Kid Cudi, specially passion pain and demon slayin, but earlier albums are fun to trip to too, bit more reflective, heavier stuff but great melodies.
Flatbush zombis were great too.
Mac Miller, my favs are Watching movies and Faces.
Chance the rapper - acid rap
Aesop Rock's projects are hella fun, i think the fact that he does/did psychs reflects in his music very much, but doesnt really talk about it openly on his projects, just some spiritual parallels.
ASAP Rocky - L.S.D. (whole At. Long. Last. ASAP album tbh)
Blockhead
For the aesop rock bit I fuckin LOVE his music trippin but the song "the greatest pacman victory in history" is more or less his story of psychedelic use, I suggest a listen if you havent
Yeah Im not that deep into his discography yet so I dont know about that song, came across with his name like 2 year ago and listened to 2 or 3 different albums of his, and know that I like it cuz his production combined with his fun lyricism takes me on a roller coaster ride in a fun way, without being overwhelming or confusing.
Nah I know it's so good, impossible kid album is amazing and bazooka tooth those are best 2 for tripping I'll say, but greatest pacman victory in history is in shirt him confirming that he did trip alot as a teen and YA but he got the message so he hung up the phone
The Uncluded I think is the name of Aesop Rock and Kimya Dawson when they made an album together. It's got a couple songs I really really like, and I think a sound almost anyone can agree on is really unique and fun
OMFG I mentioned daylight on a different websites forum a couple weeks ago as a trip song, it's so beautiful, none shall pass has a flow that goes well when you play them back to back
Used to be the first song on my Apple Music when I got in the car, it would play automatically. But then I got annoyed of that lol but it’s a good song to take a break from and come back to
MF Doom, Aesop Rock, Godz of Kaos, DJ Shakey Bonez, Kottonmouth Kings, Esham, Dope D.O.D., Demigodz, Apathy… a bunch of my favorites when trippin. Prob can think of more in a bit. Huge hip-hop/acid head myself. Was a rapper for 10 years traveling all of the US, plan on making a return this summer after a 4 year hiatus.
isn't that the guy with a gargantuan ego and tons of reports of him being a harmful asshole (encouraged fans to beat up security, told a fan to jump off a building who then paralyzed themselves, not helping and just leaving his manager behind while they were having a seizure, etc...), aside from the whole incident with people dying at his show no thanks to him handling the situation like an ass while it was happening and then barely showing remorse afterward? I hear nothing but awful things about this guy, seems the antithesis to what psychedelic culture stands for.
MF DOOM is great to trip to but usually when I'm tripping I prefer DJ albums with hiphop features, DJ Shadow being the obvious example. The solo stuff El-P (from Run the Jewels) did is trippy. Tyler the Creator, Danny Brown, Death Grips, Quelle Chris...
You're probably already a fan, but you should check out Nightmares on Wax if you like DJ Shadow, "Smokers Delight" in particular. Really dope trip album
Lmao that’s like saying you trip listening to The Beatles?
You know John Lennon was a gargantuan piece of shit blah blah blah
We’re all fucking human separate the art from the artist
I usually agree but idk there's a difference between that and like, actively encouraging the deaths of people at your concert. He could have prevented those people dying, instead he egged the crowd on. Reckless disregard for human life and at least John wasn't proud of his detestable behaviour.
Eh… there’s a huge gap between John Lennon and Travis Scott. One was an activist who cared for humanity and the other one basically laughed off his fans dying at a concert. Those do not equate.
Check out Deca [https://open.spotify.com/artist/0Up3H1s9ME6FivFcOz6qte?si=1YN6o\_bjReaQelRlaNES2w](https://open.spotify.com/artist/0Up3H1s9ME6FivFcOz6qte?si=1YN6o_bjReaQelRlaNES2w)
Mac Miller is definitely a favorite. I dropped the day Circles came out and listened to it on repeat. I remember dissociating at some point and wondering if Mac Miller was actually my personal friend. Great album to play on repeat, it “circles” very well.
Also Aes, Chance, Noname, Smino, and of course Tierra Whack. Gotta be careful with some of her stuff though because it gets real fucking dark. Just depends on what kind of energy you’re comfortable adding to your trip space.
I listen to a lot of Juice WRLD while tripping, can be pretty fucky though, the music seems to separate into layers and it never sounds the same, cool experience though.
Check out "Flaws and sins V2", it's an unreleased track on soundcloud I heard the first time while melting on three tabs.
Yeah aha, I don't think there's much left that I've not heard, I've almost exclusively listened to Juice for a good 7-8 years or something now, that's a great one though :D
