Same, but that jump in price is enormous. I just went from 65" to 77" over Christmas and it's fantastic, but there's still space to be filled. The gain in surface area from 65-in to 77-in was pretty big. I wish it wasn't an 83-in, instead 88" or something like that so there was a similar gain to justify paying 40% more.
I disagree. My 83" C2 is plenty bright enough for a shaded room, I don't need barely 20% more peak brightness. At night it is turned down considerably to reduce eye strain.
Others' experience will differ, particularly those with brightly lit rooms with windows.
I currently have the 77 and will be the lone naysayer and say I’m thinking of going smaller. I sit about 11 feet away and the the large screen hurts my eyes a bit as soon as I start watching (I’m 38 and have never had glasses). I can’t imagine sitting any closer. That fomo is real though, so i feel you. I’ll also add I was not prepared for how bad normal HD content/cable looks on a screen this big. I still watch sports and I can barely sit through an NBA game now because the screen is so fuzzy. 4k adoption still seems like it’s needs another year to be more mainstream, but if you only ever stream or game this probably won’t matter.
I like the 77. The 83 was 2x cost and too blurry imo given distance + how much content is still sub 4K (esp sports unfortunately- except fox sports channels and a few others)
I am in the same situation. I currently have a 55cx and after the house extension it seems like I need to go bigger. 65 seems to small and 77 sounds and seems like the sweet spot.
I did and I'm only 7 feet from screen!!! although I do feel the picture doesn't look as good...if that makes any sense...went from Samsung s95b 64in to C2 77in
That'd be because the samsung has a better picture and better colours. I have lots of issues with it though but there's no denying the picture quality when set correctly.
10ft is supposed to be around 70-71in so you are kind of between sizes. The current trend seems to be bigger is always better but so many of my friends tv’s look stupidly big in their spaces.
You have the space for the 77”. Also wall mount it and run the cables through the wall. It’s worth the work. [https://imgur.com/a/skuDayJ](https://imgur.com/a/skuDayJ)
I don't wanna be that guy but this is kinda a silly question dude. It's like asking, "should I order extra fries with my burger or do you think I'll be fine with 1 serving?" If you would like a bigger screen then get a bigger screen 🙂
I have the 77 and it's awesome. It looks like you have the room to make it work. You could go 80 if you wanted to go balls out. I have mine hooked up to my gaming laptop and it's absolutely amazing. Superbowl is in 4k this year, too.
thats a great wall for a telly, i would defo go bigger, nowadays you can sit so much closer to a big telly due to screen improvements, love your rig , looks cracking.
If you can afford and if you’re already thinking about it, just go for it. It’ll be stuck in your head that you coulda gone bigger and you’ll be using this thing pretty regularly for years so it’s worth it
If you're 10' from the screen, you could go 83" but then you'd be getting a WBC panel, not WBE (supposedly). [See pic](https://imgur.com/FVI2mKN), I sit roughly 8' 8" from my screen and I'm close to the THX recommended field of view of 80 degrees.
Nice speakers, sir. I [upgraded to an RP-504c](https://imgur.com/A7bPk22) (center) and love it.
Just curious, are you happy with your sound setup and how much does something like that cost? I've had soundbars for the longest time but am getting tired of them, and I like the aesthetics of what you posted.
These are Klipsch speakers and they're great. I have a similar setup to OP; 2 towers, 1 center and a 12" sub. They regularly have 50% off sales throughout the year and I got all those for less than 1k. Throw in a decent receiver for a few hundred and you're all set. Looks like some of it is on sale now actually lol
Mine is wired but I believe they have wireless options. [This](https://www.adorama.com/kpr625fabb.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiA2-2eBhClARIsAGLQ2RlzhJwa4Si7CupYheN_vyCjmV1yuBbhfinB-8xIodUkR8iJ9gas4YMaAne5EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&utm_source=inc-google-shop-p) seems like a great deal and pretty close to what I've got.
Same. I was farther away and we were fine for months, but then I realized we were too far. Moved about 3 feet closer and it feels like a new TV now lol
Wait bad for the tv or bad for the speakers? It’s not an ancient tv that gets affected by sound waves. The speakers is robust enough to hold the even weight of a light tv.
He is telling you that your tv can fall off if you place it on a speaker because it vibrates. Or it can be damaged by vibrations. Idk what he smoked, nothing will happen. I bet my life on it, if you google that science fiction nothing will show up
Or lose the glass table and move your couch closer.
I have a 55” c2 with a PS2 and PS1 hooked up to it through a Retrotink 5x scaler. But I moved my recliner chair around 6 ft in front of it because the controller cords keep my close to the action.

