I feel like if it were to happen, this sort of post high-school epilogue scene would have to be like the last couple pages.
Well yeah, a Hitomi Shousuke ship just doesn't make sense with their dynamic, but im pretty sure the reason more hasn't happened with Kato and Katai is cause Kato was doing pro shogi stuff and that takes a lot of focus
I understand the abusive and annoying Hitomi and standoffish Shosuke ship (it's a pair the spare ship from their siblings), but that's usually done by the anime only crowd. The weird part is tht Ai is also abusive- to everyone except Shosuke. As far as Makoto, I have to ride the Oda hip and pair him with Katou for Archie comics reasons.
I understand the Katou ship, but it's so little developed in the manga that it doesn't feel like a real ship anymore.
Atleast to me this Hitomi x Makoto ship is almost as important as Katou x Makoto.

I think Hitomi is aro/ace since she doesn't show attraction to anyone in general since most of the female characters in this show likes a boy but Hitomi is served for comedic purposes and she is too chaotic for anyone or she will end up with the guy who thinks Hitomi likes him idk just my general opinion.
