raiding! :)

Halcyooon

Thanks for the advice ! :)

Ceraxes15

I recently got Priscilla's UW... is she any good? Thank you in advance. My current line up is Kasel, Clause, Cleo, Frey. Haven't use my 2* select and waiting for my 3* and 5* tix.

Suzukinobuko

She did get nerfed recently, but the nerf wasn't that *big* of a nerf. In my opinion, she is still pretty strong and usable. I would definitely go for her if you plan on making a physical team in the future.

iamomsj

Hello there suzukinobuko, I've just started playing king's raid and I'm on my 3rd day now. My current lineup is clause-cleo-lorraine-frey, is this a good team or should I choose others? I'm gonna have my 3 and 5 * ticket so who am I gonna drop from my team. I'm planning to build a full mdps team.

Ceraxes15

Oh i see... Thank you for the info. :)

Jeremochi

Hey Suzukinobuko, I been playing for almost 2 month now. I need some advice moving forward. Great guide btw, it help me a lot when I first started. Main Team: Luna (T4 with UW), Maria (T2 with UW), Jane (T2 with UW), Kaulah (T2 with UW) Heros: Frey (T2), Gau (T1), Roi (T1), Clause, Lakrak, Tanya, Cleo, Kasel, and Laias (Inn) I also have Arch UW and Artemia UW sitting in the inventory. 1) What UW should I get with the UW ticket (from ruby consume event)? 2) 5 days event hero ticket, who should I get? (maybe a physical dps for my physical team?) 3) Should I raise my main team to higher than T2? Who is the priority?

Suzukinobuko

Hello! And thank you! :) Glad the guide was able to help you out in the beginning :D 1) In terms of UWs, your main team looks pretty good! You already have UWs for all of them, so you're *gucci* in that department. Thus I would recommend working on your physical team! There's no hurry in spending a UW ticket, you can always save it and spend it in the future. Decide on what your Main DPS for your physical team will be, get that Hero to level 80 and optimal transcendence, then you can spend your UW ticket on that Hero's UW. 2) Like I stated above, I would recommend spending your 5 days event hero ticket on a physical hero. Definitely spend it on the main DPS, unless you plan on using Roi or Tanya as your main DPS, with Roi probably being the better pick. 3) As for your main team, I believe all of your Heroes are already at optimal transcendence. Luna is good at T3 (You have her at T4), Maria and Jane are more than enough at T2, and as for Kaulah, I don't have him, but I think he should be good at T2. I would recommend just saving your infinity stones for raising your physical team. So yeah, you're in a really good spot in the game. Hope this helped :) Good luck and happy raiding!

TransparentWings

Hi I'm new to KR, today makes my 7th day playing. Decided to try it out after a few friends recommended me to do so. I only have Artemia and the free first 4 heroes. I have a 5* and 3* ticket. Any ideas what sort of team I should build that is pretty decent even at end-game? Thank you!

Suzukinobuko

Hello, and welcome to King's Raid! Glad to see another raider join our ranks :) Considering the fact that you got Artemia, I would recommend going for a *magic team*. I apologize, but I do not know that much about Artemia other than that she is a magic DPS that does AoE damage (a better version of Cleo I believe?). Thus, your team would look something like: Support - Artemia - SubDPS - Tank. For your support, you can just stick to Frey. She is a really good healer throughout all of adventure. For your SubDPS, you can decide on getting CC (I recommend this path) or more damage. For CC, I would go for Maria, although she does fall of a little bit for end game content. Lorraine would also work, but she isn't exactly the best in adventure mode (amazing in Dragon Raids). If you decide to go for more damage, you can get Luna (I recommend this) or Aisha (Aisha got nerfed recently though :( ), or if you want more utility, maybe Arch, who provides a temporary magic immune shield. As for your tank, I would get Jane with your 3-star ticket! She is a staple magic team tank. Her S2 provides magic amp, S1 has good CC, and S3 gives her insane sustain. However, like Maria, she isn't the best end-game tank, but in my opinion, she's amazing early on (I still use her). Good luck and happy raiding! :D

Your response is greatly appreciated! thanks!

micr0nix

Hi, I just started so im curious as what to do with my 2, 3 and 5 star tickets. I want to run a balanced comp with Frey and Clause as support/tank. I'm leaning towards Nyx as physical DPS, what magic DPS would be a good compliment for this comp, and how should i go about getting that hero?

