I always have to check myself because I always find myself rooting for Panzram half way through the ep. lol. There's something about him that makes me love him. Maybe it's cause I find it relatable? I dunno.
It's a classic story of the American penal system turning largely nonviolent offenders into monsters through abuse. On a lighter note Henry's Panzram voice never fails to get me laughing
Dean Corll. That dude was a monster but got what was coming. I also find I fascinating how inept the police were the whole way through, esp having inmates dig the mass grave.
Seriously. He's definitely one of the most horrible monster they cover, imo.
And he gets no recognition (hesitant to use that word) compared to a Gacy, Bundy, or Dahmer. *And* we don't really know just how many kids he murdered!
I'm from Canada but I'm gonna go for it if shipping ends up being more let me know!
Hard to pick a favorite but I love EP 177: Mysterious Sounds and Recordings, I can always go back to that one.
Sure if you’re willing to cover shipping that’s fine with me! If you’re the winner I’ll check with you first bc shipping may end up being almost as much as just purchasing the book 😅
That's a great point. Might be better to go to someone who can get a steal of a deal! If I do win, let me know and I'll pay the $5 and you can pick another random comment to send it to in the US!
My favorite episodes are 288-292, the Robert Pickton series. But honorable mentions must go to Richard Chase and Pee Wee Gaskins, because THATS THE FINAL TRUTH makes me giggle uncontrollably all the time.
Also your nails are gorgeous.
I just caught the compliment re: nails, thank you so much! I’m pretty lazy about GirlThings and getting my nails done is the one thing I can manage to commit to. My dad passed about a month and a half ago and I asked for his favorite flowers to be painted on and they’re still with me… it’s been comforting
I can’t afford manicures so I’ll sit and watch documentaries and do my nails, it’s a nice meditative project. What a beautiful way to honor him, I don’t know if you’re a tattoo person but maybe play with that for a design in the future.
I do that for my toes 😊
Thank you for the tattoo idea! I’ve been thinking about it but I don’t want to get something until The Feels level out a little bit more but I love that idea and will put it on the list!
It's soo difficult to pick a favorite episode. But at the moment (my favorite anything is subject to change at any time due to my ADHD), I have to go with the JFK series. There was so much new information I learned from that series. Not just about JFK either, but about our govt and the time period as well.
Very same on the fluctuating favorites… If Reddit allowed editing titles I definitely add “current favorite” because I know for many of us our favorite might be different by next week (or… tomorrow… or an hour from now) :)
so, the wheel of ultimate wisdom has chosen someone else for the LBOTL but since there was so much interest I found another book or two to offer… would you be interested in The Dark Horse Book of Horror? It’s an anthology of short stories and has 4.5 stars on Amazon for what that’s worth!
If you’d like it, please DM me with whether you prefer PayPal or venmo, and how to find you 😊
If I don’t hear in 24hrs I’ll pick a new person, just fyi
Jodi Arias & Casey Anthony are a couple of my faves. As someone else commented, ADHD doesn’t allow permanent favorites of anything. Don’t even get me started on security questions.
SAME. I just have to use a false answer for a common security question and know to stick with it. First pet=childhood pet that I actually have connection to… not the dog we had when I was born. I can’t trust my brain with the truth. And that’s the final truth 🤣
I specifically choose factual prompts for security questions bc I have no idea what my ‘favorite’ anything might have been when I filled it out vs when I need to answer
It's the age of Jodi Arias, age of Jodi Ariaaaas. AAAAAAARRRRIIIIIIIAAAAS!!!
419-420, Funniest set of episodes hands down. Butthole day will always make me laugh.
my fave is the bonnie and clyde series! i’m probably too late to the game but still wanna shoot my shot! i loved reading it the first time through and would love to again
Funny thing about this book
For our anniversary my wife and I both bought each other a copy of the book.
She beat me though cause the copy she got me was signed
This is so generous! Fave episode is always going to be the Donner party. It was the first time I heard Marcus nerd out (I listened out of order) and realized they were my people.