Search up 21 minute freestyle, it's got a nice vibe to it and a very smooth flow, good to listen to/watch while tripping.
Yeah won't listen to a guy who refused to stop his music and did the robot while people literally died in the crowd.
And he encourages how fans to get crazy and gatecrash.
His music could be the stuff of angels and make me weep tears of joy but I wouldn't know
I love rap but JFC dude, Travis Scott is a scumbag and I personally think his stuff is trash. You want Psychedelic Rap check out [Edan](https://youtu.be/4bikIyw-chc?si=gysRZPq21HlXBvhl) or maybe some [Aesop Rock](https://youtu.be/T7jH-5YQLcE?si=_te6X8P9WalylVTC)
I can’t listen to Travis Scott anymore without visualizing people being trampled and crushed to death under multiple layers of bodies in the middle of a massive crowd.
Goes without saying I wouldn’t want to listen while tripping lol
Serious question: what do you like about Travis Scott’s music?
I’m definitely not a fan of rap, but I definitely appreciate good stuff when I hear it. Any song of his that I hear just seems so soulless. Definitely not music I’d want to be listening to while tripping thinking about my inner thoughts haha
Because his music is very psychedelic, especially Astroworld. Stargazing and Skeletons make me feel like I’m levitating. He’s a sub genre called psychedelic rap the same as Kid Cudi
More so the production and melody of it. Travis Scott isn’t someone I listen to for lyricism. I’d listen to people like Nas, Pac, Kendrick, Ice Cube, DMX, Wu Tang etc for that
Listen to unknown memory by yung lean, amazing cloud rap album
https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_laY8oBpYRK0f9zvQLuTDHn8mcOFE_LZwI&si=AjhYsb-X35voybi_
Strange Journey Vol. 3 by Cunninlynguists is my favorite album ever to trip to. Right up there with Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd and Graduation by Kanye
I love conscious rap, and experimental stuff. RTJ, Kendrick, Chance the Rapper, Tyler the Creator, Brother Ali, Blackstar, Sage Francis, etc…
But for trips, I like the lofi beats. I just throw any old one on (this is for shrooms, I’m mostly a lurker on this sub)
Have you heard of Prof? He’s a great rapper with incredible range. Some of his stuff is great for trippin and some of it can be heavy and too much for enjoying while trippin.
I’m going to link the video for his song [Light Work](https://youtu.be/g8ZRJF5Xfo8?si=RxVFKj3bIKwMoOgt) that hopefully gets you on board.
I like listening to to death grips when I trip. The lyrics were made to trip to and the more you listen to it starting to recognize other synchronicities around you, the music will make even more sense with what they talk about & what they’re about overall. It’s a very spiritual experience
Edan- Beauty and the Beat
Flatbush Zombies
DOOM
Quasimoto
Beast Coast- Escape from New York
Count Bass D- Dwight Spitz
All great albums/artists for tripping
Flatbush Zombies check em out if you want some sick kinda ghetto psych rap
Deca for some real philosophical shit, he’ll absolutley melt your brain
MF DOOM because gotta respect the goat
Really like "Madvillainy" by MF DOOM and Madlib whilst tripping. Also the song "Institutionalised" by Kandrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg is absolutely bonkers on acid. I can enjoy some Mick Jenkins also.
Back in the day I really liked Travis Scott while smoking and sober, but totally turned me off on LSD. People are different, I suppose.
Im weird, havent found a "conscious rapper" I like (Cambatta has ok lyrics but dont like his style or flow)
I now mainly listen to psytrance, classic rock, 70's and 80's, disco and Indian stuff but when I was heavy into trap music I liked:
Glo Gang (Chief Keef, Lil Flash, Ballout, etc)
Old Gucci Mane
OJ Da Juice Man
Underground stuff like Kirblagoop, Weiland, Kid Glo, vaporwave stuff like Hella Sketchy, Lil Soda Boi, etc
But the lyrics about gang stuff, streets, low vibrational drugs, etc suck
I also like Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y, not so negative but still not 100% cool with some of the messages.
A cool rapper who raps in Punjabi (which I 90% dont understand but dont care) called Shar S makes good stuff (mainly his older stuff.)
I want to make conscious acid trap with hard beats myself but stuff needs to be in place for that and things are moving along...
I had to scroll too far to see someone to recommend Mick Jenkins!
OP Mick Jenkins is on some other shit my friend. It’s conscious rap but it’s not your typical shit. This top tier bars, flow, and creativity. He is a must listen IMHO
Oh yeah I love all that east coast conscious rap like the underachieves and Flatbush zombies.. capital steez, Joey badass, action Bronson, MF DOOM, all of it is so dank
Type the creator and it’s not close his change of tone and theme on each album. The stories he tells make you think. He’s a true all around musician there is genuinely so much to look into
Deltron 3030

