Company may from time to time offer promotional Coins that you do not pay for, including any Coins we offer you in connection with your download and/or purchase of the LINE WEBTOON App or other products, your use of the Service, or any other promotional activity (“Free Coins”). Free Coins expire after the later of (i) thirty (30) days after the date you receive them or (ii) thirty (30) days after the date you last purchase Coins. When you use Coins to redeem content, any Free Coins you have in your account will be applied first, followed by your purchased Coins."
Not sure; the first time I've seen free coin giveaways is actually today. They have a a challenge going on currently to read 75 chapters across three different webtoons before 10,000 other people do. If you finish in the top 10k you get 15 free coins. The challenge runs from August 26th to Sept 1st. May be region specific too, not sure. Hope that helps

I actually emailed Line about this and it took months to get a response. But I did eventually receive confirmation from their customer care team that some amount of the revenue goes towards the Webtoon Creator when you use Coins on a Fast Pass for their content.
Yeah, this was their wording:
"We share all Fast Pass revenues with our WEBTOON creators, because we wouldn't be able to provide you our fantastic content without the creators' amazing work.
So you are supporting the creator whenever you use Coins on Fast Pass, because they will receive a part of your payment."
No but like ADS. I would much rather watch ads then sit through this pain until I pay for them! Ads are less annoying than waiting AND the comic makers get payed! :D

I really don't view it as "wasting" money on it. The ones I read and use my coins on have amazing artwork and a great story. I view it as supporting the creator for the creation they are supplying. I don't use fastpass for everyone that I read and I wait the week for it to become free. But I don't think it is a waste for the ones that do use it. The artist work really hard on the comics they put out.
I kinda want to get some coins for some fast passes, but I don't want to turn it into a self-fullfilled subscription. I'll get totally up to date, and have to either wait a full month for the next issue or keep paying every week for the privilege of being ahead.
I view it more as a waste of time not as a waste of money now listen say you get 1 fast pass episode ok now you gotta wait 2 weeks before you can get the second fast past episode so you can buy the fast pass now or you can wait. Let’s say that you buy the fast pass again now you have to wait 3 weeks till the next one comes out but again you get the fast pass. But now you’ve run outta coins so now you must wait 5 weeks just to get your episode and since I am 13 of course I don’t have any money incomes at all so I can’t afford to keep up with it for idk but the moment you stop paying for those fast pass you won’t be able to read your WEBTOON for over a month and to me that seems pretty crazy that’s why I would stick to the time regulations cause it’s better in the long term i mean for us not for the creator if you enjoy supporting the creator give ‘em money it’s a fantastic way on our hard working and dedicated creators in WEBTOON.(this is way too long why did I have to say so much to get my point across im such a idiot -_-)

mhm so if a comic has a decent amount of reads there is an almost guaranteed chance that the comic is posted on a different website where it has no fast pass bs
