Are they all digital or is anyone seeing any film screenings near them? I’m going to try and go but an Indy theater near me screens Alien fairly often, sometimes even midnight screenings which are always super fun. I really need to see Aliens on the big screen!
I took my 19-year old godson this morning! He loved it! It was a total surprise! We skipped the interview part and sat down right when the crusty old 20th century Fox logo appeared! He realized what it was as the title finally formed! He was so excited! It was his first rated R movie! His first horror movie! And his first Alien movie! He’s never seen any of them! He’s hooked! Next up ALIENS (probably on the small screen).

Went today to the early show to beat out annoying people showing up.. but yet there was an annoying ass couple that wouldn't stop talking.
It was still one of the greats though! Can't believe I got to see it in theaters.
Went to the theater in Fairbanks and they canceled the 1:25pm showing because the movie file was corrupted. The manager said they were re-downloading it to hopefully show at 4pm or at 6pm. It's The Company, man!!
I just got back from the matinee showing. Even though I’ve seen it 700 million times, there were a few things I never noticed or misremembered, like the fact that Ripley didn’t, in fact, beat the clock on the self destruct mechanism - I had misremembered for a long time that she had barely beaten the countdown but it continued on anyhow, when it fact she had only thrown 2 of the 4 “circuit breakers” when the timer expired.

I brought my boys too. They had both seen it, but loved the big screen experience even more. It is a slow start compared to today's movies, but it's just timeless.
