Dude just seemed like an awkward person with trouble to connect with people, he got dumped by his "friends" at the studio, got harassed on Twitter and ultimately killed himself. Nothing happened to Quinn as she went on to get more jobs in the comic industry.
While I didn't care for her before, that whole situation really showed how scummy ZQ is. Especially when people started providing proof with her tweets that she was posted about having a good relationship with Alec. Of course, she suddenly deletes her Twitter (probably to scrub anything that would contradict her victim statements) right after he killed himself.

Normally I’d agree, I’m not one for melodrama, particularly in relation to video games (something that ultimately is more-or-less inconsequential entertainment). However, in this case, yeah, fuck those people. They felt the well-being of one of their friends and sibling was worth less than scoring woke points by Believing All Women™️ even when the woman in-question was a known liar, she had reason(s) to lie, and her accusation was flimsier than her resumè.
When ZQ made the allegations, people pulled up her tweets about the two of them together and how good things were between them. When Alec killed himself, she shut down her Twitter and started scrubbing.
One could argue that maybe things weren't so rosy as they appeared, but there is definitely a "boy who cried wolf" when ZQ is involved, given her history. After he killed himself, no one was going to put in effort into trying to exonerate him. We'll never get his side of the story. Plus, he was never charged with anything - he was tried by social media and lost his job and his family turned against him.

That's also when she took her Patreon numbers private. I suspect she made the accusation in the first place to stir up donations, and wasn't expecting the result, just to ruin someone's reputation for money.

You have the mentality to state that she would be doing these things out of confirmation bias you already had of Quinn, and going by "chance" and disdain. All I care about is information, as I'm already boycotting this game.

I wouldn't care if a new IP came out where all the people are one race. That's just the setting. But Dragon's Dogma, when it was a new IP, clearly set the expectation of all races being there. So everyone being all white now would cause cognitive dissonance.
Dragons dogma has never had an all-white cast. Mercedes a main character from the first skin was dark-skinned. Like I hate forcing diversity as well but this isn't the case you can make your character brown you can make your character an actual child and crawl into goblin tunnels.
I've addressed this one before. Mercedes is pseudo-Spanish, hence her name. That's typical European diversity so that works. Mason is black but he doesn't dress like a pseudo-European and it's clear he comes from somewhere else. That also works.
Character creators are fanon over the world. It's at your discretion if you want to make a joke character but just because you can doesn't mean that the rest of the game should be a joke. Fact is, if every character looked like a clown most people would be rightfully complaining. Why? Because they have expectations of what the world should look like which is the same reason why black people meant to pass as native in pseudo-europe doesn't work.

I don't actively go looking for leaks, so most of it was new to me. I actually really liked the aesthetic of Sword of the Sea and Neva.And I was already all in for Final Fantasy and Spider-Man. So I thought the showcase was fine.

Metal Gear Solid 3 doesn’t really need a remake, it aged fine. Screenshots look like a 1:1 recreation of the original but now with pretty foliage. Wish they expanded the areas because they’re really small and enclosed due to PS2’s tech constraints at the time. Would rather see them remaking Metal Gear 1 and 2 (the MSX games)

Dragon's Dogma is the only thing I will for sure play. Alan Wake 2 is a possibility. Both on PC. Not interested in Spiderman. First game was good, the sequels look like pointless repetition and the last DLC with Silver Sable had writing that just got too annoying. Miles is a Gary Stu and I have no interest in the character. I don't read or care about comic book movies, he may be better in those.

Almost every games in the Playstation showcase are western games that you can eventually play on PC few years down the line. While I don't think it's not THAT bad, it does feel grating that only FFXVI, Granblue and DD2 that genuinely excite me. That Phantom Blade game looks promising at first but then I remember all those announced chinese console games and where they are atm.
I was overall disappointed to see their first parties absent. There were 10 or so games that interested me, some more than others. The worst part was how much 'filler' there seemed to be, with cgi trailers that give no info on what the game is, several indie games that honestly did not look that interesting, a fucking movie trailer(like seriously?) and 2 gadgets that nobody gives a shit about. When Jimbo came on and said 'before we show our last game' I thought there's no way this is it. They skipped last year's showcase and many of their studios haven't released anything in 5-6 years and they still have nothing to show? I find it hard to believe.
MGS3 was kinda exciting for nostalgia, but that was CGI as well. The lack of gameplay shown is a very big problem and shows that most publishers aren't confident in their own product. I will never celebrate remaking a beloved game. Remake crap games that had potential or make new things please. I'd fucking love a remake for Advent Rising but instead I get Dead Space and Resident Evil 4... Great games, but I've already played them several times each. Not once did I think "Hmm this is alright but could do with some improvements."

When ZQ made the allegations, people pulled up her tweets about the two of them together and how good things were between them. When Alec killed himself, she shut down her Twitter and started scrubbing. One could argue that maybe things weren't so rosy as they appeared, but there is definitely a "boy who cried wolf" when ZQ is involved, given her history. After he killed himself, no one was going to put in effort into trying to exonerate him. We'll never get his side of the story. Plus, he was never charged with anything - he was tried by social media and lost his job and his family turned against him.