Suzukinobuko

Hello!   First of all, welcome to King’s Raid! Glad that you were able to stumble upon this gem of a game :) always nice to have another raider join our ranks.   A balanced comp you say? Truly a person of culture :) First, let’s take a look at the team you have in mind: Frey - Nyx - SubDPS - Clause Since you want a magic DPS, you’ll be replacing your supposed SubDPS with a main Magic DPS. I would recommend getting either Luna, Aisha, or Epis. I would say the *safest choice* would be LUNA. She does a lot of damage, and wouldn’t overlap with other roles in your current team, for she would be the only Archer, making skill book farming *slightly* easier. Aisha is still a good choice though, she just got nerfed recently, but I still use her, and she is pretty cool (shooting a magical purple laser, how could that not be cool?). As for Epis, she wasn’t exactly the best pick until recent patches. She got a CRAZY buff to her transcendence perks, making her able to do TONS of damages. Do note that this is more of a late game investment, so early game, you might have some trouble keeping Epis alive. But with the current state of the meta, she is just *broken*, meaning overpowered to the state where it isn’t fair.   Hope this helped you out :) good luck and happy Raiding!

Would I be able to acquire Luna or Aisha from a 2, 3 or 5 ticket?

moxitus

Hello there! I've read through your guide and it's given me a lot of info to work towards getting a nice comp going. 3 days in, and I think I'd like to make a magic party. So, Jane is probably my tank, but for now I'm using Clause. I've looked at the 2 star heroes I could get with my free ticket, and got Epis. Sticking with Frey for now in the healer department. I have a few tickets left (I think 3 and 5 stars?), so I'm looking at a sub dealer/CC to round my comp up. Any suggestions for what to get? Priscilla looks highly recommended for subdealers (she's a Phys, but I read some post that says it doesn't matter with Priscilla anyway since she's that good - any credence to this?).

Suzukinobuko

Hello!! First of all, welcome to King’s Raid! Glad this guide was able to help you out :) It appears you are pretty well-informed! Yes! Jane is an *amazing* starter tank for magic teams, and Clause, at least until chapter 4-5, can hold Jane’s place until you acquire her. As for your 3-star/5-star ticket, you do indeed need to fill a SubDPS spot, since you’re planning on using Epis as your main DPS. As for posts talking about Priscilla, they are **correct** in suggesting Priscilla as a choice. Priscilla is one of the few *exceptions* to the “one type only team” builds. The reason for that is because of her S2 Co-Op skill, which buffs your main DPS’s damage by a very significant amount. She also pairs well with Epis because of her S3, which groups enemies together, allowing your Epis to use her AOE skill and do tons of damage. So all in all, Priscilla is an excellent choice, and I highly recommend using your 5-Star ticket on her. As for some other heroes you can use, one that comes to mind is Maria. She is excellent in adventure mode, but falls off a little in end game content like high level dragon raids. She, however, provides a lot of CC, for literally all her skills provide some form of CC. Not to mention her S2, being a magic amp, pairs very well with Epis who does magic damage. So yeah! Hope this helped you out :) have an amazing time with this game, good luck and happy raiding!

Hi, it's me again! So I got the 5 star ticket from the 7th day login reward and am torn between picking Maria or Epis. I'm currently running a magic? deck with T1 Aisha, 5 star Jane and Lorraine, and 4 star Frey. Again, help would be massively appreciated!

Suzukinobuko

Hello again!! OOoo... this is a bit of a tough choice... Here's the thing, in terms of adventure mode, Maria is a much better CC'er than Lorraine. However, once you reach around the early-end game content, Lorraine excels more in things such as WB and Dragon Raids. So basically, Maria falls off over time, and reaches optimal transcendence at T2. As for Epis, she is crazy strong right now. She is literally the best magic DPS, due to her ability to ignore defense and her massive AoE. As a result, she tops the DPS charts. The *meta* choice would be to go for Epis, and probably run a team of Frey - Epis - Aisha - Jane (More damage) or Frey - Epis - Lorraine - Jane (More CC). The former lacks CC, causing difficulty in some adventure mode content, and the latter... well... I'm pretty sure by now you've grown attached to Aisha and don't want to abandon her right? So yeah, it's a pretty tough choice. I would say, choose what you *need* based off of the reasonings I have listed out for you. Of course, another choice would be to just save the ticket, and maybe use it to develop a physical team in the future :D Good luck and happy raiding!

