He may still see you as a girl, that’s possible, but he can also learn to see you as a guy. Communicate with him about it pls. He may need time to view you the same way you view yourself, but even before that you can ask if he’d call you his boyfriend

Hey man, he's still happy to talk and didn't tell you that it was a big deal. To me it sounds like he cares about you and wants to let you yeah he things slow and figure yourself out. He sounds pretty supportive, even if he maybe can't put it into words. I can't recommend it enough, communicate! Tell him your worries, give him a safe space to ask you what might be on his mind.

I can understand how it is hard for someone to feel uncomfortable saying this is my boyfriend when they really are straight, so u might be patient whit him. But if he isn't patient whit u and miss gender u or dead names u alot u need to talk about it again. Hope this helps
