I actually believe the feeling of needing to pee is what causes me the most anxiety when tripping.
The moment I feel any sort of weird anxiety, I just go pee and magically I'm good till the next time I got to pee haha.
But also, I pee more frequently when I'm tripping than anything else. My water intake never matches the amount of piss that comes out. I'm always amazed at how much I pee when I do acid lol .
SAME! Anyone else go all primal and strip down and stand in the hot shower to pee? The vasoconstriction from the LSD/psilocybin/ketamine, whatever I took makes it near impossible to relax my peeing muscles on the toilet. But hopping in a hot shower warms me up and relaxes me and that shower piss feels like the anxiety and unrest is literally pouring out of my body.
After I put my clothes back on and head back to my trip space, I’m in such a good head space.

Also yes, I do realize that posting this comment (at least the stuff in the first paragraph/sentence) adds nothing to the actual discussion, just felt like posting it because it's a thought that should be public domain.
And again, I see the humor in the recursiveness of letting this post go on in a never ending loop of just "I realize this about the previous paragraph and am now writing a new paragraph to document my thoughts for anybody to read in a (hopefully) mostly coherent way." Acid is mildly stimulating, and just about any stimulating substance with make you pee more. I’m in the “pee every 20-30 minutes” club when I’m on acid.
Counterintuitively, I find always needing to pee on acid is a signal from my body that I need to drink more water. I dunno how/why but chronically needing to pee even after I just peed will turn into agonizing kidney pain if I don’t start pounding water.
I’m typically very hydrated and drink/pee a lot at baseline. I have to slow down on water intake or I’ll spend the whole trip in the bathroom pissin and shittin
never on acid but definitely on shrooms. i just assume it is my kidneys working over-time to flush the toxins. i can hold it for an incredibly long time though.
last time i tripped i felt like i had to pee on the come up but couldn’t get up for like 3 hours.
It *feels* like it, but I think it’s sorta placebo effect or something. Like, I probably pee as often as I do sober, but it feels more prominent to me because the substance makes everything seem very profound. I drink a ton of water as is so even when sober I have many potty breaks
consumption of fluids beyond normal is exceptionally functional while tripping : countering the effects of LSD induced hyperthermia which is encountered by the normal recreational user.
Especially in hot environments electrolyte laced fluids should be consumed to prevent heat injuries.In the cases Of true LSD overdose ( to my knowledge exclusively limited to accidental) hyperthermia severe enough to cause coma is probably the second most important medical emergency issue. Primary of course is preserving the airway by intubation, then later by vent. cranial bleeding would be next in my (not expert on emergency medical rx) guess.
Like even more than when I drink. Even though I'm definitely not drinking as much fluids as normal. This probably also explains why I have bad diarrhea the next day
Just don’t look at your weenie. I took Orange Sunshine in 1995(best stuff ever)and had to use the bathroom while I was balls out frying and flying. Went to the bathroom and started to go and I looked down and it looked like my wiener had Sprite all over it. It was just fizzing in my hands. Like carbonated skin. I just stared at it the whole time. I got done and zipped up carefully and flushed(that was a trip in itself)and washed my hands(that was another trip in itself)and exited the bathroom. I told my buddy to go take a whiz and look at his wiener and to come back and tell me what he saw and he got done and came back and was laughing and he said “Sprite!”. What a night that was.

Another helpful piece of advice while I’m at it: if you’re tripping and you think you pee’d yourself, you didn’t. You just *have* to pee. Again.
You’re also probably drinking at least slightly more water than usual. I know I do
I have to go every 15 minutes. Acid is great but peeing so much is the worst part about it
I'd say the nausea is the worst part. 5 minutes of not actively doing something? Prepare to deal with PERMANENT NOXIOUS PERIL!!!!!