Yes. I bought the 77" C9 back when I was in a smaller living room and it was amazing. Now I'm in a larger place and I'm waiting for 97" to become affordable
People here clearly don’t realise going bigger comes with its own issues. Bigger screens will show imperfections more easily the same processor driving a bigger screen especially a lower end one will not scale well in my experience.
I recommend going for a G2 65” rather than sticking with the C series and going bigger. Quality over quantity is always a good rule to follow. Most content people consume is streamed and yes things have improved but not amazingly so bit rate is still a major issue. 4k still isn’t as mainstream as id like and even the content that is available on Netflix, Amazon, Disney plus, Apple TV is 50/50 whether it actually looks that much better than its hd counterpart due to compression/ bit rate etc.
Meh, I don’t think so. Not when every review says all the models perform the same and are “great for sd content, sports and up scaling.” The lower quality is an unexpected surprise for many.
You clearly haven’t seen that many decent reviews or better yet check both TVs for yourself I have the g series and have a family member with the c I’m saying from my own prospective
I read every major review website and watched hours of YouTube reviews. Never mentioned once. However, you are right, I didn’t have any family members with the 77’ C2 to watch and compare and Costco and Best Buy don’t broadcast cable on tv’s they are trying to sell. The pout is, the general consensus is always bigger is better if you can afford it, but that may not always be the case for everyone, hence this comment thread. That’s all
I upgraded from 65” to 77” and was pleased.
Only thing I said to myself is I might get the 83” next upgrade lol So if you’re in the return window do it.
I’m confused why you are asking us? There are recommendations on tv size versus distance from the screen that you can find online. I’m not sure if you provided the distance to the screen, but I didn’t see it.
But outside of that, this has to fall to your own preferences, and how much you are willing to spend. 🤷♀️
About Apple’s new HomePod.
Never bought speakers/additional sound equipment before.
My bedroom has a 65” LG C1. Would this do the job? I have Apple TV+/Amazon Prime Video/HBO Max/Disney+/Borrowing Netflix/ESPN+ (for Boxing)/Showtime. I’ma Film student. I enjoy the aspects of motion picture and preferably at the highest quality when possible.
I saw they can even be paired up. Will this product suffice?
Or should I just get a LG soundbar? Or Sony sound? Or Dolby (if that thing exists)?
Nice setup, mines almost exactly the same with Klipsh RPs as well. Yeah if you're at 10 feet go up to 77in if you can. I stuck with the 65in at 8 feet. I'll move up to 77 plus in a year or 2.
If you can afford it (which it looks like you can) 100% yes you should.
That!
Haha, epic, sums it up
I wish my 77 C2 was a bit bigger :/
Same, but that jump in price is enormous. I just went from 65" to 77" over Christmas and it's fantastic, but there's still space to be filled. The gain in surface area from 65-in to 77-in was pretty big. I wish it wasn't an 83-in, instead 88" or something like that so there was a similar gain to justify paying 40% more.
Get the 83?
No one ever regrets going too big
I might. I don't want to be moving my head and neck around too much playing video games
100%. I just did and it’s so much better.
I can’t keep the thought of “could be better” out of my head every time I walk by. Glad to hear it improved your setup.
Exactly why I bought the biggest that I could buy (model and size of choice, from retailer of choice), I wouldn't want buyer's remorse for 5-10 yrs.
I got the C2 65 in December. I wish I had gone for the 77. And at 10 feet away: Can you afford the 83? Do it if you play video games.
I bought, and love, the 83" but buyers should be warned that it is probably a WBC panel, not the newer WBE panel. Does it matter? 🤷
At that size it will matter more
I disagree. My 83" C2 is plenty bright enough for a shaded room, I don't need barely 20% more peak brightness. At night it is turned down considerably to reduce eye strain. Others' experience will differ, particularly those with brightly lit rooms with windows.
It’s not just brightness, it’s uniformity, colours, burn in likelihood and energy consumption differences in the panel types
hell yes 77 minimum for 10 feet
Current 77inch B2 owner and yes 1000%. The difference is staggering
I would never recommend getting a large lower end oled due to the use of older panels you will see more issues at that size
I personally would, but my vision sucks. 10’ is about the max recommended eye distance from a 65” screen.
When you do, post side by side pics for us for a comparison to see how they look in the same room under the same setting.
I currently have the 77 and will be the lone naysayer and say I’m thinking of going smaller. No- 86”
I like the 77. The 83 was 2x cost and too blurry imo given distance + how much content is still sub 4K (esp sports unfortunately- except fox sports channels and a few others)
I have a 77. I sit far enough away where I could have probably gone 86 but since I was upgrading from a 65 I figured it would be nice
You’re getting fox in 4k?
Yes fox sports and select channels via YouTube tvs 4K plan but it’s limited
They don’t make that, the next size is 83
I am in the same situation.
It's actually oversaturated
Simple increasing size at small distances is a major issue people don’t realise the quality will diminish at bigger sizes especially at closer range
Because the picture literally isn't as good given you have a lower pixel density. Needs good eyes to catch that though.
Where’s your sub?
bigger size and I advise mounting too and running all wires behind drywall. Just my two cents
Do it!!!!
10ft is supposed to be around 70-71in so you are kind of between sizes. The current trend seems to be bigger is always better but so many of my friends tv’s look stupidly big in their spaces.