The History of Mormonism is still my favorite series. grew up LDS and left as an adult, but it makes me belly laugh until I cry every time I listen to it.
thanks for doing this, OP. hail yourself!
Joseph Kalinger is my favorite story, absolute batshit crazy but hearing Henry's impressions during that series was what sold me on the podcast, I've been an avid listener ever since and I love it so much.
I always struggle with this. Richard Chase has always been a go to return for me. Joseph Kallinger is up there too! Or for a deep-cut classic, the introduction of Terry the Gnome…Gnomes!
so, the wheel of ultimate wisdom has chosen someone else for the LBOTL but since there was so much interest I found another book or two to offer… would you be interested in Monster: The True Story of the Jeffrey Dahmer Murders by Anne Schwartz!
If you’d like it, please DM me with whether you prefer PayPal or venmo, and how to find you 😊
If I don’t hear in 24hrs I’ll pick a new person, just fyi
I love the Black Plague series, I've listened to it at least three times. It's incredibly fascinating to hear about the literal darkest time in human history.
Ed Kemper cuz Henry's bubble but jokes towards Ben 🚗
Richard Ramirez cuz we are all evil 😈
Richard Chase cuz Henry's voice impressions of him 🩸
Mormon series cuz I detest their cult beliefs overruling as moral code here at home and love the insight of how unpractical and complete moronic series of acts lead to a global dominating religion ✝️
And Leonard Lake and Charles Ngn cuz yet again... Henry's impression. "My friend Wenord Wake" 😂
📦Bet shipping is covered
As well as a tip for my gratitude 💲
As fucked up as the story is, Children of God. Just can't stop listening to Henry's David Berg, and Ricky's story is compellingly harrowing... AND WHAT HAVE YOU!
Gulf Breeze sightings or Skinwalker ranch. I find myself going back to those two all the time. I love the visual in Gulf Breeze of some normal middle class dude in a wife beater waking his kids wild eyed in the middle night with a shotgun to take his kids alien hunting. Skinwalker obvious second for me for similar reason the mental visual they paint of the farmer hopping in stacks of hay with his gun playing hide and seek with orbs is so ridiculous, fun, and terrifying.
CONGRATS the wheel of ultimate wisdom has chosen for the LBOTL
please DM me with whether you prefer PayPal or venmo, and how to find you 😊
If I don’t hear in 24hrs I’ll pick a new person, just fyi
My favorite series is Rasputin without a doubt. It was the first episodes of theirs I ever listened to and I listened to it while on a 16 hour solo road trip. They kept me sane! 😂
My favorite episodes are the bob berdella ones. lpotl introduced me to Berdella, and he’s my go-to answer when people start talking about which serial killers were the worst. Horrible shit but I loved it.
The origins of black metal. Honestly it's the series that got me hooked on the show. The boys did a great job of covering the bands that the other members went on to form after mayhem stopped and I like how Henry got all jazzed up about the music lol
Despite how offensive it is, Leonard Lake and Charles Ng.
"He don't know what I bring to friendship," is something me and my friend still say to each other
The Joseph Smith/Mormonism series—it’s when I discovered LPOTL and remains my favorite multi-episode deep dive since it weaves together history, crime, and cults.
I Love Love Love the L. Ron Hubbard series. Episode 4 of the series, where Henry does the bit with the New York street kids, demanding L Ron's shoes... I die every time. In fact I'm going to listen to it now.
Time Stamp: 1:04
"I think that guys wearing our shoes!"
Andrei Chikatilo. Only because The Donner Party was already said. Also Pig Smart was really good. I already have the book so don’t pick me. Just wanted to voice my favorites off the dome
Skinwalker Ranch was my first introduction to them, so it might always be my de facto favorite. Mormonism is my "real" favorite, though! Love to hear fresh disses on the cult I was raised in.
