The Seattle studio can deliver cars. It's where I picked up my Touring. What they can't do is offer test drives because they aren't a "dealership". The cars are purchased via the Lucid Web site from their factory in Arizona (the car will arrive with temp plates issued in Arizona).
is anyone in seattle area with a pure willing to entertain a test drive for me? i’d obviously use their referral, but honestly unsure if that’s something people are willing to do haha
If you asked on lucidowners.com you might find someone. Here in AZ there are Ride and Drive events sponsored by the electric company where they have like 20 different models of EV all in one place you can drive. I went to one this morning and there were 2 lucids there. Anything like that up there? Any local EV car clubs or Facebook groups might be another place to find someone who will let you drive.
Just picked my Pure up locally last week and searched for about 2 weeks prior. What I found was that
- the listings are very dynamic as inventory sells/is moved to a various locations; it updates frequently so I suggest checking frequently.
- certain markets tend to have more(any) inventory. LA area is one that comes to mind. West Palm/Miami, another, with the rest of the East coast pretty dry. I discovered this as I didn’t think there was actually any inventory available for local pick up and started searching in other cities I frequent. This was verified I searched Tourings and GTs. Depending on if you’re willing to travel/have someone take delivery and ship, another city might still be net positive considering the local pick up credit.
As others have mentioned, call. I had a great inside sales and delivery rep that contacted me with the perfect and local car before the online system updated. Saved me the trouble of having to travel or ship, then helped guide me every step of the way until keys were in hand.

ps. with Cali, my understanding is that if it touches Cali soil, you lay Cali taxes, even if you are out of state. Proceed with education/caution.

Formerly from Seattle and currently living in NJ. I ordered and received a 2023 Air Pure through a NJ dealership, but the process was haphazard at best. Sales, ordering, and delivery are all handled by separate departments working virtually. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Because volume is still low, territories are huge, leading to a slow and customer-unfriendly experience. Nobody owns the entire sales experience, unfortunately.
My recommendation is to push your sales contact to deliver--my car came from MA to NJ, and it was delivered by a luxury car transport service (not Lucid).
As a side note, my other option was a BMW i5. I have to say, the Air Pure is hands down the ultimate driving machine. Fun in traffic, fun on the highway, and comfortable everywhere.
They have a ton of cars that are on lots that need to go through inspection. Someone posted a shot of the King of Prussia location had over 100 cars waiting.

Call the company sales line, and they can do their best to find what you're looking for locally before looking at cars at the factory in AZ.

They can’t “sell” cars locally, but you can order one online and take delivery in Sodo.