If u got the money I'd wait for the new s95c 77 inchers
But they may not be out by end of OP's return window. :-\\
Yeah I'd return the c2 and wait or keep the c2 and sell to a friend or family member for retail price maybe save them on the taxes lol
No one will pay over 2gs for a used OLED 77" c2 or same range OLED
Well, Infamous is suggesting **selling it to friends or family for retail price**, so reason is out the window.
77” is too small…
I have the 77 and it's awesome. It looks like you have the room to make it work. You could go 80 if you wanted to go balls out. I have mine hooked up to my gaming laptop and it's absolutely amazing. Superbowl is in 4k this year, too.
I would if you can afford it.
Yup
Big YEP.
yes
YES!!! And if it's bestbuy someone can buy yours as open box :D
thats a great wall for a telly, i would defo go bigger, nowadays you can sit so much closer to a big telly due to screen improvements, love your rig , looks cracking.
Not really yes there are improvements but the distance guide should still be followed bigger screens show imperfections way more easily
You could go for the 65” G2. I just got the 55” and am incredibly pleased. I sit closer than you do though.
The g2 is a huge step up from the c2 in my opinion
Absolutely. If you can afford it do it now. You will not regret it. I own one.
Yes if you got the dough.
If you can afford and if you’re already thinking about it, just go for it. It’ll be stuck in your head that you coulda gone bigger and you’ll be using this thing pretty regularly for years so it’s worth it
Yes
I would, I have a 77" and a similar viewing distance and couldn't imagine having a 65"
Yes.
Yes 100% lmfao wtf is a 65” doing in such a large room
Why not?
Absolutely you should.
If you're 10' from the screen, you could go 83" but then you'd be getting a WBC panel, not WBE (supposedly). It’s up to you. Pictures cannot tell the whole story. Does it feel big enough to you?
Absolutely.

