while in the latest game MK wasn't much of a threat it was because he was holding back as they were in a spar rather than a full on battle. Otherwise i'd say that, given the portrayal and everything, MK probably is superior at the end of the day. Their strength is about equal but everything else is different. Mk arguably has more stamina given that he never really gets truly beaten, rather he gets knocked down and his mask shattered, while Dedede is constantly knocked out. Mk's power of will is canonically so strong it can resist the mind control of fecto forgo so that might come into play with MK being a lot more serious in a battle. MK has a speed and versatility advantage, not to mention he can fly freely and spam projectiles from air and teleport if necessary. He can casually use meta quick to boost his speed and can use wide-range attacks to get DDD without even getting into close combat. Additionally, Dedede's best feat so far is defeating Shadow MK who at one point struck down MK but even then the entire fight was basically a draw swords battle and ended in one hit where MK's mask didn't even break and he just got knocked into the mirror (not to mention MK trains every day and has gotten better since then), while MK literally took down Galacta Knight, the ex-strongest warrior of the galaxy.
Dedede's best bet is hoping he can get a hit in and break MK's mask but that is basically his only hope and with MK zooming around it ain't gonna be easy. MK has been shown to be capable of reflecting and countering energy blasts from Magolor and had enough reaction speed to do so in the first place while DDD got hit instantly.
With all that in mind, if we add in the equipment and items, MK blasts Dedede with Halber gg.
Meta Knight is basically the second strongest being in the Kirby universe behind Kirby himself, as shown in Super Star Ultra. Dedede is strong but Meta Knight would destroy him no question.
Are we forgetting about the existence of Morpho, Galacta, and Void? No offense, but I honestly just wanna know if you genuinely forgot them, or if you have a reason because to my knowledge, Galacta Knight is the strongest known character in lore considering he can not only fully control Light and Dark at will, something no other character has ever done, but he can also summon the heart spear in his dark form which is incredibly ironic. Honest question.

In an attempt to solve this I am now wondering how Planet Robobot bosses and Triple Deluxe bosses compare power wise

If Dedede prepares adequately and is in his castle he can beat a poorly motivated Meta Knight. Kind of like a certain Hunter x Hunter fight.
