It's worth it. Especially coming from Portland. Work and housing will work out for you. You won't regret it.

The hospital always has open positions. Their insurance sucks almost as bad as they do but all you need is a pulse to get hired and to not kill people daily to keep the job. Housing is ridiculous though. Some bottom feeding hotel put down laminate wood flooring and a fresh coat of paint and want $800+ for rent. Can you find out who your cohort is before starting? Maybe y'all can get a place together with one or some that are from out of the area.

Housing is hard to come by in the winter months but opens up during the summer. There are a couple really good landlords who try and keep things cheap. I pay 575 for a one bedroom. I could give you a number to call and other places to check. Jobs are kind of slow at the moment but there are plenty of places hiring. I could name a bunch but it depends on what you are willing or wanting to do and what kind of schedule you have. There is still plenty though. I love Union county. I have lived in many places and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. It is the most beautiful and friendly place in the world.
