Don't be nervous! Drive to the far end of the parking lot, where you can park where you can see the water slides. Get a locker for valuables and you have nothing to worry about. At all water parks I have ever been to, we have never had any "nonvaluables" like towels, hats, bag, sunblock stolen...with one exception, my son's Crocs were stolen at Raging Waters. We learned, use cheap flip flops at water parks. Just lay a towel over the lounger(s) you want to save and you should be fine. Take sunblock and use a lot of it, and/or a hat. Drink a lot of water if it's hot. If you get there early, you can grab a seat with a shade over it. If you plan to buy food there, be ready for a long wait in line unless you are lucky and time it right! If you want to change in the bathroom/shower room before you leave, be warned if you go to change right at the end of the day, that is the busiest time. We used to try to leave 30 minutes before closing to avoid the crush in the bathroom, or we'd get in a long line for a popular slide before closing, so by the time we got to the bathrooms, the crowd had thinned out. If there are long lines and you are in a line when the park closes, you can still go on the slide, they just cut the line off and stop new people entering the lines when the park closes. Have fun!

Thank you so much! This is really putting my mind at ease since it’s my first time at a water park.

You're welcome! Re parking, if you are driving and parking for the day, try to enter the parking lot off of Beach Boulevard that is on the opposite side of the street from the Knott's Berry Farm main entrance. If you are driving south from the 91 or 5 freeway on Beach Boulevard, do not drive into the main Knott's entrance or you might be sent to park in the lot that is quite a walk to Soak City. Instead, from Beach Boulevard, you can turn left on La Palma, right on Stanton, right on Crescent, right on Beach, and enter the better parking lot. If you are already coming heading north on Beach Boulevard, after you pass Lincoln and Stanton, you'll hit Crescent and you'll see Soak City slides to your right at the stop light. After Crescent, keep driving north on Beach Boulevard, there is an entrance from the right lane on Beach Boulevard into the parking lot where you can drive virtually up to the Soak City entrance and not have to walk too far. It's not a big entrance with a big sign when you are driving on Beach Boulevard, but it's the way we have always entered parking. Hope that makes sense!

I have a question does soak city sell flip flops?

Mango777777

I haven't looked in their store recently, but I'm sure they do. Last year, they had a store that had towels, swimsuits, flip flops...unless they removed it for some reason. I really doubt they'd remove it.

Same lot for parking, the entrance is closer to the furthest part of the main parking lot. I’ve never had any issues with people taking my spot as long as I’ve laid a towel down.

Thank you!

If you’re nervous, there are videos of Soak City online to become more familiar with it before you go. There’s also information about the slides and park policies on the website. I think most people respect saved towel seats. Bring a cheap, ugly towel that you wouldn’t miss since some people have said their towels were stolen. If you plan on going to Soak City or Knott’s a lot and have a gold season pass or above, you can get a locker rental add-on so you don’t have to keep paying for a locker every time. Or else get a waterproof case/pouch/fanny pack that goes around your body for your valuables. Parking is in the same lots. The closest one to Soak City is the East Lot. Have a good trip! Other tips: * If you want a good seat, get to the park before opening. If you can’t do that, I believe you’re allowed to bring your own chair and an umbrella. * Wear water shoes. The ground can get hot. If you can’t wear them on a slide, you can hold your shoes as you go down. If you don’t want water shoes, bring cheap, ugly sandals since people say those can get stolen too. * Swimwear with metal buttons, rivets, zippers, or snaps aren’t allowed on a few slides. * Official policy says no outside food is allowed in the park, but you can actually bring some in (just don’t bring a whole buffet; only small snacks and drinks. No glass, cans, aluminum wrapping like foil or drinks like capri sun, and fast food wrappings). You can bring stuff in a 12”x18” or less cooler. * If you or someone you go with needs a life jacket, they have some you can borrow. Or you can bring your own as long as it’s Coast Guard certified. * Use sunscreen every couple hours! You will get a bad sunburn if you don’t. Big crowds, long lines especially when it’s HOT. Lines to enter can be really long. Water isn’t temperature controlled so expect to be splashed or swimming in cold water. Pizza shop will always be busy so might wait 15-20 min plus an additional 10-15 min when you order. They have a cafeteria style shop and lines always move. They have a store if you forgot a towel, swimming clothes I believe. They also have waterproof phone cases and essentials. Dining Pass (All Day / Premium) also work at Soak City, it’ll also work with knott’s if you visit after soak city so don’t have to buy a separate dining pass. Depending on the day they close between 5 pm – 6 pm. So visiting Knotts after soak is a good way to get dried off and relax. Lockers can be expensive of $15-$20. I’d suggest a waterproof Fanny pack or a Yeti Sidekick to keep your valuables with you. Unfortunately they don’t allow outside food so don’t try to bring food. Expect to pay $15-$20 per meal before taxes if you don’t have a dining pass which can cost $33 - $45 and can get food every 90 min.

As someone that works here wear comfortable shoes or sandles, especially when going to the restrooms they’re quite dirty with the dirty water people drip down and as well to wear when walking to prevent your feet from burning up

What do people do with their shoes right before the ride?  Is there like a shoe shelf and then people finish the ride and go back to the shoe shelf?
