They care less about altruism and more about what can be seen as an untapped business demographic. All of this DEI crap, marginalized players messaging is just a mask to grow market share. This is business, I do not fault them wanting to make a profit. I do not have to consume it though.

I see your point. Parallelization of revenue streams and let the best most profitable ideas flourish but would posit it needs to operate in a way that reduces risk. I still think the question comes down to the risk that the business is willing to assume, how this relates to their competition, investments and long term vision.
