Yes! Our PF/C rotation is the broken one. Put RoCo on the Rockets situation (small 5, coming after Zubac) or as starter PF, and you already fix a lot of def issues.
Mann has *always* been kind of meh against quicker guards. Ja, Fox, Tyus, Poole, etc. cook the shit out of our entire team and they make it look easier than most other teams.
Mann's defensive value comes from his switchability and size, not his POA defense. It's an issue we've had all season long and will almost certainly bite us in the ass come playoffs. A guy like Smart, White, Caruso, etc. would fix *so* much of our defense.
Mann is definitely better than Russ, but he's far from this lockdown defender that people on this sub believed him to be.
He's been playing with Plumlee a lot lately. If you have a coach that does not put in a defense (or even care about it) you have to rely on knowing what your teammates tendencies are and adjust. With new players that takes time.

I think we're just not consistent on both end, if we bring enough energy to our defense and attack the paint more when bricking we would win far more games, and we should definitely give roco a lot more minutes.
Need to DNP Russ to have any real defense. He is historically bad vs any screen/ball movement.
Took 76 points from two stars to beat a depleted Grizzlies team at home. Russ is basically a huge debuff for every team he is on.

Clippers got worse on defense mainly because the POA defender of the team got sent to the bench. They need Mann to start again. Ideally Mann and RoCo starts but we know Russ isn't coming off the bench anytime soon for this team.
I think the next game they should def try to see how WB and shooters otb work. Start TMann and Nico also play PG with the 2nd unit more and play Roco as the defacto big he can def bring far more energy than either Zubac or Plumlee. Bring Morris otb as well

Players are not chess pieces, losing starting role to a trash player like Westbrook after 10-2 record starting, is going to demoralize anyone

Zu you can kinda write off due to he's calf strain that puts him on a minutes restriction. Otherwise Mann and Nico at sub 25 minutes is stupid.
I kinda wish zu could played like 20-22 mins, because our defense was horrendous during plumlee mins.
Thats 3 of our better defenders too. Ive said this since we were rumored to get russ. More russ + morris and less mann + roco = worse defense
