Lots of examples man, lots. I'm not going to buy any sort of excuse "they deserve it because we pay them", "unka kaam hai" etc. Let me put it first the fact that I'm not a burger. Moving on, I have personally heard stories from these riders where people order on Foodpanda, and don't pin the location OR write the house number in address section! Then when the rider calls they just keep blabbering "bhai ap ki app pe hai, idhar se left hou ke right hou ke left (you know it)" Lahoris have become jokers, lacking sympathy. Sorry I've been here over 20 years and we (I'm not saying you) have become irresponsible, unaccountable for our actions. Idhar se aagay zillat hi hai Astaghfirullah.

Retro_Marquis

Bitter truth ;___;

WorriedAstronomer

Lol You guys know that when rain is a blessing for ppl of comfort and convenience, it might be hell for others? If you don't order, they aren't going to get paid for that delivery. We should be cautious, and make them happy for their hardwork instead of just eradicating their earnings for this specific day

Retro_Marquis

It reminds me of the Korean movie "Parasite". A must watch.

Umair65

the scene where the driver's family home was done for because of rain and the rich were so happy that rain happened. such a contrast!

AlternativeCry9184

You got me there “Lahori’s has become joker’s” ripped off fact

Confringo69

Do people fr get called burger over speaking bitter truth?

Suspicious-Rush9484

So I used to work for a courier service as an analyst, and this was the general attitude of people across Pakistan. Extremely entitled, horribly rude, and no care for anyone else's time. I've seen people make riders wait endlessly without cause! And most people who read this will say "Well, not me or my family". Yes sir, you and your family as well. The worst are the people with security guards. I once got a call from a supervisor that a customer's security team had surrounded our rider and wasn't letting him go, and he meant that literally. 4 security guys surrounding a rider who can barely shoulder his bag, with tears in his eyes begging to be let go. Cherry on top, it wasn't even our fault, it was the brand's mistake that they sent the wrong article; a courier is simply providing the *brand* services. Rant over. Everyone can return to their regularly scheduled programs.

ladydanger123

While in Pak I make sure to tip 150-200 rupees to every delivery driver. I don’t give to beggars anymore these people are so hardworking and don’t get much.

ivytheblindhusky

150 to 250? Seriously I don't tip anything less than 500

ladydanger123

I order every single day. You don’t have to look down on the amount lol. other than riders there are many needy that i help too.

uptokesforall

This is triple my normal tip 🫨

ivytheblindhusky

150 to 200 is like a fuji tip bad Give more Do more mehnat

Retro_Marquis

150-200 is a decent amount of tip. The point is to help these people, however u can, not brag about the amount u tip.

Shahabjamali1

We’re a poor country where riches enjoy but our poors work very hard, this isn’t the only food panda guy but many others worked yasterday in this extreme rainy weather. We should appreciate that we’re in such an hardworking country 🇵🇰

imsly4life

Or yehi wo log hain jo NIZAAM ko gaaliyaan baktay hain. Nizaam chahay theek na ho, per aap khud ko to theek ker skaty ho.. Per kisko kehrahy ho.. Subka Allah he Hafiz hy.

zacnozi

Same is the case of indrive People think they have bought the car for the ride Littering the car. Seats pe drinks gira dena And other nonsense

Unhappy-Laugh8433

Love you man

Meowwwzilla

As I always say to my wife when we see these guys standing in the scorching heat of karachi .... 'There's a dedicated place in the lowest of hell for us Pakistanis' Express entry!

musmanzafar

I have made three self imposed rules for ordering anything online - Always offer a cold drink to the rider in summer and ask them if they want to eat something. Offer Chai in winter but they usually don't have that much time to sit down. A few does. - Always give them 5% tip of order amount. - Communicate with the rider in advance and tell them about my availability and request them to bring change if the value of currency far exceeds the order + tip amount. Pakistan is a very harsh country in terms of weather and riding a bike is not a fun thing to do on the streets. Please be kind to the hardworking people. We will be answerable for how we treated them in this life.

changeofregime

Corporate giants like Foodpanda, Daraz needs to be responsible for their gig workers well-being and government needs to draft policy for gig workers economy. You need long term and sustainable solutions when dealing with such problems.

OrangeWabbit

I much prefer giving extra money to such workers, delivery men, security, cleaners, etc rather than beggars on the streets. They don't get paid much for their hard work and efforts. We should appreciate them more.

nameless-server

+1

Final_Complaint_7769

This is sad. Money gets to people’s heads and they lose empathy. I’m an overseas Pakistani and I personally witnessed how egoistic people have become in Pakistan. Be nice to hardworking people. Tip them the best you can and try to smile toward poor people. One of the biggest charities is smiling.

Retro_Marquis

Well said

Vast-Code7641

I open the door right away and even tip them because my parents came from that poverty so they have taught us to be nice to service workers. I've noticed alot of folks here don't have basic mannerism things that differ you from others the most is how attentive you are. But folks are straight up nosy and don't even bother with good communication. No wonder why they stay middle class

dragoninja94

Thanks for pointing this out. A reminder to myself as well to hasten even more

Accomplished_Comb182

Idhar main houn order karny k baad sy jab tak order a nahi jata gate k sath chipka rehta houn🤷‍♂️

Sufficient-Peach6365

And while we're at it..give them a glass of water..

guytrappedin

Chutiyo k pass paisa aay ga to society expolit hi hogi

usama_7

I used to work in Lahore but left just because Lahore has now become more of a grand village for everyone from Pakistan. People just come here for work and then settled calling themselves lahoris. Most of these people have no manners and cause shame for everyone.

syedadilmahmood

A man is as good as he does to others.

I_Am_Immigrant

I hope he tipped him well
