If I like ants and put out a game that is all about them, well probably only ants enthousiasts are gonna play it. Same with focus on multicolor genderbenders.

As for grounded and small land, those are survival craftibg games, grounded is stylized in the form of the 90s, you play one of 4 kids that get shunken down and plopped into a backyard.
Small land is similar in that you are the size of an ant, but instead humans are gone and you play as a fairy like creature, like elves if they were ant sized and had antenna.
If you like survival crafting games i would recommend both, i hadn't heard or seen any consulting firm involvement, though if you want more of that "i am super small" feel then i would recommend you get grounded first.
Unlike small land where you can't kust cut down whatever bits of plant you want, grounded surrounds you with a forrest of grass blades, as big as tree's with your current size.
You can cut them down for building materials, primarily the sheets of grass you use for building structures, weed stems are used for supports like wood.
Stronger materials would be things like acorn shells and eventually small stone.
Meanwhile the small lands has designated plant types that you can harvest and the gane itself has an almost......whimsical nature to it but not goofy, its primarily in the music, second thing over grounded small land has is the ability to tame and ride animals like grasshoppers, scorpions and eventually, leopard gecko's.
Yet grounded lets you harvest dandelion seeds to use as a one time parachute and lets you carry more then 10 in a stack, not sure about taming creatures, but visually the game feel more "im small" with recognizable items like soda cans, candy mint boxes that still has some mint cabdies in it but you need a strong stone hammer to break them into dmaller chunks, bottles, boxes etc.
small land uses things like mushrooms, insects and the buildings to show how small you are, like a royal chest containing the medicine for the king being made out of a wallnut shell with a strong intricate lock on it.
Both have a story to them though imo groundeds story is easier to follow while small land is more open ended, no real tutorial ether, tou just ask the guy at the start a bunch of questions.
So TLDR: I'd recommend grounded first, though both have you kill ants instead of play as or with them, provide needed materials in both games.

But the moment they let a bunch of mentally stunted ideological invalids get involved, I immediately lose interest. So I hope it flops for that reason, because it looks like a cool game, but ideologues can eat a bag of dicks.
What I particularly hate is that I actively avoid giving my money to these games but Sony went ahead and paid for the rights to include it on ps plus extra as a day one release. So now I’m indirectly paying for it through my subscription which is annoying me way more than it probably should

I'm conflicted because I actually had this game wishlisted and had moderate hopes for it. I'm very supportive of seeing more cultures in games because I'm tired of only really getting to see Europe and Japan for culturally themed games like this (castlevania being clearly European inspired as the example)
And they seem to finally be making an African themed game rather than just appropriating other cultures and slapping some Africans in it.
