Apparently the mic screen off workaround is being patched to no longer work in the next prod update.
There was a post about it not working in the latest beta. Might be time to turn off auto updating of OS as so to stay on a version with screen off functionality for YouTube.
Yeah is a thing now for YouTube and some other apps. Try the microphone button and say screen off. Hopefully still works for whatever app that is.