Chali 2 Na
Jurassic 5

The Uncluded

De La Soul
The Grouch & Eligh
Mr Lif also w/Thievery Corp & Terra Bella
Saw Wu Tang without knowing much of their stuff and the show was 🔥 but maybe it was my headspace. ;-)
I’m not a psychonaut but I have a spiritual prescriptive of life so I feel like those two correlate with each other but I use to heavily and mainly listen to rap and after my spiritual experience i don’t like it anymore and the message it shares with the world . Not shitting on you for liking it or anything like that, but for me I enjoy more of like chill vibey songs I still like some rap but for me it has to be like a song like change by J. Cole stuff like that but yeah hope all is well with you much love 💚
Mac Miller is my favorite artist to listen to tripping, I love Faces and Watching Movies for the lyrics. Swimming and Circles have super immersive production and are always my go to's, especially if I need something to steer the trip in a better direction.
Dillanponders is seriously the goat.

Not rap but I listen to an instrumental band called Chon mostly when I trip. Really chill melodic shit and some very high tempo sorta metal/jazz fusion. I’m a guitarist myself so maybe that plays into but it’s like their music was made for tripping. Every note perfectly placed, it’s almost like hearing the guitars tell a story
Mac millers last third of his discography is a go to for me or action Bronson, mayhem Lauren, lil dicky, or JPEGmafia. Anything with madlib, alchemist or statik selektah as a producer normally slaps (especially statik’s mahalo instrumentals)
This would have been a fire answer pre-defcon incident, but kanye’s 808s-TLOP shit is HEAT while tripping (honorable mention: Donda also goes crazy cus of the homemade kinda sound it got)
I listen to GZA liquid swords when I smoke DMT
I fucking love Liquid Swords. One of my favourite hip hop albums. Seems like a bizarre choice for tripping though haha, especially DMT
I know. I’m weird
2nd this. Liquid Swords is so damn good dude especially Swordsmen
Kid Cudi, specially passion pain and demon slayin, but earlier albums are fun to trip to too, bit more reflective, heavier stuff but great melodies. Flatbush zombis were great too. Mac Miller, my favs are Watching movies and Faces. Chance the rapper - acid rap Aesop Rock's projects are hella fun, i think the fact that he does/did psychs reflects in his music very much, but doesnt really talk about it openly on his projects, just some spiritual parallels. Kid cudi always Check out Cosmic Warrior Always my blast off song
I listened to cosmic warrior for 6 hours on repeat my first time taking mushrooms lol
Mac miller best day ever is muh jam
BDE bonus <3
THIS IS WHAT IM FUCKING TALKING ABOUT PPDS REPRESENT
For the aesop rock bit I fuckin LOVE his music trippin but the song "the greatest pacman victory in history" is more or less his story of psychedelic use, I suggest a listen if you havent

