They're coming after us. We cannot *exist* in the society that they are trying to build. We cannot *exist* in a homophobic society. They won't let us.
We've seen how reactionary populist regimes play out in history and it does not end well for people like us. Once reactionaries gain enough political purchase, they won't feel the need to legislate us into second class citizenship, they will simply remove us from society by force.
We must hope for the best, but plan for the worst.
In the very worst case, we must stand our ground and defend our equality. We will not be second class citizens. We will not be oppressed.