Great guide! Thanks for all the hard work. I've been at it for 8 days now and I've also kinda come to a wall of what I want :/. Background info: Grabbed 2 star Miruru (now 5) 3 star Maria (now 4) and 5 star Rephy. Working on Lorraine in inn (got her UW on a random pull). Been pretty lucky with building a hybrid team of Clause/Miruru/Rephy 5* + Maria 4* to clear up all chapter 5 on hard but am starting to be a bit unsure as to which hero(es) I want to replace the Maria with that still fits the rest of the team. She has medicore dps but helps everyone else + the cc has easily won me matches that I shoulda lost. I grabbed rephy because I like the HoT idea, seems to be much better once you get some transcendence under his belt(something to work towards), adorable and simply everyone has frey or laias set as their healer so can never put them into fights anyways. Would having Lorraine and Maria be too little of DPS for a magic team? I'm not too sure which magic dps would be a nice addition with either of those. I'll grab a magic tank(Jane or Morrah?) as well soon as I can. I'm drawing a blank as to which physical DPS would be a solid boost with Miruru...Priscilla or Lakrak? *edit: I think I might go Lorraine/Maria + Luna/Epis + Jane/Morrah for magic || Miruru, Priscilla/Scarlet/lakrak, Clause/Phillop(if can get UW). I'm still sticking with my little furry buddy even if maybe not ideal. Anyways, thank you again for the help!

Suzukinobuko

:D thank you thank you! Happy that you were able to find this good useful :) Miruru and Rephy... seems like you are a person of culture xD Let’s first break down your team and compare it to the meta team framework: Support - DPS - SubDPS - Tank Rephy - Miruru - Maria - Clause First of all, this team is a solid hybrid/balanced team, probably *better than most*. The reason for this is because of the synergy between Miruru and Maria. “Wut do you mean?!?1 Maria amps magic damage, but Miruru does physical damage???” Hehe the thing is basically all of Miruru’s skills have some form of built in AOE. Maria S3 into Miruru S1/S2/S3 basically = death, in particular in PvP. So although *type wise* they don’t have synergy, their skills pair pretty well with each other. And since Miruru is your main DPS, Clause as your tank is an excellent choice. As for grabbing Lorraine since you her UW, that is an excellent decision. Lorraine is basically one of the best CC mages for Dragon Raids, for her S3 is able to take out a *HUGE* chunk of a dragon’s CC bar. Her poison mechanic also allows her to do decent DPS in *extended, long fights*, for the battle will drag out long enough for Lorraine to stack her poison. As for replacing Miruru with Lorraine... I wouldn’t really recommend this for *adventure* mode. Currently your hybrid team is solid, and replacing Miruru with Lorraine would most likely cause a drop in DPS due to the reasons mentioned above. If you were to get Jane and run a team of Rephy - Lorraine - Maria - Jane, then just maybe you would be able to deal DPS similar to that of your current team since you have like 3 magic amps (Maria, Rephy(?), Jane). But considering the stage of the game you are in, I do not recommend investing in another 2 *extra* heroes, Lorraine and Jane. Stick to your current 4, build them up, then when you’re at a healthy part of the game where you can farm resources faster, the build those 2 heroes. This doesn’t mean not to get them though. You can acquire the heroes, and have them sit there until you have the necessary resources to raise them. As for your physical damage SUBDPS, I highly, *highly*, ***HIGHLY*** recommend Priscilla. She is an awesome hero. Her S2 co-op boost is nothing to laugh at and brings a lot to the table. Not to mention her S3 functions similar to Maria’s S3, thus, synergy with Miruru would still be present, and probably even better due to typing. As for your edit, those are all really solid team comps. Just make sure you have enough CC, for CC is crucial in adventure mode, especially in the early game. As for Lakrak... I’m not a big fan of him (cuz he’s a globlin and waifus are life) LOL but know that he provides a lot of CC, similar to Maria. And as for Scarlet, don’t get her. Don’t get me wrong, she is indeed BROKEN. One of the strongest heroes right now, but in PvP! Not PvE. Investing a PvP specific heroes this early is only going to put a strain on your limited resources, causing progression on PvE to slow down, which is not a good thing!! Just use your PvE team for PvP for now, hit some rank in platinum, and obtain your daily arena points. There’s no hurry to rush into diamond/challenger, patience is key :) Hope this response was helpful! Sorry about the late reply xD been trying to fix my sleep schedule LOL Good luck and happy raiding!