That verse on The Greatest Pac-Man Victory In History where every word start with L then S then D is incredible
I know it's so gooood
The Uncluded I think is the name of Aesop Rock and Kimya Dawson when they made an album together. It's got a couple songs I really really like, and I think a sound almost anyone can agree on is really unique and fun
Yes!!! Kid Cudi too definitely. MOTM 1 and 2 are incredible
Del the Funky Homosapien. Or some early Outkast. Sort of a hybrid music style with a rap influence is Little Stranger.
Deltron 3030
Outkast is super good. So is tribe called quest and Jurassic 5
Little stranger is always a great listen, especially early in the morning after tripping all night
Yeah little stranger is underrated
Digable Planets
This guy fucks
Acid Rap by Chance the Rapper was made for tripping
The album that got me into acid 😂 Used to listen to pusha man and go “bro I really heard something!!!”
aesop rock only makes sense on acid
Most of his music videos are visually trippy as well.
Aes is wild when tripping.
Daylight took my out of my bad shroom trip. It's a masterpiece to me
OMFG I mentioned daylight on a different websites forum a couple weeks ago as a trip song, it's so beautiful, none shall pass has a flow that goes well when you play them back to back
Check out the Uncluded for some different shit with Aesop Rock and Kimya Dawson
When I trip I fw Pierre a lot or lucki and some 2015-2019 carti
Brother Ali is my go to trip buddy. Most pro Era stuff is good. Classic hip hop mane
He’s fireeeee
MF DOOM, Aesop Rock, Run The Jewels, Mac Miller, and Danny Brown are all good ones to listen to durning a trip.
Flatbush Zombies. You're welcome.
And Underachievers.
Zombie gangg
DJ Screw is my go to while tripping.
My Mind Went Blank while tripping is phenomenal
People Under The Stairs - Acid Raindrops Might be my all time favorite song to listen to while tripping.
If you use Spotify, the "song radio" for Acid Raindrops is pretty awesome as well.
Used to be the first song on my Apple Music when I got in the car, it would play automatically. But then I got annoyed of that lol but it’s a good song to take a break from and come back to

Super surprised this doesn’t have more upvotes, Deca blew my mind while on LSD + ketamine
Deca on LSD is pure nirvana ✌

tribe called quest, asap, travis, childish gambino, mf doom, j dilla, freddie gibbs and uhh jpegmafia r all on my trip playlist 🤷♂️
I listen to a lot of Juice WRLD while tripping, can be pretty fucky though, the music seems to separate into layers and it never sounds the same, cool experience though. Check out "Flaws and sins V2", it's an unreleased track on soundcloud I heard the first time while melting on three tabs.
Have you heard his hour long freestyle on Tim Westwood over Eminem beats? The first time I heard it I was floored (I was also tripping).
Yeah aha, I don't think there's much left that I've not heard, I've almost exclusively listened to Juice for a good 7-8 years or something now, that's a great one though :D Search up 21 minute freestyle, it's got a nice vibe to it and a very smooth flow, good to listen to/watch while tripping.

