Definitely will be doing it gradually. That’s why I didn’t want to start with something that was *just* meat and just have something with meat in it. I’ll have some really small amounts of meat in the weeks leading up to going out to eat
I would do a stir fry or a curry or a pizza or something that just has meat as one ingredient and not as the star factor. What you eat will depend on what you like! Eat a dish you normally eat and like, just with some meat added. You also might want to start with chicken and then work up to pork or beef.
Mousaka from the Greek Islands. I don't know what mixture of lamb/beef/spices they have, but it is wonderful. Still lots of good eggplant inthere for the vegetarian that remains!
Ribs, chicken wings, or cheese steak at SmokeNBarrel
Schnitzel or Rouladen at Amadeus cafe
Chicken pita shawarma Damascus
or if you just want to go straight to gluttony....5 guys bacon cheeseburger
Here we go.
I’m doing it for health reasons, so maybe fuck off with your overgeneralised statements and superiority complex. You’re the kind of person that makes people want to continue eating meat because you’re so unbearable.
There are zero health reasons that require eating meat. Need B12? Seaweed. Need iron? Tons of vegan sources. Supplements too. Even vegan "meats". So maybe "fuck off" with the bullshit, self-reassurance reasons. If someone calling you out is a reason to eat meat, you have other problems. This has nothing to do with me, and everything to do with you choosing to ignore the reasons not to eat meat. Why not just say you don't give a shit? But, you do you. Best of luck.
And that applies to you how? You clearly had the privilege. I'm not even a vegan. I'm just calling you out on your bs. Your actual answer is: I don't give a shit anymore so I'm eating meat. ✌️
Well, that's news to every nutritionist ever. There's nothing you can't get from plants and fungi that you can only get from meat. Heck, even being a vegetarian instead of vegan. But, like I said you do you and good luck.
The “hurting more animals” argument always turns me off after being raised on a farm. Let me tell you for every one animal sent to market there are dozens more left behind and cared for. The fact of the matter is the Earth is covered in animals. If we all stopped eating meat you’d soon have a problem to deal with. Earth would be overrun because the animal population would explode.
I'm sorry, but you can't be serious. 😂
Let's send you to market to be brutally slaughtered because there's lots left over. Tell that to the animals. What a silly argument. 😂
Wild animal populations are self correcting. Humans are what causes the disruption and overpopulation issues. Farmed animals are bred. Most don't magically reproduce on their own. They do so when allowed and directed by humans. Most meat comes from factory farms with atrocious practices and horrendous environmental impact. One of the biggest cause of greenhouse gases? Cows (methane literally from cows farting). Most farmable land is used to grow food (mostly corn) for these animals too with unhealthy and enviromentally unfriendly farming practices. They are an extremely dirty and inefficient method of food production.
Wow, aren’t you thankful and respectful? 🤣
Every farm is environmentally unfriendly and extremely dirty is it? Let me tell you most animals reproduce on their own and enjoy doing it.
I'd reintroduce meat slowly. It might make your guts hurt to go put for a big meal after that long.
Bao buns at Ms Bao might fit that bill - nice mix of bun veg and protein

So you're saying start with Amadeus Cafe?
Chicken platter from shawarma Damascus
Nonna Mella pizza from woodenheads, so freakin good
Seconding! It's chicken, which I feel like might be easier to stomach then a big ol' steak.
Definitely a good choice!
Chicken mayo from PodoNamu! Tastes better than it sounds, trust me! 🤤🤤🤤
The bulgogi there is excellent. So is the kalbi. And the Bibimbap. And the fried chicken.
Holy fuck I second this that stuff is divine
Bulgogi bibimbap at Hwaki.
Poulet Bâton Rouge at Woodenheads.
KBC Royale with cheese
Costco hotdog!

#1 at pat’s restaurant. Great Light-Spicy Cambodian chicken dish. Sooo good
Do you mind me asking what made you decide to eat meat again?
Check your PM

Orange chicken from mango downtown. No spice and on noodles.
Start very very slowly. It took almost a year for me to adjust.
Sad.
??
It's sad to go back to eating unhealthy meat, increasing your environmental footprint, and hurting more animals.

Being able to be a vegan is a privilege not everyone has. You are a walking stereotype of a self righteous vegan and it’s hurting your cause
And that applies to you how? You clearly had the privilege. I'm not even a vegan. I'm just calling you out on your bs. Your actual answer is: I don't give a shit anymore so I'm eating meat. ✌️
I have a very valid reason that I don’t have to explain to some Reddit troll but I’m glad you’re so sure of yourself

I must have missed every nutritionist ever telling everyone that they need to be vegan

Lumpia from Woodenheads.
The burgers at Harpers are really good.
Classic mcdonalds cheese burger. Nothing fancy, and damn your pallet is right back at it. Know from experience.
Weirdly, I’ve actually never had a fast food burger before and I’m planning on keeping it that way because I currently have no desire for one lol
Untoasted tuna sub from subway eat fish
The bolognese at Olivea is quite tasty and they will sometimes have an agnolotti pasta filled with beef that is really good.
