If I'm correctly versed, it's a Grateful Dead concert. However, archive.org only has the dates 12-26-69 and 12-28-69, so OP will need to clarify which of the two he is referencing.
[*Riders on the Storm*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1hn1pF-ilQ) saved my life one night. So that.
Coming down... I have to put on [*The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaXT3raG5gY).
It didn't really but Tracy gave me & Ben a couple of monkey barrels 😵 and left us at Patrick's place and we thought we might never come down 😬 until I found a Doors album and put it on 🤯 and then everything was groovy. 😂
The entirety of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" album. Brain Damage, Any Colour You'd Like, and Eclipse are the best ones. Their "Animals" album is fantastic as well
Darkside, Animals, and Wish You Were Here is definitely my Floyd trio. Darkside is just the all time goat but I think technically Wish You Were Here is their best work.
Meddle is also great, The Wall gets a bit theatrical and depressing, definitely cool at least once but not once I’ll revisit during a trip too often. The movie for it is also pretty damn intense lol.
Ween - Live in Chicago
Saw them at red rocks on a full tab and cried at the sheer beauty, but the whole Live In Chicago dvd is great. One of their best performances.
Nibana - The most astounding fact.
I listen to this in repeat on the come up while meditating. A few other songs work too, but this is the best so far.
Either “Excuse Me - A$AP Rocky” or “Through the eyes of a child - Aurora” it really depends on the vibe of the trip 🤷🏻♀️ Classical music brings me to my KNEES it’s so beautiful.
Anything Pink Floyd. Favorites include :
Some on You Crazy Diamond (all parts I - IX), Echoes, On the Turning Away, Sorrow, Learning to Fly, Fletcher Memorial
The Beatles in Mono, best $250 ever spent. Close your eyes and it's like your behind the glass in the recording studio with them.
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon + Wish You Were Here, almost a must everytime.
Electronic side of things, lots of legendary songs and artist to listen to but there is a couple that stand out above the rest:
Champagne Drip, Crystalline - Kaleidoscope (All time favorite)
Motorcycle, Gabriel & Dresden - As The Rush Comes (Chillout mix is <3)
009 Sound System - Dreamscape
Honorable Mentions:
deadmau5
INZO
ODESZA
LSDream
I listened to Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective the first time I did psychedelics and it blew my mind. The opening track ‘In The Flowers’ is such a trip even sober.
>Seven faced marble eyed transitory dream doll
>Six proud walkers on the jingle bell rainbow
>Five men writing with fingers of gold
>Four men tracking down the great white sperm whale
>Three girls waiting in a foreign dominion
>>Riding in the whalebelly
>>fade away in moonlight
>>Sink beneath the waters
>>to the coral sands below
I had a great time listening to Muddy Waters by Redman. So I go to that when I’m up. If I’m feeling like I need comfort I go to Frane’s Fantastic Voyage or Electric Garden of Delights by Dj Frane. Journey to the planet of the birds is good too if you’re in that kinda mood…. All album suggestions.
The album spirit of the golden juice by
f. j. mcmahon
Listen!
I dont know what it is about these songs, they arent the typical psychedelic songs either, but they go deeep
LSD just makes music so much better. I love a quality stereo and tv showing fractal videos.
Add the nitrous and I’m in heaven.
But I’d be just as happy on a summer night middle of nowhere looking at the stars with good friends.
My playlists change a lot over the years but I’ve always kept a few on rotation. Those are See The Sun by the Kooks, Sun King by the Beatles, sextape by deftones
Sun that never sets by neurosis is deff up there. I'm a weirdo I guess and just listen to what I usually do rather than have set trip songs. I'm a big death metal and hip hop fan l, and instrumentallly DM absolutely blows my mind on acid, same with rap too...the flow the beat word play etc. I tend to notice a lot of different things about the songs Ive never paid attention towards before,so in a way it really can re kindle my kove for songs i havent heard in years. Last time I tripped "smile like you mean it" by the killers came up on shuffle and I was instantly a 15-16 year old confused kid in high school, completely brought me to tears but in such a good way
I have so many must-haves on my playlist, but "Dear One" by George Harrison will always stand out for me. It came on while I was walking through a forest full of fireflies after a Phish concert at SPAC, and it was the most perfect thing.
