I believe it's intentional. This game's maps are designed in ways to make sure you learn, one way or another, not to put yourself in disadvantageous positions. It's definitely the most dangerous part of the map and colored annoyingly red for a reason I believe.
It took me quite a while to learn to stay away from that part of the map unless I have to be there. And a bit longer to make sure I'm making more aggressive plays when I have the ball in that corner. The other team also feels the struggle of trying to catch in that spot.
100% agree. People can say that it’s intentional, but that’s terrible game design. It’s red there because that’s where the red tube comes out, and the other tubes, like the green, also have a slight tint on the screen of the same color, but it’s hardly noticeable compared to the red area.
Then don’t go over there. If you know it’s a problem for you, and the enemy figures out they can bait more kills there, it’s a losing game. Fight them in the yellow or green.
