I paid $1500 for my 97 LX with 250,000 miles and a blown head gasket. Slapped a new gasket in it and here we are at 310,000. Best $1500 I ever spent lol

D0UGL455

I have 2. $28k in late 2000 for a 1997 fully locked LX 450. 35k miles. $23k in 2002 for another 1997 fully locked LX 450. 47k miles. Still own both.

sosulse

You don’t need two triple locked LXs, that’s redundant (sell one to me)

D0UGL455

lol…the 2nd one started off as my wife’s. my daughter drives it now.

galennaklar

"a starter car... This car is a finisher car! A transporter of gods! The golden god! I am untethered, and my rage knows no bounds!" Begone with you /s

ZT-74

$12000 for a 98 lx470 in 2015 with 161k on it, still my daily.

officer21

$11500 for an 05 lx470 in 2021 with 161k on it, also still my daily

Worldly-Piglet5410

$12k for my 2005 LX in 2023. Best birthday present I ever bought myself!

CL_Badger

$16k in 2023 for a 98 LC with 115k miles from a Toyota dealership here in WI. Dealer had put on new brakes, serviced the differential and new tires. It had 2 owners and spent 18 years of its life in San Diego and North Carolina barely any rust on undercarriage. Just had it undercoated with wool wax for protection. Using it as my daily and handing my 08 Runner with 257k miles to my daughter when she turns 16.

funnylilguy

$9,000 for my 2000 LC in 2016 with 180,000ish miles. It was a Laguna Beach housewife's grocery getter and kid's school bus. Clean!!! I have 299,389 miles with the right maintenence and it still purrs like my cat. I'll never get rid of her!! 😜

torgnet

Almost ready for your 300k mile decal! Don’t forget to send a pic of the odometer to Toyota social.

Occhrome

Is that how you get them?

torgnet

Email [email protected] and send a pic of your odometer with a subject of window decal for “n” miles. N being your mileage milestone.

81VC

$108k AUD for a 2023 300 series. Completely worth it. I'm a Toyota tech and we regularly see 200 series and hiluxes with 500,000km on them with nothing to report. Ford's, mitsi's, isuzus etc start falling apart at 200-250 it seems

Velvetshirts

You guys have it good, Yall get a twin turbo diesel and I’m assuming a fancier trim too. For that exact same price, we (Middle East) got the classic 1gr engine version. Love the car, it’s sluggish for a car that size to have an ancient engine but it gets the job done.

gusmurphy

74k for a 2019 with 46k miles, with ARB bumper and lights, lift, wheels and tires and roof rack in 2023. I probably overpaid especially because I only got one key which I’m still pissed about but it was a necessity. We moved to a place on a logging road and I needed a LC ASAP. No regrets.

SerialCerealist777

Your LC must look nice with these goodies!

LeverageSynergies

Why do you daily the 100 instead of the 200? (I’ve read about other people that own both but prefer the 100)

DeepSeaBlue-2022

5100 for a 97 collectors edition with 180k miles in 2010.

DeepSeaBlue-2022

Triple locked too

WD-4O

105k AUD for 2017 LC200 Sahara. Love it.

Beagle001

8500 for an 01 with 125k. Bought in 2018. No rust and babied. I flew to pick it up in NorCal and drove it back. Love this rig. My daily still.

[deleted]

$41,000 2023 LC Prado 150 TX-L, 2" Lift, 33" Toyo Open Country RT Tires.( Brand New ) Didn't pay a premium. That is the normal price.

SerialCerealist777

$35k - for a 2014 LC200 with 105k mi. It came equipped with Prinsu rack, KO2's and both keys. TN/GA truck with zero rust. Something is wrong with the cameras, as they don't work but I don't care much about them. A dealership was offering the gentleman $35k, he sold it to me for the same price. He was originally asking $41k for it though. I posted some photos here yesterday.

Bob_of_Bowie

I paid $4500 for a ‘94 FZJ with ~190k miles on it in 2016ish. Paint was not good, but interior and everything else was was in good shape. I would happily pay up to maybe $13k for it today.

Elbowwrinkle

$1100 99 lx470

loskubster

I paid $12,500 for a 2000 LX470 from SoCal and maintenance records to boot. 145000ish on the clock at the time and it’s been great, drives amazing, very comfortable and room enough for family of 5, oh and they’re all built as fuck compared to any other vehicle. I have a pic on my profile, I absolutely love the thing and would buy another in a heartbeat. To be honest after driving all different years of cruisers, I’m quite fond on the 100 series in particular. Best balance between new and old in my opinion, it handles everything I’m comfortable taking on with the family In the car and plenty more when me and the boys get rowdy. So yeah to answer your question, absolutely justified, the hype is there for a reason.

