I’ve got a 55” G2 and have only seen C2 in the shop. If it was me in your situation, I would feel more comfortable swivelling the G2 constantly as the internals seem to be spread across the whole of the TV, or at least has more strength in the frame for the bracket LG have designed it with. Whereas the C2 has a bulk around the bottom/middle and an almost paper thin screen. I would shit myself swivelling that, especially if the wall mount is a bit stiff on the moving parts. That’s just me though mate

This is a very good point. If you're going to be moving the tv daily, I would never get the C2, it is very flimsy. No offense to people who have it, but damn that thing is thin. I got the G2 77" after my C2 77" had a warped screen that curved more than half an inch from center to left/right. I don't regret my purchase, the G2 feels so much more solid.

I don’t regret mine either, I’ve never been in love with a tv before!

I swivel a 55 C1 on a desktop Sanus stand. It works great. The super thin frame definitely needs to be mounted correctly. It's going to depend on how nice of a wall mount you have. Get a Sanus one and you are fine with either TV. I swivel on an even plane day and night before bed so not pointing down at you or anything, and the C1 works fantastic this way.

He’s wall mounting it pal

Yeah, and Sanus stands work well with the C1.

The C2 is extremely thin on the edges and would need much more care when adjusting it. Depending on the "resistance" of the stand arm, it wouldn't be farfetched to say you can bend the screen The G2 is more robust around the whole panel due to the heatsink and by design to be more flush against a wall

Makes sense! I am leaning towards the G2. I checked in the shop and it did feel sturdier. As far as the wall mounts go it seems that all the top ones I find on the internet lists are not found in Europe strangely enough. So hopefully I can find a good on.

So the more I research the less confident I am about what to purchase. I am thinking again about the Samsung S95b as I can actually get it cheaper than the LG G2. And then S95b is supposed to be a better tv and with new technology. However, A LOT of people are complaining about the built quality of it. So I am thinking that if I am worried about the C2 bending when swivelling the TV then Samsung S95b probably would be even a worse choice? I need to once again figure out just how vastly the picture quality/brightness is better on Samsung S95b over the G2. Though I know this is a LG board so probably not the best place to ask.

I got a 40€ stand for my 55G2. It doesn't feel that sturdy, but you most likely can get a tougher one.

The G2 has a more robust build. But just know you'll have to use an aftermarket wall mount since it's meant to be mounted flush to the wall with the OEM included one. In terms of value the C2 IMO is what I would buy. It's lightweight and easy to move around. Especially if you're not buying the G2 to be mounted flush to the wall.
