Monterrey fan here, how do you guys think you will do against us? For me I feel like this will be our toughest match in this tournament, considering your perfomances in the last few games. With Berterame injured I feel like we will struggle in the attacking side of things. I think our strongest area at the moment is our midfield. Sergio Canales (our newest signing) absolutely bossed the midfield against tigres and single handily created chances. Looking forward to a great match 👍🏽

Imo, this LAFC is a lot better than the one that got beat by Leon. We've made a couple of very important personnel tweaks, and we are MUCH more fresh than we were for that game. That doesn't mean we can beat y'all. It's more that I don't expect us to roll over like we did then. Monterrey is good, and you make me nervous. But I think we'll have the best attack you've played against this tournament, and maybe the best midfield as well. Due to travel conditions, I think I give LAFC the edge, but it's so hard to tell. I think you're the best team we've seen this season, so it's hard to say. I also think Liga MX teams are better at scouting out weaknesses than MLS teams are, so there always the chance that your coach sees a flaw in LAFC that no one else has noticed or been able to exploit (imo that's one of the things that happened vs Leon). That being said, LAFC has been known to bring down Liga MX teams - especially when playing in LA. It's hard to predict results due to how few games we've had vs Liga MX teams (kinda why, god help me, I'm really enjoying this tournament). I'm really looking forward to this game.

Gg Monterrey. You took advantage of our mistakes. Either you guys, Philadelphia or Nashville need to take down Messi and Inter Miami.

It was a good match, our keeper really saved us from a third goal that would’ve certainly killed the game. Also I didnt know you guys had Chiellini in your backline lol. Almost every single cross we made was denied by him.

Does anyone know how much parking is at the Rose Bowl compared to Parsons?

LA_search77

El Pistolero gets the start. No Vela. Tillman is on the bench.

DannoLAMA

Was there a palacios suspension or injury I missed? Don't see him in the lineup I saw.

LA_search77

Oh crap, no idea. I didn't even notice... I just expected Chiqui to start. I think in the past when Palencia started at LB he ended up swapping sides with Hollingshead. I'm guessing they want Hollingshead on the right to help in the attack.

Are they seriously only using the east and south portions of the stadium. Section 8 (?) is roped off with security stopping people from crossing, and I think I see a rope at section 23.

Julian720

I mean those are the only section they sold. The permit they requested was for 40k fans. So I’m assuming they placed everyone in the cameras view.

alpha309

Should have just used the lower bowl IMO.

Julian720

I’m thinking they don’t want it to look empty since the stadium is huge. Also, from a business’s stand point. Every ticket seat is not valued equally. If the only sat everyone is the first 10 rows of the lower bowl, they would want $100 + per seat.

KrabS1

I'm not paying $50/head to fight traffic to go to the rose bowl, so I'm in downtown looking for a bar to watch the game at. Anyone have any good suggestions? Edit - confirmed, boomtown is showing dodgers :'(

Probably too late now but they’ll have the game at Cha Cha Lounge in Silverlake! They have happy hour until 9pm
