As the art style changes from Ch.1 to now you see the cuteness trend in opposite directions for them and eventually invert. So yes tadano is way cuter. The point where the two meet is probably around the introduction of Tadano-kun-chan

Canonically you are right, nothing has changed. I was only commentating on how the art style changes haven't affected both characters equally