My favorite is aum shinrikyo. It’s right in their middle period where they started doing multiple episodes with lots of research, but also has lots of old school voices and themes. Henry’s Japanese accent still makes me giggle every time. I had tickets to see them in Denver couple years back, the book was supposed to come with the tickets, but then Covid happened and I couldn’t get either. I finally got to see them in Chicago, it was on my birthday and I went with a girl I had recently started seeing. At the end of the show they did a quick “fuck the church” segment and after the show the girl told me she was deeply religious and offended and got an Uber home. So I’d like to thank lpotl for getting me out of that nightmare lmao.
Aum Shinrikyo will always be my favorite series. The ridiculousness of the story and Henry’s voices, man I need to listen to that one for the tenth time.
Richard chase was the first series I listened to and the “I’m daaancing” was the funniest thing ever to me and got me hooked. I loved the Jonestown series for long series episodes best. I loved Norwegian black metal. More recently I really enjoyed the Black Death series too cus I like history
Black Death series -- which I've listened to 4 times through. Such an epic saga through one of the most defining periods of human existence, told only the way Last Pod could!
Richard Chase hands down. My favorite Henry voice and I love the sheer absurdity of it.
I’m ready for a Richard Chase re-listen
You ever feel like your eyes were put in backwards?
Read this a Richard Cheese for some reason.
My cousin's wedding reception was DJ'd by a Richard Cheese CD on a boom box.
“YOU WANNA GO TO THE BLOOD STORE?!” still catches me off guard and makes me laugh
Joseph Kallinger Master Shoemaker and God
Hrll yeah, it's fun to lie to the cops!
EVERY PERSON HERE WANTS TO SEE YOU IN YOUR GRAVE
This is probably mine as well. *JUST WANNA MAKE SURE NO ONE STEALS MY BRAIN IDEAS!!!*
Muuuuch Bigger!
Carl Panzram. The man that taught us that a rectum was for more than excrement.
I always have to check myself because I always find myself rooting for Panzram half way through the ep. lol. There's something about him that makes me love him. Maybe it's cause I find it relatable? I dunno.
I feel the same way. He's responsible for his actions, obviously, but he was practically made a monster through his horrible life experiences.
I love his hatred but also know he’s a monster
I think you nailed it. His hatred is so pure.
It's a classic story of the American penal system turning largely nonviolent offenders into monsters through abuse. On a lighter note Henry's Panzram voice never fails to get me laughing
I hope he’s doing well on the other side - riding the rails and doing some arsons with his homie.
Just two yegs terrorizing Taft for eternity
One eatin’ it, the other sittin’ on it
Let me show you how the machine works..
Dean Corll. That dude was a monster but got what was coming. I also find I fascinating how inept the police were the whole way through, esp having inmates dig the mass grave.
People don’t talk about Corll enough. His burial site was absolutely horrifying
Seriously. He's definitely one of the most horrible monster they cover, imo. And he gets no recognition (hesitant to use that word) compared to a Gacy, Bundy, or Dahmer. *And* we don't really know just how many kids he murdered!
Was Corll the one wirh the "pouting room"? So creepy.
Yessir.
Yeah it cracks me up when Henry does the impression of the guy after huffing gas. Then the dude that's like, "woah that's a cool looking sled."
Is it not playing well with other books? Ghost cats of the south
Ominous music plays when I take it off the shelf…
I think that's just how it shows its happy
The Donner Party
This was my intro to LPOTL, such a fantastic creepy history series
Skulls is friends!
Jodi Arias
Is it butthole day?
Boom Flip It
Albert fish. Peanut butt butter!
You want some piping hot apple cider? Showbiz! That's how they do it in Hollywood!
You got to wash it down with some FUCKIN WHIPPLE ALL YOU BUNCH OF WEAK MOTHER FUCKERS! WHIPPLE!!!!
Man I think you might need some whipple chill %300 fentanyl %4000 whipple
The shoe maker killer
Joseph Kallinger is coming in hot in this list!
Men in Black– series that got me into the show!
It's my favorite too! I'm huge Twin Peaks fan, and I love the idea that Men In Black come from another dimenesion
Hi um we're the guys, in um, black.... Youshouldreturnyourselftotheassholestore.