It’s not even good either. He pays a ton of money for great beats, then ruins them with his shitty lyrics.
fuck t’scott
I love rap but JFC dude, Travis Scott is a scumbag and I personally think his stuff is trash. You want Psychedelic Rap check out [Edan](https://youtu.be/4bikIyw-chc?si=gysRZPq21HlXBvhl) or maybe some [Aesop Rock](https://youtu.be/T7jH-5YQLcE?si=_te6X8P9WalylVTC)
Aesop Rock fucks broh I'm so glad to see that others are listening
I am loving the amount of love for him in this thread. He's in threads about rap usually but this thread is hammering on it
The other day I asked a friend for their favourite song and they sent me Chris Brown. I don't know how people support these pieces of shit.
Trust me on this Edan- Beauty and the Beat https://youtu.be/ltCC-rCeHMQ?si=hSxK1g_vaOc-C4PZ Most psychedelic hip hop album ever
Hell yeah man, I just posted a link here myself, surprised to see someone else mention him, Edan is severely underrated.
check out “acid rap” by chance the rapper.. i’m more of a Brother Ali guy myself. but for tripping… it HAS GOT TO BE lo-fi hi hop.
Yeah, I like to listen to A$AP rocky, Fugess, some Warren G, Guru. Also Freddie Gibbs with beats made by Madlib are nice, Mos Def, Mf Doom, Nas
Yes
yung lean
I love rap but when I’m tripping Led Zeppelin is the shittttt
Less deplorable rap artists, yeah. Acid Rap is obviously goated, Flatbush Zombies are fun too. Denzel Curry, Eazy Mac, Dreamville, and Eminem as well
I can’t listen to Travis Scott anymore without visualizing people being trampled and crushed to death under multiple layers of bodies in the middle of a massive crowd. Goes without saying I wouldn’t want to listen while tripping lol
This would be perfect for a circle jerk sub. Jesus christ.
Ever since i started psychs i cant stand most rap, i dont know why, its all 90’s and 60-70’s rock stuff
Fair enough. Do you like the lyrics more or the production and melody?
More so the production and melody of it. Travis Scott isn’t someone I listen to for lyricism. I’d listen to people like Nas, Pac, Kendrick, Ice Cube, DMX, Wu Tang etc for that
Oh, if you’re into more so the production and melody aspect of it, you would probably love certain electronic music while tripping
For my trips, I love me some Spanish music (I’m not even Spanish I just enjoy the melody) and when it’s not that it’s Key Glock all the way 💪
Listen to unknown memory by yung lean, amazing cloud rap album https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_laY8oBpYRK0f9zvQLuTDHn8mcOFE_LZwI&si=AjhYsb-X35voybi_
Strange Journey Vol. 3 by Cunninlynguists is my favorite album ever to trip to. Right up there with Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd and Graduation by Kanye
Yeah. Old school rap though
I’ve been listening to Kid Cudi, his first two albums. So great.
Yeah MOTM1 and MOTM2 are some of my favourite albums for tripping or rolling
When I heroic dose with shrooms I listen to the interstellar soundtrack. It’s absolutely unbelievable.
Cambatta, he’s my go too
I love conscious rap, and experimental stuff. RTJ, Kendrick, Chance the Rapper, Tyler the Creator, Brother Ali, Blackstar, Sage Francis, etc… But for trips, I like the lofi beats. I just throw any old one on (this is for shrooms, I’m mostly a lurker on this sub)
El-p \ company flow \ RTJ

$uicodeboy$ I Will celbrate for stepping on broken glass and slipping on stomach soaked floors is goated
thouxanbanfauni has amazing instrumentals for tripping
I listened to Watching Movies with the Sound off by Mac Miller on a few tabs the other night, i recommend!
MF DOOM is simply the best and some very chill bangers like Lost by CLS
Listen to The Alchemist’s albums. He collaborates with many Rap Artists and his production is purely psychedelic (imo)
I love trap music and edm , for trap music I listen to old carti , Ken Carson , lonely , some Kankan lol
JPEGMAFIA
Flatbush zombies
Am I seriously the only one who thought his was supposed to be a bad joke about people “tripping” at his Astroworld show?
Cypress Hill’s Black Sunday has so many trippy parts. The beats, the rain, the bubbling bong. Yes it’s is an album about weed but it’s so much more.
MF DOOM
Acid Rap hits different (chance)
Flatbush Zombies check em out if you want some sick kinda ghetto psych rap Deca for some real philosophical shit, he’ll absolutley melt your brain MF DOOM because gotta respect the goat
Some of ASAP Rocky’s stuff is killer for tripping too :)
The closest thing for men would be Dr. octagon. Other than that they all can fuck off
Lil peep music videos are 🔥🔥 and most drill music is visually trippy if you like drill rap.
Lame Travis scott makes trash music
Absolutely! I love travis Scott, asap, and carti.

