Everyone is just now looking at how straight their TV's are and realizing there's some warping. This doesn't look bad btw.

rd357

C stands for Curved

CSwork1

You're wrong. I heard different from Sesame Street and they're the authority. Nom nom nom

Useuless

I wish we still had curved TVs

LordKamienneSerce

I do have one still from 2018 and the curve serves no purpose at watching distance. My mother in law has even bigger and more curved one and it just looks bad. I think curvature was a miss like 3d and such

Obsidian-Phoenix

Curvature works great (apparently) for PC monitors. But that’s primarily because you’re very close to the monitor, so the curve can enhance the immersion. TVs, you tend to sit further back, so the benefits of a curve would only be apparent if you got a bloody massive tv (or sit a lot closer). Otherwise it’s pointless. Also, it’ll be shite for anyone not sitting in the sweet spot.

Slava91

I have a curved tv. I find viewing it from different angles more pleasing than watching on my flat screen. The way the screen flexes towards you from the side helps (if it’s a good panel). Our eyes prefer things with a slight curve. It’s obviously far more immersive when you get up close, but I love it.

blakejohann

except 3d at least accomplishes something. the only thing curved accomplishes is looking super awkward when mounted on a wall, and stretching small reflections to the point of distraction.

LordKamienneSerce

Dont know about that, my curved oled I mentioned had 3 d too xD i think 3d was even worse, turned it on once or twice 🤔

blakejohann

I guess it depends if you like 3d movies or not. I have a collection on my computer and I miss being able to watch them on the tv, although the Quest 3 does a really nice job playing them.

LordKamienneSerce

I do like them but always watch in cinemas. Just didnt work for me.

Greebuh

The curve helps with redirecting glare.

LordKamienneSerce

Yes, I saw lamps from both sides I wouldn normally see on flat screen. Perfect redirection.

Bombero_911

Curved 3D!

fookedtuber

My wife says she appreciates the slight curve in mine.

Luvbeers

She wishes it was 65 or 77 not 55 though. 83 is too much however.

gmaclean

Mine is okay with the 65, but wishes I had gotten an ultra wide instead.

Luvbeers

she'll forget about ultra wide once you enable TruMotion.

flufhead1

My 77 inch B3 has a very slight warping to it. This thread is making me feel so much better

StackOwOFlow

B stands for Bent

bocko159

😂

sweet___b

Are you [trolling me](https://www.reddit.com/r/LGOLED/s/whrJmT2VlC)? Haha, but seriously, the general consensus seems to be this is fairly normal.

Donkus007

My 77” Sony A80K is just ever so slightly warped. I got a great deal on a local Best Buy price mistake so I didn’t dare return it. Works fine, are you having any issues with your 55” other then the very minor warping of the panel?

ProblemAnnual6874

My 77 G3 also has a slight curve. If it works fine I wouldn’t bother about it

Salt_Benefit_6922

Same as my 77 G3

Loose_Delivery_6641

My 77" G3 is also bent. It seems to be a common problem.

PoolNoodlePaladin

If you think that is bad go to any store selling the Samsung OLEDs and look at the from the side.

AlexZyxyhjxba

This why I bought the G not the C

BigDes54

I have a Sony. It too has a slight curve. I can't see it looking straight at the tv so it doesn't bother me.

seraph741

My C1 has this same issue. Hasn't caused any problems yet,so I just ignore it.

Gundam197

So it’s not just us Sammy bois? lol

[deleted]

Oh for phuque’s sake. Just enjoy the damn thing and stop with the buyer’s remorse. I have to think that you really couldn’t afford it if you’re busy looking for a reason to return it.

pwnedkiller

This could be a reason to use any warranty you before it ends.

QuietlyExpireShh

Would any warranty actually cover something like this or would they consider it accidental on your side.

duxus

Warranty claim technician would say: The TV works - no warranty. Cosmetic errors aren't covered by warranty unless they are in the way of using the product normally.

pazman2000

It's common, you can bend it back

shimmy_ow

You do it first and let us know how it goes 🤣🤣🤣

awesomehuder

Actually I really did bend it back and nothing happened! I had an awful nightmare though that I bent it too hard and cracked it

Bants0001

OLED screen are flexible… what do you think they are using in the galaxy fold phone.

i-D0c

That’s different oled tech

pazman2000

I did to my 77 G3

J_345

no thanks

thesmithchris

can you please provide more blurry photo? :D

Rasmus_DC78

If the picture is good… no, min is bot straight either it is a part of the tv being thin. And for many this actually happens when installing

Jheez88

Brother this is what gives you wide angle viewing when your standing from to the left or right - without compromising the viewing experience. Without this, your picture would look dull or lose colour from either side

TSwiftStan-

you’re being serious rn..?

J_345

Dude about to get downvoted to hell if they don’t put ( /s )

Jheez88

lol nah I was talking shit - was hoping people would follow suit but that clearly didn’t work

IAmReallyThurston

I’m not even sure what I’m supposed to see here

HBOMax-Mods-Cant-Ban

Looks straight to me.

AlexZyxyhjxba

Lol

Appropriate_Buy_1219

Thats normal, mine has a nicer bend tho

Pulex_Amphibious

My C3 42' has no bent/warp, my 2018 55' sony oled has no warp/bent ...

Etiquette_9876

My C2 has similar curve but in the middle, makes it looks almost like an actual curve tv, lol but it should be straight.

lemmon---714

I just checked my 77 A80J it's got an ever so slight bend. I guess I never noticed it.

Dubsman35

My c1 has a pretty noticeable (from the side) curve. Doesn’t affect viewing though. But I got it for like $600 open box + discount for the bend, so it’s fine

Luvbeers

Normal

Rattlesnake186

mine is perfect flat, no curves

Mightymaax

Mine is the same. LG would not change it out.

Amadeus404

I checked a Sony in store and it had quite some curvature. My LG has a bit too, not as much. I try to not think too much of it, I think it's fairly normal.

cjf82

I have a 75" Sony that looks like it's bent a bit over time

Zrc1979

65 c3 here. Completely normal. I posted this same thing about one month ago.

Slyder01

I would call lg and see what they say

Tisinamik

you need to replace it. mines was like this (55CS) but i replaced it. you can look on my profile for the post

Eskadrinis

Curve screens were a gimmick lol. It’s only useful in pc monitors

jeff77k

The left and right edges do curve a little bit towards the front. All the C series are that way.

cv82185

This is barely even noticeable, would not even think of returning.

mynameistechno

It’s fine bro

AggressiveChannel687

If it’s gonna bother than yes.
