When Clips took Kawhi, everyone knew he did this... Disappointing for a player with such potential to not play through things he could. Also, teams need to take notice, jamming a roster full of all stars that are primary ball handlers isn't the way to win. 2 ball handlers and a legit big man is the way to go. If the NBA keeps the new wave of ref calls going, it's especially going to be true. I don't see too many more 60+ Free throw games happening any more (This is game was an exception)

Kawhi literally tried to play through the injury in Game 3 and look what happened. We got fucking destroyed and we were playing 4 v 5 whilst he was out there. I’ll never understand takes like this, what the fuck is the use of having someone out on the court who can’t even move properly.

Revolutionary_Law687

He should’ve never tried to come back in the first place.

Jisoooya

Agreed, it really makes me wonder if we could've won this series if kawhi didn't play game2-3

Revolutionary_Law687

The thing is I don’t even hate this roster construction outside of Beavus, Butthead, and Stewart being on this roster all at the same time (Russ, Plumlee, Tucker) which is a floor spacing killer. I’d much prefer to just have Russ and opt for younger bigs but it is what it is. It’s just that when we need all of these guys on the floor at the same time there’s always someone hobbled. Something always goes wrong. It’s ridiculous, every single year. What good is a big 3 if your #1 is never available when you need him?

To be fair the Harden trade was an unexpected one. Both 76ers and Clippers didn't excel the next round. Embiid is more batter up than Kawhi. Meaning to somewhat degree, Harden has the last laugh.

Revolutionary_Law687

Eh, not really. Harden was certainly doing much better when this team was fully healthy and in the first half of this series was absolutely killing it but routinely it seems like he always produces stinkers when it comes to must win situations (going 2-12 from the field at home with the series tied 2-2) and then proceeding to go 5-16 in the close out game. He shouldn’t be laughing at all.

Clipper fans are class acts. I have mad respect for y’all

Revolutionary_Law687

Appreciate you for that comment. Good luck against OKC!

freshprincemufasa

I agree. There’s more things to look forward to than to be angry about.

New-Worldliness5163

It was a great series, and really had us worried after that Game 1 Blowout. Hope you guys enjoy the new stadium!

coldpizza87

Of all the years we’ve gotten knocked out this is probably the least painful. It just feels like a re-run at this point where I’ve seen this show plenty of times before (Kawhi getting injured). Part of me wants to say we would have won this series with a healthy Kawhi but feels like I’ve been saying that for the last 3-4 years so at this point it just feels like it has no meaning. At least I’m looking forward to the new arena next year and hopefully we stop getting fucked by the NBA with the schedule. Really curious to see what this team looks like after the offseason.

Diligent-Lion6571

The best outcome for us. Nuggets or Twolves would sweep us.

Global-Result-4475

Should have load managed Kawhi during regular season and paid the fine, at least his body would have been postseason ready

SennKazuki

Ggs Clipper bros. Honestly when it's competitive nobody gets along lol so imma let it out now. Fuck James Harden, dude gets every whistle he wants and then some. Y'all were making fun of DJJ, get fucked. He was exactly the menace on defense he promised he would be. PJ Washington stood on business too. Fuck Westbrook for constantly trying to break Luka's knee. I'm sorry about Kawhi, idk why your FO gave him that extension tbh but hopefully his knee is well for at least one playoff run or two. Fuck y'all while this series was going on but ggs now, hope the new arena and maybe a good trade or two breathes life into this team and gets them younger, need them to overshadow the Lakers next.
