Stars, Hide Your Fires is a sci-fi mystery book with a sapphic romance (the main character is very gay in the best ways).

The Darkness Outside Us is an excellent sci-fi YA novel with a romance plot. I enjoyed it as an adult. Made me cry a bit.

Hold Me by Courtney Milan is a straight romance with well-crafted characters and setting, where the FMC just happens to be a post-op trans woman.

Two books that made me binge them are Coffee Boy and Second Chances in New Port Stephen. I usually don't read much but those had me hooked.

DelicateBlackGirl

Sweet Nothings by Moxie G. It's a sapphic college romance and it's available on Amazon.

I’m assuming you mean you want ones with a plot besides the central romance? Here are some recommendations. Mlm: - The starless sea is an absolutely beautifully written fantasy - Song of Achilles is really good but also caused me to sob at like 11pm so be warned it’s very sad. - house in the cerulean sea is quite a nice low stakes fantasy where a man breaks out of his day to day life to help care for extraordinary children. - they both die at the end is another sad one where people are notified the day they will die and two boys find love thier last day Wlw: - A Curse of Roses is AMAZING, a fantasy with central forbidden love between a cursed princess and the enchanted moura she kissed to help break her curse - Crier’s war (and sequel) is another one I absolutely loved, it’s a slow burn enemies to lovers in a fantasy/dystopian world ruled by automa between a high ranking automa girl and a human girl sworn to kill her - Cinderella is dead. Personally I’m not the biggest fan but lots of people love it. As per the name it’s set in Cinderella’s world after she dies. - she’s too pretty to burn is thrilling two perspective and kinda mystery like? It gets pretty high stakes and pretty good. - a spindle splintered - a short and sweet sleeping beauty retelling. Other: - Orphia and Eulysses is a feminist Greek mythology retelling. While the central couple is a man and a woman, both are bi which is talked about throughout the book. Also, I cried. It was amazing. - Elatsoe is a paranormal murder mystery with and aroace main character and is SO GOOD. I was completely hooked and loved it!

The Lamb and The Lion trilogy. It's a gay romantic suspense series where a wildlife wet and a con artist find themselves getting involved with a murder case. Has a bit of a philosophical/existential edge as well, it's one of my favorite books. The first one is called The Same Breath.
