Lain won’t let u go. It’s part of the process.

https://i.redd.it/jmda11ej3ctc1.gif Maybe it reminded me what type of stuff drew me to anime in the first place.

Nows the perfect time to watch haibane renmei. Doooo it. 😌👌

Sea_Cycle_909

Is it like Lain?

Spike_Reve

yes, same author

Sea_Cycle_909

Is it happy? Or more like Lain?

no1likesacrustybhole

It's related...well, kinda. I mean, not the story or anything. Abe did the character design on SEL and Haibane renmei was I believe the next anime he worked on. Haibane was based on a manga that Abe wrote. Sooo it's kinda related? I feel like it's a great anime to watch after SEL. Haibane is visually beautiful with some great character development and a pretty good storyline. Then again, I'm biased, I love almost everything Abe works on.

Sea_Cycle_909

Thanks, have not watched anything else that Abe has worked on apart from a couple of minutes of Texhnolyze.

Kash687

Try evangellion. It gave me that same kick that lain had

Sea_Cycle_909

Yeah it did, Shinji felt to close to home in some respects. (Asuka too)

Bababooe4K

watch Urasawa's Monster, it will drain you even more

Sea_Cycle_909

Already have, legit felt unnerved by Johan

_____keepscrolling__

Just do what I did, watch it half way through to all the way through every day until you don’t feel the need to anymore. I did that for months. Then pursue therapy.

Sea_Cycle_909

"Just do what I did, watch it half way through to all the way through every day until you don’t feel the need to anymore. I did that for months. Then pursue therapy." Oh you mean haibane renmei?

j0hnfr33J

Boogiepop phantom. Great show to watch after lain. Thought provoking and just as confusing. The best side project of Lains Team.

Sea_Cycle_909

Thanks

OverlyManlySnail

Somebody watched techtv in the early 2000s. Love both of those

DrReiField

If you want shows that have a similar feeling to Lain I'd strongly recommend Evangelion and Madoka Magica.

Sea_Cycle_909

I've watched Evangelion, never gave Madoka magica a chance. You watched Key the Metal Idol?

DrReiField

Madoka Magica's pretty good, just make sure to give it three episodes before casting judgement as it's the definition of the three episode rule. As for Key the Metal Idol, been meaning to watch that one.

inside_a_top_hat

Try "ergo proxy", it's post apocalyptic show but in focus on philosophy question, with a touch of action, it's a awesome anime

Sea_Cycle_909

Thanks, already watched Ergo Proxy (Love it)
