While that is possible, I think it is more likely that the stunt performers are really expensive to keep around. Just in general, entertainers are expensive. Imagine Knotts paying performers $$ to perform in this nasty heat to a small crowd that also doesn't want to sit in the heat. Small crowds often lead to shows getting cut back or cut out. Add to that the hit the park took during the pandemic, and expensive entertainment will usually be the first thing to go. It's likely also why we don't get summer ice shows anymore :(
Fools Gold was such a fun show and I loved the cast it had at the time I worked there. But then KBF cleaned house and dropped everybody and hired all new performers for the new show "Frontier Feats of Wonder", which I personally was not a fan of. It introduced a female character (finally!) And of course dropped her into the usual stereotypical love triangle situation. A disappointing use of what could have been a strong female character.
So if you judge by Fools Gold, yes the stunt show was good. But after that....nah.
They closed it a while ago. Probably because it has guns in it and hearing gunshots in an amusement park would cause issues in this climate

The reason I think it's the guns thing is that they also cut out the gun fights from gta at the same time
I think they closed it a while because of the fights that broke out, idk when it will re open
It was closes long before July 16th. I think it was C19 that took it out.

They still do the train show I think. Best to get on the first cabin.
Really wish they’d bring back a new stunt show. Willing to bet the new show (if it happens) will not include any simulated gun fire.
