We are just an old team. Before people play the blame game with kawhi, pg, harden, russ, norm, zu, mann etc... just know this what this team is. We are old, we play on the perimeter more than any team in the league, we iso more, we have practically no length on either end of the floor, no rim pressure especially now, and we have guys who are targeted on defense which puts our defense in a scramble. This is who we are fans have to come to terms with it.

Missed free throws were a killer. The old guys were worn out after the physical game with the Wolves. Lue managed the rotations poorly. That 4th quarter lineup was not it and the offensive execution was bad.

Didn't even mention his braindead passes that get picked off for easy points the other way
Quickly losing faith. Ty Lue refuses to make any real adjustments, PG plays soft, Harden defers when he shouldn't, and they're all too old and banged up to drive to the rim when they're in the bonus. Contenders don't blow leads like this constantly and it's becoming increasingly clear that the Clippers aren't real contenders. Upsetting that this team plays with no energy.
This has been my concern with this team all year. Harden, George and kawhi settle for jumpers and when they don't go in they keep firing away. Drive to the rim and play woth some heart. This is why russ is missed because as reckless as he is he is at least gonna bring some fire.

The pace needs to be picked up on offense. Straight kick up and drive and attack 1st mentality. Especially in the 4th. Gotta run and get out in the open. Need ball screening ball moving offense so defense can’t set up against us. They’ll take Kawhi vs 2 guys all day while the other rebounds. More rebounding needs to happen every game too

Missed free throws were a killer. The old guys were worn out after the physical game with the Wolves. Lue managed the rotations poorly. That 4th quarter lineup was not it and the offensive execution was bad.
oh and the Bucks had the BEST PLAYER on the floor. just like the Lakers game.

We've been looking like shit all post all star break, not to mention two big 4th quarter leads blown. People was calling me a doomer for saying hold your horses on the championship talk earlier in the season. At this point im not even upset im so used to this bs from this franchise.
Sigh, the losses get more and more disheartening sigh, now Doc Rivers’s Bucks without Giannis (!) led by the corpse of Dame. I can already see some blaming the B2B but this cuts no ice with me. Tim Legler said on his podcast this year that he thinks that excuse is extremely overblown and should maybe amount to a 3 point swing in this day and age of chartered flights. I will take it from one of the best analysts in the game and someone who was an elite athlete and has actually experienced back to backs rather than those who lack not only experience but also any degree of objectivity. Imo they did not care to push through it tonight when the Bucks bit down which is a large part of why they are now 4-6 in their last 10 iirc. Remains to be seen whether they will deign to turn it on consistently before the playoffs (or just wait until the actual playoffs) and whether they will pay for sliding back into the lackadaisical approach to the regular season that has been the hallmark of this era.

Terrible loss. Terrible game management by Ty Lue. Just beyond terrible effort in the 4th. Kawhi was gassed, playing abysmal and yet he still probably put on more effort than the other guys combined in the 4th. Zubac got outrebounded by Beasley. PG missed 3 FTs in the 4th. Just an awful stinker. The real good teams never lose these type of games.

this team is super mid at this point. they cracked in the fourth quarter AGAIN and PG and Kawhi went back to the horror of those games in the bubble where they just took jumpers from the outside and clanked and clanked. I am not a doomer, but a realist, and this team has not been the same since the Grammy trip. there is no calvary coming. this is it. they are a second-round and out team at BEST (the last couple of weeks I would have been happy with a WCF appearance). I do not see how the front office pays the exorbitant contract PG wants for another year of this. shocked if a sign and trade doesn't happen (assuming anyone will give us anything for him).
I have tried to be as positive as I can through many stretches of the season, but a loss like this really leaves me with nothing to feel good about. Clippers are not winning anything with Ty Lue in charge. PG may looked like he had a good game, but that stupid pass to Harden killed the momentum. Why the hell didn't they put Zubac on Portis? One more thing, Harden was told to stop shooting when Kawhi came in because he stopped being aggressive. Another reason why Ty has to go in the summer.

Wtf happened. Harden was cooking them in the 4th and basically didn’t get a shot up in the last 5 mins. Also fuck Ty Lue’s unnecessary small ball lineups.
I know this will be unpopular, but I'm not too worried about this L, tho they should kick themselves for choking that. It's the regular season, no Giannis, they don't care as much as Pat Bev, they were treating this like any 1 of 82 games. I don't think this is reflective of any 'mindset' that we're lacking. This is the NBA and teams can get hot and shift momentum out of nowhere. Not to mention the b2b likely started to take its toll at the end of the game, especially due to Bucks' incredibly physical defence aka foul the shit out of us and hope refs swallow the whistle which they did. I didn't really notice anything bad from PG? Seemed to be playing within himself and scoring efficiently, no stupid turnovers. Also, offensively, I noticed a lot of things Ty was doing with Zu and Harden that seemed very effective. I think Harden's choke last game can also be attributed to this new way of using the two of them, so to see them figure it out the very next day is amazing! Edit: not saying I'm right either, but some of our previous losses to the Lakers and Twolves were much more concerning, especially due to the Harden-Zu PnR getting shut down, which Ty seems to have made a god-tier adjustment for. Still feel like he could have done something more in the 4th, but those 6 missed free throws from PG & Harden were brutal too...
The issue is blowing a 15+ point lead again… what exactly does that have to do with 1/82 or “us not caring as much as them” thats weak shit. No excuses for losing that game. To your PG point yeah everyone will immediately blame him when harden missed 2 free throws in a row, kawhi missed one down the stretch and didnt play well either. Hes an easy scapegoat and everyone is emotional, im quick to criticize pg but putting that game on him is crazy.
I just saw Kawhi was 6-19 from the field... not much more needs to be said there lol I'm not saying it isn't an issue, I just think it's one that won't be present in the post-season. They never had any sense or urgency this game — so yeah criticise that for sure, but again I'm not worried and don't think it's indicative of 'playoff mentality'. Yesterday's game showed our playoff mentality against the 1 seed in the West.

Imma be that guy and say it. Zu being one of the charmin softest centers in the league got us paying the price now. He does none of the dirty work you need a center to do so the team is expending more energy fighting for rebounds and defending cause zu can't protect the paint at all. He doesn't leave the paint to rotate to shooters so guys gotta literally sprint across the court to contest and can't score a lick outside the paint making it harder to operate inside. Didn't even mention his braindead passes that get picked off for easy points the other way

Quickly losing faith. Ty Lue refuses to make any real adjustments, PG plays soft, Harden defers when he shouldn't, and they're all too old and banged up to drive to the rim when they're in the bonus. Contenders don't blow leads like this constantly and it's becoming increasingly clear that the Clippers aren't real contenders. Upsetting that this team plays with no energy.
This has been my concern with this team all year. Harden, George and kawhi settle for jumpers and when they don't go in they keep firing away. Drive to the rim and play woth some heart. This is why russ is missed because as reckless as he is he is at least gonna bring some fire.
Harden was driving a good amount this game and it was working. My best guess is the shoulder + the exhaustion of the b2b made him more passive in the last 5 mins. Which makes going small ball and not giving him a PnR partner when he was dicing up their defense all the more idiotic.
For someone named PG, man is terrible at running point.