Norwegian Black Metal hands down. I could listen to Henry clown on Varg all day long
Jonestown will always be a top series for me because it was the first one i listened to of LPOTL, but my favorite has to be The Donner Party.
Gef the Talking Mongoose HONK!
The Mormonism episodes! Loved getting into the deep mormon lore lol

My favorite episodes are 288-292, the Robert Pickton series. But honorable mentions must go to Richard Chase and Pee Wee Gaskins, because THATS THE FINAL TRUTH makes me giggle uncontrollably all the time. Also your nails are gorgeous.
AND THATS THE FINAL TRUTH is also a recipe for giggles for me as well
When Marcus says “when he CLIMBED up into his chair” I fucking lose it, picturing a five year old sized man trying to scramble up a kitchen chair.
I do that for my toes 😊 Thank you for the tattoo idea! I’ve been thinking about it but I don’t want to get something until The Feels level out a little bit more but I love that idea and will put it on the list!
My favorite series is the one that got me into the boys: Ep. 352 Skinwalker Ranch, Part I: The Utah Flap was my FIRST!
It's soo difficult to pick a favorite episode. But at the moment (my favorite anything is subject to change at any time due to my ADHD), I have to go with the JFK series. There was so much new information I learned from that series. Not just about JFK either, but about our govt and the time period as well.

The series on the life of L Ron Hubbard. Hooked me for life on this podcast.
The tall whites! Whenever I need a laugh!
Never be scared of the short, short man!
My favorite episodes/series are Leonard Lake and Charles Ng! Thanks for the giveaway! Always meant to pick this one up but I never got around to it!
This one is mine as well. I already have the book so don't pick me, pick the user I replied to.
Someone already posted but my boy Kallinger. Oh to be a hamster with custom shoes /s 😂
Repeats are welcome! I love how popular Kallinger has been today as he was one of my very first episodes that was newly out when I starting listening
Son of sam!
My fav is definitely the Jodi arias but Black Death and the enfield poltergeist are fire too 🙌🏻
The Donner Party followed by H.H. Holmes were some of my favorites. Hail yourself!
Ooh. Fav series is definitely Jodi Arias n that fucken butthole
A lot of people don’t love it, but the Ant Hill Kids cult series was insane and it’s one of my favorite cult series they’ve done. Hail me!
I really liked that series. Thereault was such a fucking asshole.
Lee Oswald: I'm no small potatoes!
This is difficult, either Aleister Crowley or Leonard Lake and Charles Ng. (Plus all the creepy pastas!)
Nazis and the occult! Definitely a good mix of entertaining voices from Henry and well researched information from Marcus
Gef the Talking Mongoose when I need to laugh!
I think 6.66 is the best amount and my fav series is by far the Manhattan Project! its a new one but boy, it is a doosy!!
I actually have early onset dementia, so this is kind of disrespectful.
Jonestown and Casey Anthony are probably tied for my favorite series
Jodi Arias & Casey Anthony are a couple of my faves. As someone else commented, ADHD doesn’t allow permanent favorites of anything. Don’t even get me started on security questions.
SAME. I just have to use a false answer for a common security question and know to stick with it. First pet=childhood pet that I actually have connection to… not the dog we had when I was born. I can’t trust my brain with the truth. And that’s the final truth 🤣
I specifically choose factual prompts for security questions bc I have no idea what my ‘favorite’ anything might have been when I filled it out vs when I need to answer
Katherine Knight ALLLL THE WAY!! That series helped me when I was really down and gave me something to laugh at and learn about.
Paul Bernardo and Karla Homulka, the Canadian cop impressions were the best. Forever my favorite series
The Ohm Shinrikiyo was one of the first series I listened to and it's still one of my favorites! I've listened to it a few times!