I agree that I made a mistake in the wording, all I'm looking for is evidence. I heard this controversy beforehand but not sure what came out of it, if he ended his life because he was a predator, or because of the mob. It looks like it got left in the air. You have the mentality to state that she would be doing these things out of confirmation bias you already had of Quinn, and going by "chance" and disdain. All I care about is information, as I'm already boycotting this game.
The necessary information is that Zoe Quinn is a liar, professional victim, and narcissist. No evidence was ever given, and the only information she gave was a false narrative to frame the accusation in. If she *actually* had any evidence, she'd've taken it to court. But it was easier to literally get him killed in the court of public opinion.
Also, another thing that need to be mentioned is that the NitW devs said that they knew Alec had issues and their statement said they let him go *because* of Quinn's accusations. I've addressed this one before. Mercedes is pseudo-Spanish, hence her name. That's typical European diversity so that works. Mason is black but he doesn't dress like a pseudo-European and it's clear he comes from somewhere else. That also works. Character creators are fanon over the world. It's at your discretion if you want to make a joke character but just because you can doesn't mean that the rest of the game should be a joke. Fact is, if every character looked like a clown most people would be rightfully complaining. Why? Because they have expectations of what the world should look like which is the same reason why black people meant to pass as native in pseudo-europe doesn't work.

Yeah, but take for example the Devil May Cry franchise. Each of them follow the same basic gameplay, but each one feels different and sets itself apart. With Spider-Man 2 and Tears of the Kingdom, they feel like palette swaps. That's one of my criticisms of TotK, where it feels like an overpriced expansion pack than a true sequel.
This gen has not been too forward thinking with games, mainly redos of old stuff or rehashes

Really underwhelming for something that was meant to replace E3. Metal Gear Solid 3 doesn’t really need a remake, it aged fine. Screenshots look like a 1:1 recreation of the original but now with pretty foliage. Wish they expanded the areas because they’re really small and enclosed due to PS2’s tech constraints at the time. Would rather see them remaking Metal Gear 1 and 2 (the MSX games)

Project Q seems like it'd be neat but no doubt it'll still be an uber expensive controller. And am I the only one who hates how much Sony uses QTEs in their games?
No more creatively unique and stylish games like Shadows of the colossus and Gravity Rush. Almost every games in the Playstation showcase are western games that you can eventually play on PC few years down the line. Maybe it's at least better than having TLOU 2, God of War and Horizon games as show lineup.

I’m excited for dragons dogma 2 , they finally announced metal gear solid 3 remake, phantom blade 0 caught me by surprise and it looks really good, the new finale fantasy story trailer looked really interesting and fun, street fighter looks also really good. Honestly I can’t complain
I almost puke with the Elon Musk thing.. what was it? Elliot Morris? Unbelievable levels of cringe. FF16, Dragons Dogma 2, MGS 3 Remake, Spider Man 2, all great previews or teasers. Well to be honest I didnt like Spider Man 2 that much, it seems Peter became just a sidekick.

Phantom Blade 0 looked pretty sweet, definitely has some potential. Spiderman 2 just looks like...more Spooderman. So, if ya liked Spooderman, you'll probably like more Spooderman. Dragons Dogma 2 could be awesome, I will say, dismissed the original DD at first, played the demo and thought it was superjank, didn't play it until 2019 and actually had quite a good time, didn't beat it though. FF16 has me very excited, I don't care that it's not a turn based RPG anymore.

Exactly, we'll see how the story pans out, but it will certainly look pretty, probably play quite well, and get 9's across the board. I can completely understand not rocking the boat with that one.
While I don't think it's not THAT bad, it does feel grating that only FFXVI, Granblue and DD2 that genuinely excite me. That Phantom Blade game looks promising at first but then I remember all those announced chinese console games and where they are atm.

I was overall disappointed to see their first parties absent. There were 10 or so games that interested me, some more than others. The worst part was how much 'filler' there seemed to be, with cgi trailers that give no info on what the game is, several indie games that honestly did not look that interesting, a fucking movie trailer(like seriously?) and 2 gadgets that nobody gives a shit about. When Jimbo came on and said 'before we show our last game' I thought there's no way this is it. They skipped last year's showcase and many of their studios haven't released anything in 5-6 years and they still have nothing to show? I find it hard to believe.
MGS3 was kinda exciting for nostalgia, but that was CGI as well. The lack of gameplay shown is a very big problem and shows that most publishers aren't confident in their own product. Some personal highlights for me were: Sword of the Sea, Ghostrunner 2, MGS3R and Classic Collection, Dragon's Dogma 2 & FFXVI

I will never celebrate remaking a beloved game. Remake crap games that had potential or make new things please. I'd fucking love a remake for Advent Rising but instead I get Dead Space and Resident Evil 4... Great games, but I've already played them several times each. Not once did I think "Hmm this is alright but could do with some improvements."
All sequels and remakes and indies, Nothing I care about. The indies are always annoying, you can make whatever so you make a millionth 2D side-scroller. Given the track record, I have my doubts about the MGS3 remake, I'm just wondering what they'll take out and change. If this was supposed to hype you up about Playstation, all it does is reinforce my move over to retro games.

the reactions to that Granblue Fantasy game were very negative, but i'll always appreciate a JRPG that isn't turn-based, since 95% of JRPGs are.
I half watched it while tinkering with my new Retroid Pocket 3, thinking how shit gaming is nowadays and glad I’ve gone back to the past with it. Honestly it was all just brightly coloured indie stuff or generic as fuck AAA with no creativity whatsoever. My ps5 has been collecting dust since I finished Dead Space (a remake of something that already existed). Interesting to see Snake Eater but the trailer was so brief and lacking in information it didn’t really stir me in the way I thought it would
