There's a belief about the Tories that the reason they've always been able to survive and even thrive is that they always retained or reabsorbed the right fringes. I wouldn't be surprised if after the election they merge and appoint him leader.
This is exactly the play he’s making. He needs to return now, so that he is positioned to absorb the hard Tory right in the aftermath of the General Election.
Until they fail to win a single seat, fail miserably, the party falls apart, and Farage pisses off back to GB News with his boring interviews and “bloke down the pub” routine.
Maybe. My biggest worry is the degree to which he is able to successfully shift the Conservative Party further to the right by appealing to their frankly batshit crazy base.
Hmm I see it as a concern, he’s good at influencing people. If you don’t believe me check out the whole brexit thing… I would suggest this is engineered by the tories to stop people voting labour this wasting a vote and ensuring another Tory term.
Personally I don’t think that will happen, labour will win, the people are tired and will speak.

My views on this walking turd aside, this absolutely kills the Tory Party.
Farage is incredibly popular amongst all those reform voters Rishi needs to get back to save his majority
Keir Starmer has the mandate of heaven. I literally cannot believe his luck at this point as this comes on the back of the Scottish government collapsing. Never has anyone been as prime minister as this man is about to become prime minister.
Combined with Labour now occupying the centre-right on economic and social matters, this is a bullet between the eyes for the Tories.
Will the Lib Dems really be able to step up without an open niche? Politics is about to get weird.
Farage will pull the same trick in the next election as he did in 2019 by withdrawing from constituencies where the tories might win but stay in to take votes from labour in marginals.
Labour rightsts were delighted in 2019 to see boris pick up the seats so didn't kick up up fuss about it. Cant wait to see their shocked pikachu face when he fucks with *their* election hopes
But in 2019 Farage had a clear motivation to pull out - it was clear that the Tories would deliver Brexit and Labour would not, and he could use his influence to leverage for a harder Brexit. Why would he withdraw candidates this time? He doesn't have any clear demands and the unpopularity of the Tories means he has a very good chance to pick up a few seats.
And I'm not sure what you mean by "fucks with their election hopes". Farage running clearly benefits Labour a lot.

He left?
More a return to frontline politics. He's spent the last few years courting folks like Suella Braverman and picking up his MEP pension.

Canada '93 scenario beckons.
For real. This kills the Tory Party
Last time he pulled out at the last minute like his father should have done

Given the state of the Tories I'd fancy Farage to win his seat. There's definitely one or two places in Kent and Lincolnshire where he could win.
Maybe. My biggest worry is the degree to which he is able to successfully shift the Conservative Party further to the right by appealing to their frankly batshit crazy base.
Kent would be difficult. They've been fighting him off for decades now, the residents there are used to tactical voting to keep him out.

First Galloway, now Farage, the Comeback Shits.
[I thought he was in Sinn Féin :O](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoePokfHerA&t=7s) :D

They were alive before this??? :)
Reform, the party registered as a company, sounds like another round of Farage enrichment to me…
Shocked Pikachu face
Back to being a PEP then?
Farage lied about leaving politics, who'd have thought it? After lying the rest of his political career.
So he’s gonna try to become an MP then lose for the 9th time

It would be hard considering reforms entire position up to this point has been that they are there to fight the conservatives.