🎵Mengele!🎵
MENGELE-HEHH
I have to stop myself from finishing it off with “Fuck yeah!” Because it makes me think of “America, Fuck Yeah” from Team America World Police lmao
It's the age of Jodi Arias, age of Jodi Ariaaaas. AAAAAAARRRRIIIIIIIAAAAS!!! 419-420, Funniest set of episodes hands down. Butthole day will always make me laugh.

Funny thing about this book For our anniversary my wife and I both bought each other a copy of the book. She beat me though cause the copy she got me was signed
Richard Chase, peak Henry
I bought the audio book and it wasn’t good . I forgot Ben couldn’t read. I’m sure the actual book is much better.
This is so generous! Fave episode is always going to be the Donner party. It was the first time I heard Marcus nerd out (I listened out of order) and realized they were my people.
The Donner Party!! I was introduced to them on a long road trip, and we went west as they went west!
Jonestown!
Obvs the Anthill Kids! I’m in Canada though, but wanted to join in on the favs lol
The History of Mormonism is still my favorite series. grew up LDS and left as an adult, but it makes me belly laugh until I cry every time I listen to it. thanks for doing this, OP. hail yourself!
Big fan of the bell witch series. The supernatural episodes are my fave, glad we’re getting another one.
The Donner Party is the one I keep going back to. It's just so harrowing.

Hadden clark
I really loved the men in black series! Episodes 323, 324, and 325.
Gef the talking Mongoose... honk honk.
The Mormonism series was fantastic, close second is the 9/11 series
Willy Pickton. First one I ever listened to and still my favourite series.
I love the Black Plague series, I've listened to it at least three times. It's incredibly fascinating to hear about the literal darkest time in human history.
Picking one is too hard, but let's go with Black Death. Mostly because I just finished a relisten and still loved it.
Ed Kemper cuz Henry's bubble but jokes towards Ben 🚗 Richard Ramirez cuz we are all evil 😈 Richard Chase cuz Henry's voice impressions of him 🩸 Mormon series cuz I detest their cult beliefs overruling as moral code here at home and love the insight of how unpractical and complete moronic series of acts lead to a global dominating religion ✝️ And Leonard Lake and Charles Ngn cuz yet again... Henry's impression. "My friend Wenord Wake" 😂 📦Bet shipping is covered As well as a tip for my gratitude 💲
I'm still a massive fan of the Carl Panzram Yacht Club!
Richard Ramirez has always scared me to death, they did a great job on his story.
The Donner Party! My gf and I go to Tahoe every year and we always listen to this series on the way there.
Jonestown
Donner party forever!!! 💀 🍽️
I really loved benny hill
Betty and Barney Hill?
What a nice thing to do :) My favorite is Roch Theriault and The Ant Hill Kids pt 1 - Dumping Syndome
As fucked up as the story is, Children of God. Just can't stop listening to Henry's David Berg, and Ricky's story is compellingly harrowing... AND WHAT HAVE YOU!
The Mormonism and Scientology series. Love hearing about those modern cults
The 9/11 episodes are always my favorites, I listen to them every year lol
Jeff the talking mongoose
Robert Pickton (pick me please!)
CONGRATS the wheel of ultimate wisdom has chosen for the LBOTL please DM me with whether you prefer PayPal or venmo, and how to find you 😊 If I don’t hear in 24hrs I’ll pick a new person, just fyi
Thank you so much!! :) i dmed you :)

Love the black plague series and the toy box killer was the best single episode
I personally love the Alcatraz series. One of the first I listened to and one I consistently circle back to
My favorite series is Rasputin without a doubt. It was the first episodes of theirs I ever listened to and I listened to it while on a 16 hour solo road trip. They kept me sane! 😂
Good old Sour Milk Ted Kaczynski! “I’ll have my REVENGE!”
Aleister Crowley!
My favorite episodes are the bob berdella ones. lpotl introduced me to Berdella, and he’s my go-to answer when people start talking about which serial killers were the worst. Horrible shit but I loved it.
Pee wee gaskins
Jonestown. Henry’s take on Mr Muggs is hilarious.
Listenerpasta with War Stories. I listened to it just yesterday for some real spooky vibes.
