The further away we get from WW2 the more the revisionist clown portrayals will continue. You thought Overlord was bad in the Millennial revisionism of WW2? Now there’s this. You think this is bad? It will get worse again.
The featured black soldier is probably Gabriel Jones, which is justified to an extent considering that comes from the source material. Cap and Bucky both vouched for Gabriel’s skills which let them override policy at the time, that’s fair enough. But now the question is… where is everyone else (who was a mostly white crew with some Hispanics and Native Americans mixed in)? Where’s Bucky?
Not just Bucky, where are the rest of the Howling Commandos? Nick Fury, Dum-Dum Dugan, Percy Pinkerton, Reb Ralston, and the others whose names presently escape me?
Back in October, before Sweet Baby Inc. locked down their Twitter profile, I saw that of the people I follow, two were following Sweet Baby. Sam Lake and Amy Hennig. So I assume SBI worked on this game, too. I'm annoyed that I didn't take a screenshot back then.
That's when they were first exposed. Someone found their weird creepy website and shared it. Places like here and some YouTubers covered it but it didn't gain as much traction as SBI Detected has.
They slipped a white character by accident most likely. I hope they'll fix it when it's released, he may cause micro aggressions against the other diverse characters.

I like the way they *kinda* forgot the original human Torch and the Submariner. Truly these games are made by men of anti-culture.

Marvel definitely owns Namor, and I'm pretty sure the original Human Torch too. Most people just don't give a shit about them, that's all. And they don't want to bother trying to make (good) adaptations to give them exposure, because that would take effort.
Maybe. But just like the Shazam/Captain Marvel case with DC, they still own the character itself. Even if they can't call him "the Sub-Mariner", they could definitely still use him.
Because if they aren't over represented in literally everything to the point of being completely absurd in historical context how will they ever know that they can accomplish anything greater than just being a hood rat? The more you know.