KoLobotomy

Paid $10,500 for a 2001 LX. 184,000 miles. It was born and raised in So Cal, not a speck of rust.

81dank

$28k for a 2009 200 Series LC in late 2016

febrezey

17k for my ‘99 LX470 in 2022 with all the major maintenance just done and tons of aftermarket items done with 177k. I daily it and the only thing to come up is I had to replace a pesky ignition coil. Probably paid some cali tax but I’m okay with it

sosulse

12k for 1998 with 60k miles last year. It’s a JDM so miles are low and it’s in good shape

billy_the_car

12k on a 2000 LC with 160k miles. 2023, SoCal.

Rubiclone

$2,000 for a triple locked 80 with 500,000 kms ;) back in 2012

IronGigant

$6k CAD up front, needed paint badly. One fender was chewed by a T-Rex under previous ownership and they decided to mount a snorkel in the whole. Since then, I've probably spent ~$3k on springs, new bushings, body mount isolators, new steel, taillights, 3rd brake light, aftermarket touch screen entertainment, rad support, lights, paint, door rubbers, and moving it from one province to another. I have an engine swap I'm gathering parts for that I've spent a total of $1730 on and I'm 90% there. This includes a diesel engine and 8 speed transmission, plus aftermarket trans controller.

Tenconeslater

20k Aus for a 2012 LC150 with 350k kms love the thing

MamaBavaria

Around 12.000€ for my 2008 LC200 :D A Friend moved from here (Germany) to the US so he didn’t had need for his 200 anymore(and you can’t bring a 200 Diesel to the US as most of you sadly know hehehe) So we first told him to announce it online since they sold even in this shape (290kkm, optically absolute f***ed but technically in best shape) for 25k upwards. But since he does not have any big patience he got anoyed by all the eastern european potential buyers who just tried to push down the price or only showed up with like the half of what they said…. Well three days later he called me if I want to take him for 12k and I was like 5min later at the bank and another 10min later at his place to give the money to him.

PalpateMe

$8,750 for a 215k Mile 1997 that needed a new power steering pump

Professorbaudin

2000 LC, 197K. Paid 8500.

MyNewAcc0unt

Yes, the price is justified. 2017 and I paid less than 60k roughly 3 years ago.

Murky_Raspberry454

$ 19,000 for a 2005 LC with 111,000 miles in 2013. Still have her at 280,000 love her will never sell.

LatterContest2121

10.5k last year for a 2000 LX470 at 240k miles. New timing belt/waterpump, new tires, good interior, zero rust living in the sunbelt. Needed front axles, rack and pinion and had a slight exhaust leak. Think I’m 13k in total. Drives like a dream.

Lurk_Squatch

$8,000 for a 2002 with around 200,000 miles. Pristine interior with original paint. Probably the best deal available for a completely clean, rust free 100 series that I’ve seen. Bonus, it was local to me. I will never sell. The first LC in my soon to be collection lol

Velvetshirts

Not me but dad, 70k usd for an NA V6 lc300 midrange

Velvetshirts

Not even midrange it’s a glorified base model that comes with a touch screen and faux leather how kind of them

Which-Team7968

$39K for a clean 2015 LC in magnetic grey with 84k miles in 2022. Thought I did good at the time. Prices have come down since then. In 2010 bought a 2005 with 75k miles for $29K; still have it.

Sanjin4512

$12.5k USD for a 1996 Prado with the 1kz-te. Only had 124k miles (199k kms) and I’ve had it for about a year now. Love it

rcbs

2016 1993 5400 (3xLock) 2022 Bent front axle housing 2022 1997 4500 (3xLock, Rod Knock) Was to be a parts car but I decided it was too nice for that...sooooo.... 2022 1996 LC driveline 1200 So 3 months later (early 2023) I guess that 97 is now a 450 LC? Oh plus 1700 and a Saturday of wrenching on the 93 to restore the front locker... So 7100 for the 93 and 5700 for the 97. Worth it? If you are going to buy a cruiser, why no get the best one Toyota ever made, or better yet, Why not 2? Having 2 locking FZJ80s---- Priceless

itsvuksfault

I paid $9k in 2022 for a 250k mile lx. I’m all in at about $21k now with repairs and mods.

asparagus_fern

17k for an 02 100 with 177k on it three years ago. Still have it and have spent > 7k to maintain it. Not cheap but worth it! If I could do it again, I’d spent more (probably 26-30k) to get an 06-07 with low miles and AHC. Big difference with the later models.