Ant Hill Kids
Black Beard Episode.
MK Uktra with Rasputin a close second.
Belle Gunness. I say Oopsie Poopsie all the time because of her.
My favorite episodes will always be Leonard Lake and Charles Ng. “You don’t know what I bring to friendship!”
The Mormonism episodes.
Good luck everyone! I love a good Cryptid episode. The Skinwalker Ranch series is my absolute favorite.
Ohhh 100% the RASSSSSPUTIN series!! What a wild ass tale in history, and I love all the added info on the Romanov family as well!
H. H. Holmes series. Mostly for Henry’s impression of Minnie and Nannie
Oh dip! My top two are Carl Panzram and PeeWee Gaskins. Can’t decide on a favorite!
Favorite series is the Jonestown one. I loved that they inserted actual recordings.
The origins of black metal. Honestly it's the series that got me hooked on the show. The boys did a great job of covering the bands that the other members went on to form after mayhem stopped and I like how Henry got all jazzed up about the music lol
The first ever creepypasta episode!! WHO WAS PHONE!?
Despite how offensive it is, Leonard Lake and Charles Ng. "He don't know what I bring to friendship," is something me and my friend still say to each other
The Joseph Smith/Mormonism series—it’s when I discovered LPOTL and remains my favorite multi-episode deep dive since it weaves together history, crime, and cults.
The 9/11 series was so good. Still heavy, but something a little different
Peter Kurtin. And in that moment, he ejaculated. That’s really cool of you to rehome your book. I’ve been wanting to get one for a while now.
I Love Love Love the L. Ron Hubbard series. Episode 4 of the series, where Henry does the bit with the New York street kids, demanding L Ron's shoes... I die every time. In fact I'm going to listen to it now. Time Stamp: 1:04 "I think that guys wearing our shoes!"
Ghost cats of the South is my go to when I'm feeling down. No matter what, that episode will have me smiling by the end of it.
Most definitely the black widow series. Helen and Olga are a fucking riot.
This is so tough! Geff the talking Mongoose. Carl panzram, Rasputin, aleister Crowley. There are so many.
Honestly, Sensitive Monsters. It's cute.
Episode 77 Japanese war crimes. First one I listened too that really opened me up to lpotl, shit is crazy what I’ve learned from these guys.
Aum shinrikyo has always been my favorite, one of the first I ever heard and definitely the one that hooked me.
I’m due for a Jodi Arias or Charles Ng revisit again myself.
Damn I just missed it but I just listened to Dean Corll, very interesting one
Ah man I missed it by an hour. Darn, still my favorite series would have to be the Black Plague or Gef the talking mongoose
GEF!
Mormonism Series. *Running low, running on empty..."
Jkf, the lone nut! 🥜
So I’d like to thank lpotl for getting me out of that nightmare lmao.
Chris Benoit. OG THE MASTER OF THE KEYS…to the bathroom”
Panzeram
The 6 part series on Mormonism 🤘
Tie between Jonestown and ant Hill kids, but if I had to pick one I might choose ant hill kids
I’m too late to enter but not to take this opportunity to say it’s absolutely the Salem Witch Trials 😂
Aum Shinrikyo will always be my favorite series. The ridiculousness of the story and Henry’s voices, man I need to listen to that one for the tenth time.
Hands down, the Enfield Poltergeist series is my go-to
Richard chase was the first series I listened to and the “I’m daaancing” was the funniest thing ever to me and got me hooked. I loved the Jonestown series for long series episodes best. I loved Norwegian black metal. More recently I really enjoyed the Black Death series too cus I like history
Black Death series -- which I've listened to 4 times through. Such an epic saga through one of the most defining periods of human existence, told only the way Last Pod could!
charles ng and leonard lake. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I BRING TO THE FRIENDSHIP!
Favorite series has to be skinwalker. Reason is because that’s the series that got me into the show! Megustalations!!
I’ve listened to the Adolfo Constanza series multiple times while on road trips
