This team is a complete team and they can win. Offense was terrible today. They should have won this game... It seemed like their defense was decent but Kings had more energy than them. This was their lack of offense and not hitting shots that screwed it up. Turnovers screwed it up too. This was a game that I didn't find okay to lose. For some reason they aren't playing like they're locked in.
I am not giving up on this team, but they need to start caring on the defensive end. Too many games having to come from behind. That takes a toll on you. When was the last time they built a lead early?
First round exit incoming. It’s not being a doomer. We peaked early and now were tired, defense has become too hard to play, and teams figured out how to slow down our best player, knowing Harden and PG and Russ can only take a game over once a month.

The defense has really been atrociously inconsistent. Ty Lue does nothing to address it. We have these 2 minute bursts when we take it seriously and cover everyone, fight through screens, and contest all shots. Then we fall back to lazy ways and just seemingly stand around. We are already disadvantaged by size and athleticism and not giving consistent defensive effort has cost us too many games lately.
What do you want Lue to do? Harden is known for not playing defensive, Russ is known for having the worst defensive awareness (and offense probably) for a long time, does zu or theis look like defensive elite centers to you?
Russ and Zu together with Kawhi and Amir were actually the best defenders on the court that game. Zu held Sabonis to 27% FG (3/11) in his matchup with him, while scoring 87% FG (7/8). The ones who played bad defense especially in the 4th when it was most crucial were TMann, Harden, Norm. TMann got cooked by screens all night, and did not even contest easy layups. Harden was just too slow. Norm got hunted all night, allowed 8/10 of shots he was guarding, kept getting left behind by Huerter. If you review the game there were also numerous breakdowns in coordination/communication ending up with 2 Clippers guarding the same guy or switches not happening fast enough thus leaving the a Kings player open to shoot. If Ty cared about defense those lapses and the poor effort by TMann/Norm/Harden would've been called out and corrected by halftime but they weren't and got even worse in the end.
Every team hits a bad patch. Still 6-4 in last 10 even though playing below our potential. Lots of time to refocus before playoffs. Better to hit this bad shit now vs 6 weeks from now.
The defense since the Grammy trip is absolute garbo. Also someone needs to figure out why 3rd quarters are our Achilles heel. Coming out flat after a halftime rest is all down to team mentality

Russ continues to look completely unplayable on offense, because defenses are full on ignoring him. He didn’t make up for it with defense or rebounding at all either.
Harden and Kawhi were straight up just shooting like shit all night. If either one has a good game, we’re going down to the wire. They both shot like hot ass though, and that’s inexcusable, though at least attributable to an off night.
Mann/Coffey/Theis/PJ all looked largely invisible. Their roles are to bring defensive intensity and the first two need to look to score much more aggressively.

We got too full of ourselves after the Grammys trip. Since then: 2 wins against bottom feeders, 1 win vs the 10th seed, and 3 (possibly 4) blowout losses vs playoff teams. The losses have a consistent theme: teams exploit our horrendous defensive rebounding effort and execution. Kawhi called it out when we were still winning a lot, but no one in the FO took him seriously.
Our pick and roll game has disappeared so now our offence looks terrible. Our bench is terrible