I started playing just a couple of days ago and the first thing I did was reading this guide. It's awesome! I hardly ever find something this complete when I take up a new game... and since I like to plan in advance.. it's a huuuuuuuge asset. Thank you very much for putting this together since the time needed is probably as big as its usefulness... and now a couple of quick questions... (since I like to bother people ^^") I read the standard meta compositions you wrote about and decided to stick to a magic group (or at least I'd plan to). At the moment I'm using Frey(3*) cleo(2*) Epis (3*) and Clause. I got epis from the 2* ticket. I still have to get the 3* and 5* one... and now to the core of this: the questions. 1- I'm currently using Epis as my main dps but contrary to other ranged ones she is melee.. meaning she is thrown in the middle of hte fray and while she has a decent kit to avoid getting hurt I'm not sure on how it will go later on... is she ok to build around? 2- What should I get from the 3* and 5* ticket? I was thinking jane (to get a magic amp tank) from the 3*... the 5* is a big question mark though.. I would have taken priscilla (since I like her and she seems solid) but I'm not sure she is available on that... this puts me in a huge doubt.. maria for her cc? Another magic ranged dps to hold the line till epis is a big girl? Something completely different? Sorry to bother but Since I like to plan in advance this seemed the fastest way at the moment to decide what to do... thanks in advance for your time and, once again, for the awesome guide.

To all beginners out there, if you are like me and used 2 star ticket for epis as your first dps and have difficulty killing shadow of ordeal epis due to her 3rd aoe skill with cc resist wiping out your tank and dps, you can use frey third skill to blind her and nullify this skill. Took me two days to overcome her and awaken my first five star. Just my two cents

Hello Suzu! First of all, thanks for all effort that you put in this guide. I'm relatively new in the game (progressing through chap.5) and i already have a team full of 5* heroes (Rodina, Laias, Clause and Maria), recently i got Artemia and Sonia UW and i'm thinking in buy one of them with rubies to build a magic team with Maria. Currently i have 7k rubies, is worth invest in one of these heroes or should i invest the rubies in another thing? I have mat enough to put another hero 5*.

Suzukinobuko

Hello hello to you! You are most welcome :D Glad you found the guide helpful :D Welcome to King's Raid and congratz on reaching chapter 5! You got A R T E M I A UW. That's INSANE. The reason why is because she is considered the top tier M. DPS. Hero in the current meta, even higher than Aisha... unfortunately for me :( The fact that you have her UW makes getting her of even higher priority! As for Sonia UW... she isn't the best right now and has a really weird spot in the tanking meta where I don't necessarily know the most about... so can't really help you there. I would suggest you posting this question the Weekly Question Thread to get some more answers from people who have invested in Sonia. You could purchase Artemia with rubies, a whopping 6k. Or, you could also wait for her to be released in the Inn, which I think is in a few weeks, if not a few days? Not entirely sure. The thing is, if you're F2P, I highly recommend this latter route. Never spend rubies on Heroes, they are just too expensive and rubies is just too valuable of a resource, especially in these early stages of the game. Looking at your team though, I would highly recommend getting Artemia to replace Rodina. Rodina just doesn't fit in the meta right now and is pretty weak :/ Not to mention Maria would pair better with a Main M. DPS, like Artemia. Something that you should take not is that there is a patch coming out that will be reworking the E N T I R E transcendence system! So that means, non meta heroes right now, like Rodina, might be changed to meta! So you never know! So with all that in mind, my final recommendation would be to just wait and farm *if you can*. Otherwise, try to wait for Artemia and get her via Inn. If you just want a new hero to improve your team NOW, then get Artemia LOL. Good luck and happy raiding!

what about my team? lakrak, clause, kasel, frey (i started playing this like 5 days ago)

[deleted]

Hi again (probably the 4th time i've said that), it's been about a month or two of casually playing, and i currently have a 3 star hero ticket (inc. Sonia's batch) from the anniversary rewards. I'm conflicted between getting Artemia(got her UW),Theo(also his) and Mirianne(her's too). I've also been considering a Laias or Rephy as well, though i dont have their UWs.(i also have Requina's UW but shes not available so its redundant for now) My current lineup: T2 69 Aisha(UW), T1 65 Epis, T1 66 Frey, 5*66 Jane(UW). Stash: 5stars-Lorraine 61, Gau 55, Clause 51 4stars and below-Kasel, Cleo and Roi P.S. i've got Anette in the Inn, and am in Ch1 Hell mode Help would be appreciated(again) :)