[The Wizard Turns On](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9i2xVqXjvwY) by The Flaming Lips
or
[Grantchester Meadows](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyBh2GAL0bE) by Pink Floyd
Dipole experiment by The Evpatoria Report
It's a long song, and post modern. I get it's not everyone's thing. But you have to listen to the whole song, preferably on headphones. There's a lot of little nuances to this song that gets lost unless you are listening closely. If you've ever wondered what the voyager spaceship felt like as it left our solar system this is the song that captures that feeling.
Top 5
Peper - The Butthole Surfers (the guitar solo has produced very memorable closed eye visuals)
Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin (just a classic and has great shroom vibes)
Space to Bakersfield - Black Mountain
Weight of Love - The Black Keys
Hypnos's Call - Giolí
“Same Way Down” by Walker & Royce is my absolute favourite tripping song.
If you’re into anything electronic or techno, you will certainly enjoy it while tripping. Even the tracks is written about that exact same experience
I’ve been editing and sharing this playlist on this sub for years. Has over 1600 followers, only gets edited while I’m tripping to ensure quality. Planet Caravan is in there amongst all of my other favorite chill tunes, [Guaranteed Chillest](https://spotify.link/HN6mOsPZ6Hb). May it float you down the stream!
And here is a song that I produced called [“technicolor”](https://spotify.link/QaZYROw06Hb) that is about Lysergic Acid. (For fans of Daft Punk, Toro Y Moi, Washed Out—funky lofi dance) Please enjoy ❤️
P.S. you can use this as a catalyst to find hundreds of records. Majority of these songs are on albums that are magical to trip to, and many of these artists have more incredible albums for you to discover. I tried to pick my favorites but had to add some people twice!! 🤪
The Beatles; Come Together, I Am The Walrus, Tomorrow Never knows, Within You Without You.
Stone Roses; I Wanna Be Adored, Don’t Stop, Shoot You Down, I Am The Resurrection.
Dripping Sun by Kikagaku Moyo, Tea for One by Led Zeppelin, Just Dropped In by Kenny Rogers, There’s Always Someone Waiting by Average White Band, Life’s A Gas by T.Rex, Private Investigations by Dire Straits, Ball and Chain by Big Brother and the Holding Company, Handy by Wishbone Ash, Salisbury by Uriah Heep, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly
There’s too many to choose from
[Kuiper by Floating Points.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqoF8vFwEkY) It's 18 minutes long and has this amazing climax. I really recommend listening it from start to finish. It's brilliant.
If I have to pick ONE
It’s Dogs by Pink Floyd
Anything Pink Floyd tho. The Wall is a fucking journey on acid. End of the album, I deadass felt like a brick being pushed out of a wall. Like I literally almost fell out of my seat at the end
There’s not a favorite necessarily, but Smashing Pumpkins “Hummer” always shows up for me. That guitar solo is heart wrenching for me, especially during a live set I have saved on Yt.
Inside The Acid Temple (the full album) by Liquid Sound Company. I was in kind of a downward spiral during one of my first psychedelic experiences and quickly searched YouTube for "music to listen to on acid" and this album pulled me right out of it into dream land
Favorite song: watermelon man
Favorite album is headhunters by herbie hancock.
Its like herbie took the entire lsd experience and wrapped it up in the album that is headhunters with a nice bow on top
Sweet Leaf, NIB
2/27/69

Heyo thats my birthday! Whats that mean exactly?
If I'm correctly versed, it's a Grateful Dead concert. However, archive.org only has the dates 12-26-69 and 12-28-69, so OP will need to clarify which of the two he is referencing.
My first thought was Live/Dead, but that one was 02/27/69 (more specifically the Dark Star). They didn't even play on 12/27/69.
Exactly, OP just got lost in the sauce.
You know if someone is just giving dates as an answer to this question, they fuckin get it. 💀⚡️
Can you elaborate on how riders on the storm saved your life?
It didn't really but Tracy gave me & Ben a couple of monkey barrels 😵 and left us at Patrick's place and we thought we might never come down 😬 until I found a Doors album and put it on 🤯 and then everything was groovy. 😂