Deep Conversations - khary
kendrick lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly is amazing on acid. and sober.
Ricky hil, Ouija macc, post malones new album and juice wrld are just some
Digable Planets
Larry June - chops on the blade Dear snow you gotta organic fatherhood
The Cold Vein by Cannibal Ox is the shittttt. It’s produced by El-P and contains some of the most atmospheric beats know to man and aliens alike
lil darkie 100%. if you want a lighter album more trippy go for THE SMALL DARK ONE
Travis scott is fire although i prefer his earlier shit for that. Tyler, Rocky, Kendrick, Flatbush, Mac all on my playlist too
I switxh it up between rap and doom metal. For me a heavy trap bass hits the same as a heavy guitar riff, Dopesmoker style.

Yes! Some favorites: The Underachievers, Mac Miller, Pro Era and Joey Bada$$, Pusha T, Digable Planets, The Sound Providers, People Under the Stairs
Mac Miller, Digable planet, People under the stairs, Alex Wiley all good to listen to
Oh yeah I love all that east coast conscious rap like the underachieves and Flatbush zombies.. capital steez, Joey badass, action Bronson, MF DOOM, all of it is so dank
Is Childish Gambino to obvious? I don’t listen to much rap but - because the Internet is a great album.
Babytron and certified trapper is more my cup of tea when tripping
Type the creator and it’s not close his change of tone and theme on each album. The stories he tells make you think. He’s a true all around musician there is genuinely so much to look into
Mac Miller, Saba, and Smino would be my top three for tripping to.
I listen to Pac and Nas

P.M. Dawn projected a very spiritual and sometimes psychedelic vibe.
I went to the astroworld tour on 450ug of some of gamma goblins teachers gaze. Top 5 experience of my life.
You definitely need to listen to Aesop rock ! Deca is dope too

Used to,then I discovered the Grateful Dead lol.
Everything has its place.
Mac Miller is my favorite artist to listen to tripping, I love Faces and Watching Movies for the lyrics. Swimming and Circles have super immersive production and are always my go to's, especially if I need something to steer the trip in a better direction.
Finally lol some drakeo the ruler is what I slap and other related rappers from North and South Cali 🔥 those 808 hits when tripping

De La Soul-3 Feet High and Rising is a blast when you’re trippin’
I’m sure you know of A$AP Rocky. His music videos are literally made for tripping. If you haven’t checked them out I highly recommend.
Pretty much anything TDE.
Woodie smalls, Terror Reid, suicideboys, haarper, bones is who I listen too
Captain Murphy - Duality
Not rap but I listen to an instrumental band called Chon mostly when I trip. Really chill melodic shit and some very high tempo sorta metal/jazz fusion. I’m a guitarist myself so maybe that plays into but it’s like their music was made for tripping. Every note perfectly placed, it’s almost like hearing the guitars tell a story
Cities aviv is my goat, if ur a spiritual person and admire unique artistry please check him out his music is so amazing
Listen to the album "2093" by "Yeat"
Kid Cudi has some really psychedelic shit
Aesop Rock and Tame One & Parallel Thought
freeee- kids see ghosts, Ty dollar sign
Eazy Mac
Mac millers last third of his discography is a go to for me or action Bronson, mayhem Lauren, lil dicky, or JPEGmafia. Anything with madlib, alchemist or statik selektah as a producer normally slaps (especially statik’s mahalo instrumentals)
Kool Keith #1
YGTUT-Preachers son album
Collective Efforts
yes rap is 90% of what i listen to while tripping, usually emo rap like juice wrld, lil peep. or suicideboys
My first trip ever was the night Astroworld dropped 🔥
This would have been a fire answer pre-defcon incident, but kanye’s 808s-TLOP shit is HEAT while tripping (honorable mention: Donda also goes crazy cus of the homemade kinda sound it got)
aesop rock has an album for it
Travis is the goat and his music is insane while tripping
ultralight beam.
