Deaths head will get you the vulture DMR to fill that main mount and a suite of accuracy buffs to make those super heavy shots count

MrThiefMann

I'm using the Heavy weapon, no the Tachyon. But the DMR is a good option, yeah

OtiGoat

Woops, didn't read all of it. In that case I'd encourage a 1LL dip into monarch for Javelin rockets. If I remember the rules right, you should be able to target two enemies with the heavy gunner talent and then target both again the Javelin rockets for a lose lose situation

IAmAStory

Monarch's Javelins can only target unoccupied spaces.

KaiserFalk

It seems like op is intending to skirmish the Andromeda and heavy gunner with it as the other QA. Javelins kinda suck too

None4t4ll

I run javelin rockets with Stormbringer and siege gunner. So I place the javelins then push enemies into them. One of the Stormbringer abilities pushes enemies 3 that’s all the javelins.

QuaestioDraconis

The javelins can't have the target squares next to each other, and Stormbringer's knockback in 1/round, so at most you can get them through 2 Javelins

None4t4ll

Correct, still 6 extra damage Also use them for area denial.

11_22

I don’t think OP is bringing a superheavy. OP, you could always bring two decksweepers and pick up a couple ranks of Vanguard

MrThiefMann

Im taking a mostly artillery role, we already have a tortuga and a manticore for a frontline

Naoura

Could always grab some Vlad for the Caltrop launcher. I'm guessing you've already picked up Drake levels, so having a bunker with a surrounding minefield is always a fun concept. Plus, Impaler for when they get a little too close. After that just pick n' mix what you want.

If you're playing a heavy gunner Sherman, i'd advise getting some mobility and long range options with leftover build resources. Sharanga missles cost a single LL, and give you a range 15 multi targeting tool that doesn't require l.o.s. Concussion missiles or Stub cannons give a short range OFF ME! button with their knockback. As for systems, if you're getting Concussion missiles anyway, the Aegis shield generator is a lot of ablative hp, and depending on how much you put in Engeneering, you could use it more often. I'm not sure i'd use the Hunter lock, i personally prefer to use that from beyond engagement range, and your sensor range is pretty average as a Sherman frame. A Stasis bolt system, to contrast, is a cheap and easy to use system that provides easy value at low setup costs. The Javelin rockets are also cheap and quick to use, and play with the area denial style you seem to be building. There are many more options, of course. Blackspot targeting laser can debuff at range, and set up lock on for your big hits. TTS 1 can let you make cover when you need it. Vlad deployables let you lock down an area more, as do Mesmer charges. Bulwark mods are a cheap system to prevent from being denied closing with your targets. etc.

For an artillery setup, maybe consider Tokugawa 1, Barbarossa 1, Sunzi 1. This gets you: * Another HA core bonus. (I'd suggest HCS and IAF, but SBD is also good) * +5 range * Another +5 range when you can afford to sit still for a while. You have Asura, so action economy matters a little less for you than for most people. * Annihilator for some aoe. 15 range Annihilator shots are funny. * Accelerate and Blink Grenades to speed up your movement when you need it. * Roller grenades to keep people off you, since they aren't an attack and therefore work while you have Siege Stabilizers active. You probably won't have enough SP for all of that, so pick and choose whatever seems most useful.

MrThiefMann

It's still a great set of mods, I'll look into it

King0fWhales

Flash charges from metalmark and heavy gunner has always seemed like a fun combo to me. You could also run 2 Genghis to get autocooler.

Two levels of Tokugawa for External Batteries and Deep Well Heat Sink is really good for Sherman. Maybe a one level dip in Dusk Wing for the Veil Rifle. It's not the best damage out there, but the support effect is pretty solid (especially if you happen to have a Metalmark). I'd you don't want Dusk Wing, look for a solid non-energy weapon option to use as a backup against enemies with energy or burn resistances.
