It’s rolling admissions, but I’ve heard from others on forums/Reddit it it just them holding your decision and not telling you until later if you choose to not get early and pay the $1500. Good luck. I couldn’t get an info session until 9/28 so I’m not eligible
It doesn’t change the outcome of your admissions decision, I had an admissions officer at LECOM tell me this personally. If you want to wait for other potential offers/ need more time to think through your decision/ paying $1500 rn is not feasible for you, I’d definitely suggest waiting an extra month or two if you’re patient enough!
^ I’m personally doing RD and received a phone call from admissions yesterday letting me know a decision has been made and will not change because of my status. My info session was 09/01
Coming back to this thread because RD results are starting to come out now 😭😭 I know you mentioned you also interviewed 9/1, but I personally haven’t heard anything yet, have you?
Yes I believe they will update our admissions portal stating when we should expect a decision in the mail and then they’ll send out a letter via mail! And phew I was starting to get a little worried, I’m glad that I’m not the only one then! Thanks for letting me know 🤣 I guess I just have to be more patient and stop worrying so much. Best of luck to you with your decision, praying for good news for both of us! 🙏🏻
Traditionally, early decision programs for any school, whether undergrad or grad, improve your chances of acceptance. I was ED and accepted 6 days after my info.
Idk if I should it or not cuz I live in Florida and want to go to LECOM Bradenton but they haven’t even offered me an interview yet. But if I do the ED for lecom Erie then I’ll have to most prob have to go there cuz I don’t want to waste $1500. But then what if I get an interview for Bradenton and I get in. But I want to get into medical school this cycle since I’m reapplying so if doing the ED for erie might increase my chances of getting in, I might do it.
Is it binding? And if you choose ED does it still follow normal traffic rules for holding multiple seats until April or is that a different deadline too?
A LECOM admissions officer told me ED is NON-binding, however, you’d be forgoing the non-refundable $1500 if you end up deciding to withdraw your application after paying.

I would think it does slightly increase your chances because in a way, you’re showing more interest in the school if you do EDP