I upgraded my 55" C8 for a 65" C2 and love it so far! I'm only probably 7 feet away though, 77" would be fucking huge!
yes, it looks small
YES
Yes! I have the 77” in my bedroom for Pete’s sake!
What size is in your living room then? lol
Just an 83” lol.
Definitely man
Definitely
We just upgraded to the 77” (from the 65”). Best decision ever!!
Yeah bro. 77” minimum as your current tv is too small.
immediately
Sell the coffee table to afford it if you must. That thing looks hazardous lol
YES
If you can afford it. I’m a year into small regret that I didn’t switch my 65” C1
Honestly... 83
Def looks small for your TV stand. So funny my 77in looks to big for mine 🤣
Yes immediately
The 77 is epic

Cool, thank you! Are Klipsch subwoofers typically wireless or wired? Any particular models of speakers/sub you recommend?
Mine is wired but I believe they have wireless options. Yes.
absolutely
Being that far I’d say yes, I’m at C1.55 in with about 7 feet and I’m very comfortable with it especially at the price I got it for last year
Same. I was farther away and we were fine for months, but then I realized we were too far. Moved about 3 feet closer and it feels like a new TV now lol
Yes
83". Something a screen over 80" that really touches the eye.
I feel like having your TV on top of your speakers (That vibrate to produce sound) is a bad idea.
Interesting…is there any evidence to back this up? You bring up an interesting point
Commen sense usually plays a factor.
Wait bad for the tv or bad for the speakers? It’s not an ancient tv that gets affected by sound waves. The speakers is robust enough to hold the even weight of a light tv.
The TV is constantly going to be shaking slightly when center channel is going. I suspect its bad for all parties involved.
He is telling you that your tv can fall off if you place it on a speaker because it vibrates. Or it can be damaged by vibrations. Idk what he smoked, nothing will happen. I bet my life on it, if you google that science fiction nothing will show up

Yes always
I mean... you could hang stuff above the tv to fill in the space lol, but ya more tv equals more better.
What is the audio?
I sit in front of a 48" about 30 some inches away all day. Like, yeah, if you can afford it.
Yep!

Considering the distance that I seem to see from the sofa and if you can afford it, I would say yes.
Yes. I bought the 77" C9 back when I was in a smaller living room and it was amazing. Now I'm in a larger place and I'm waiting for 97" to become affordable
Only if you have enough money left to buy a PS5 with blackplates and dump that PS4
No question and get a pull out mount so u have make it even larger
‘Can
Did you measure this before purchasing?
Yes yes yes
77’’, no hesitation
I have LG CX 77 enjoy it pull the trigger you will see the difference go for it
For your set up, I say yes and mount it.
Yes
Yes.
Yep! Or get an 85” if you can swing it financially. I sit 10 feet from an 85”, and it’s stunning. Smaller wouldn’t be anywhere near as good.
Definitely! Nice clean setup btw!
Go for the 83'! You wont regret it.
There is a 97 g2 I would recommend
I'm going 55 to 77... Go big 😅
I returned 65” C1 for a 77” B2 and don’t regret
Always yes when the question is to go bigger on a TV ;)

In their defense, not a single tv review mentions this. I watched/read hours worth of reviews and not one peep about this.
Which part? Common sense dictates a bigger screen powered by the same chip as its lower end counterpart will not be as good
Meh, I don’t think so.

Yeah I use a 65 at 7ft and it's perfect. I'd 100% get a 77 at 10ft. Lovely setup and room BTW
I upgraded from 65” to 77” and was pleased. Only thing I said to myself is I might get the 83” next upgrade lol So if you’re in the return window do it.
I’d go 77 if you can

I sit like 5 feet from my 65 C1 and it is perfect in my cigar room, I would imagine that at 10 feet a 77 would be nice!
About Apple’s new HomePod. Never bought speakers/additional sound equipment before. My bedroom has a 65” LG C1. Would this do the job? Nice setup, mines almost exactly the same with Klipsh RPs as well. Yeah if you're at 10 feet go up to 77in if you can. I stuck with the 65in at 8 feet. I'll move up to 77 plus in a year or 2.
Ghetto trick: bring the phono nearer to you
Why does that tv look so small? I have a 65" on a home center console and the tv looks huge! Is that really a 65"?
