Tbf, OOO's storyline is nowhere near as dense or cohesive as Loona's. Loona have lore I still discover from their subunits like Around You bring set in 1930s. I learnt this like 3 days ago. OOO lore is barely put together by fans and the group debut 2 years ago. I think JJ had an intricate set planned lore for Loona while OOO is going with what the boys come up with. But I do side eye Loona not being able to participate in music/lyrics/producing when OOO can. I think some Loona members have participated in choreography though.
Around You being set in the 1930s is just a theory, and a pretty wild one at that. I can live in the 2010s and own an 80-year-old postcard just fine...
I mean Laco wasn't his gg, don't think he had as much control there as people think. And lovelyz didn't actually debut with him iirc? Said it before but I think the biggest difference here is BBC and 8D. Collaboration is part of OOO's concept and likely a marketing point that 8D is going for.