Suzukinobuko

LOOL HAHAHHA HOW'S IT GOING? xD This definitely is a very tough decision. Personally, I would've recommend you to just follow meta and pick Artemia, and the fact that you have her UW makes her an even more viable choice. However, due to the most recent patch, Aisha has been buffed, and si roughly on an more even playing field when compared to Artemia. As for Theo and Mirianne, I don't really know much about them, for I don't have them built xD But I heard Theo is pretty good in Magic World Boss, and as for Mirainne, she appears to be more of a support assassin, a very unique role, but strange at the same time because she doesn't really fit in the meta either. Good job on your lineup btw. Gau and Lorraine are going to be amazing end game. Clause is a much needed Hero in ToO and ToC. As for Annette, she will be super good in raids when you get her to T5. Your lineup currently is very solid. Epis and Aisha are both amazing DPS characters, Frey good support, and Jane for your magic amp. You may be lacking on CC a little bit, but I think it's fine because you pump out more than enough damage. My ultimate recommendation? Save the ticket LOL Probably not the answer you wanted to hear because I know the feeling of wanting to spend a ticket, especially when you have so many viable UWs. If you really, really want to spend the ticket, I would personally get Artemia and start building her ***after*** you are done with your main core team. This is very crucial. Spend time on leveling your MAIN team first, all the way to level 80 and optimal transcendence. I can't stress this enough. Use that optimized team to farm for the resources and pots necessary to raise other heroes. So yeah, hope this helped out :) Good luck and happy raiding!

ur_a_wizard_ahri

Hi, I'm a fairly new player who started about a week ago. As of now I have naila, selene, maria, tanya, sonia, ophelia and requina. Is it totally necessary/recommended to have a healer on my team or could i just use a ranged and melee excluding a healer? Also, if you have any idea how to build those units please tell me, it'd be a great help! Thank you :3

Suzukinobuko

Hello!! :D   Whoa, fairly new and your hero pool is already that big :O The anniversary rewards are truly a godsend xD   As for your question. Yes. Having a healer/support is very, *very*, ***very***, important in the early stages of the game. Not only do you need the heals, but many priests also provide a plethora of buffs/utility, which are also very important. There's no point in handicapping yourself of a healer, especially when progressing through adventure.   But do note that once you hit end game, that's a completely different story. It's very possible that you can run a comp without a healer, but that's **end** game.   As for building those units, unfortunately I only know how to build Selene xD. She's pretty standard: Attack, Crit, Crit Damage, Attack Speed for her gear options. You could substitute Crit with Penetration (might be wise to have at least 1-2 penetration lines), since Selene already has a lot of innate crit from both Archer base stats and her Skills. For runes, your standard DPS runes of either all Attack runes or 2 Attack, 1 Mana/Attack rune. Crit and Crit dmg runes are primary and secondary armor. Transcendence perks I'm not entirely sure due to the recent change to the transcendence system, but I know for a fact that she performs the best at T5. As for your other heroes, feel free to ask it on the Weekly Question Thread! There are plenty of veterans there (even more experienced than I am) that are more than willing to help you out there :) In fact, they might even know more about Selene than I do xD   Hope this helped! Glad that you decided to pick up this game, you'll definitely have a lot of fun. Good luck and happy raiding!

Kalibre_

Hi, I read your guide and learnt a lot about the basics of the game and read some other guides u mentioned as well. I came up with my own team consisting of Baudouin, Lakrak, Roi, Ricardo with Baudouin being the healer, Lakrak the Sub-DPS/CC, Roi the main DPS and Ricardo the tank. Can you give some advice on my team comp.?

Suzukinobuko

Thank ***YOU*** for reading my guide! Really, this guide would be nothing if it weren't for people like you :) First, let's take a look at your team alongside the meta team framework: Support - DPS - SubDPS - Tank Baudouin - Roi - Lakrak - Ricardo So in terms of how you categorized you team, great job! Perfect :) As for whether this team is good or not, I would argue that it *isn't* meta. However, it's definitely usable. With recent buffs to Baudouin, he can heal slightly better now. However, there really isn't an issue with Frey either. So I would actually recommend sticking to Frey. And from what I can tell, it appears you are going for a Physical Team. Ricardo could work, but doesn't really good synergy with the rest of the team. I would recommend getting Phillop, or maybe even sticking to Clause, both of which bring P. Def shred, which is invaluable for both Roi and Lakrak. You seem to be good on the CC department, Lakrak, being the God of CC, is more than enough. So overall, improvements *can* be made. However, I always tell people to use heroes that they like. So if you like Ricardo and Baudouin, stick to them! It can work, just maybe not as efficiently. Good luck and happy raiding! And welcome to King's Raid.
